Have already written once. I sought services on my neighborhood FB page for squirrel removal in my…read moreattic. A Frank Rummel from Savage Pest Warfare responded and came over to inspect my attic. He arrived in a Savage Pest Warfare vehicle. He put one of my traps and one of his company's traps in my attic. He insisted on payment of 375 on the spot, saying his preference was Venmo. While I was uncomfortable about this I felt that since he worked for a reputable company it would be ok. Bad news. He ghosted me although texted me several times saying he would 'sort it out'. Trying to be fair I said I'd only ask for a 300 refund. Silence. I called the company and they said he made an unauthorized sale since the company did not work in this area. I had to hire someone else to get the squirrels out and am out 375 from this joker. The company has refused to refund me for their clearly crooked employee who still drives the company truck in the neighborhood. Hence I do NOT recommend this company nor do I recommend Frank Rummel (who by the way also made an inappropriate comment to me by text). Keep this man out of your house. Not safe. Sincerely, USN Veteran

I had talked to several providers and Savage Pest Warfare was the first one to offer a viable solution of providing a wire mesh blocking all the beams, thus preventing any further nests. Then proceeds to take a look for 5 minutes in my finished basement and does nothing in terms of patching or any other solution. Doesn't bother to look again at the exact spot the snake previously was. When asked if there are the possibilities for others was summarily dismissed. He chose not to inspect the upstairs for penetration points or the attic if other snakes would be present. We proceed outside, points out a very obvious hole between the brick and a joint for the deck. Then walks around points out the possibility of entering where wires from the AC unit run, but does nothing to address. Walks around and gets "distracted" by fruit trees 50 ft away from the house and says "yeah i get distracted easy" Then proceeds to tell me to patch the hole and to call him back if anything enters. All of this in under 20 min. Went with him based on yelp reviews but did not get anywhere near value for a inspection/setup fee.

None of these methods worked. I did trap a couple of squirrels but they would always come back. Jacob and his assistant came along and in a couple of weeks trapped all the squirrels and sealed a hole near the roof with pest block and sheet metal. Jacob also installed ridge guards on the ridge vents on the roof and put a cover on the dryer vent. Jacob is a nice guy, single-owner business and a subject matter expert. Check out his YouTube videos on removing wildlife from homes. Before hiring Jacob I worked with 2 other companies and both of them never went up on the roof and after hiring one of them they really did not get rid of the squirrels because of not properly identifying the entry hole. Jacob was also the only one that actually scaled the roof to check for entry and exit points. The other company reps/specialists just walked around and went up to the attic. It's peaceful now and I don't hear any more gnawing or scurrying sounds in the attic. I would highly recommend Jacob the Master Trapper for all your wildlife removal needs!

I wish I had called them years ago as there are no more mice in my attic. AT&R not only has high-quality expertise and I also found them professional, courteous, prompt, responsive, and reasonably-priced. I wish I could give them more than five stars!

So when I had a mice (plural) problem. I Was setting traps myself and I went around and sealed any holes to the house. Still was getting mice come in. I new who to call, Phil went around and found many places they were getting in and showed me evidence( mouse droppings and chew marks). I was simply amazed at all the spots he found. I would never thought to look at all the places he found. He fixed the holes for a reasonable price. I set traps and caught a bunch of them. I was mouse free for almost 5 years! Until a week ago my dog caught a mouse (yes, my dog got it). So I knew who to call! Turns out, after my roof was done they undid what Phil had done 5 years ago. Can't say enough on how great they are. He will do the work for you or tell you how to. Also a gives tons of information on how to keep mice away and off your house. Where to put traps and what traps to use. Highly recommend!

And stink bugs. And...pretty much everything creepy crawly that Virginia seems to be home to. So, I called Loudoun Lawn and Pest. I thought if I could go with a small local company verses the big guys with the red diamond, I would. So, Loudoun Pest came out and gave me a quote which had a couple different options. For comparison's sake, I called the guys with the red diamond, and got a quote as well. I don't remember exactly the quotes, but they were pretty similar. After thinking about it and continuing to be thoroughly creeped out by the bugs invading my house, I called Loudoun Lawn and left a message that I was ready to move forward with a service. I got one return message... so I called back and left a message again. And I didn't get a return call. After a couple days, I called again and spoke with someone and gave my address. He said he'd look into the quote and call me back. ....and 1 1/2 weeks later I've never gotten a return call. One message not returned, I can excuse. Maybe it got lost. But a total of 2 calls without a return call especially after speaking with someone? This yanks my review down to 1 star. So, I went with the guys with the red diamond.

I chose them because they are locally owned and they have "greener" options for treatments. They have only had to treat the interior of my house 2 times during the spring ant bloom in our neighborhood, all other services and products stay outside. Although they don't claim this, we have also seen far fewer stink bugs make it into the house since we've been using their regular service. Program was $150 set-up fee then $85 per quarter. If you see bugs between treatments they come back out at no charge until you are satisfied. We have also used them for summer yard treatments ($85 per month for program) due to rampant mosquitoes and the risk of Lyme disease from ticks in Loudoun county. Again they have less-toxic options which I appreciate. Not all mosquitoes are gone, particularly towards the end of the between-spraying period, but our deck is much more usable now than before. Haven't seen a single tick. Also called them out for squirrels in the attic this spring. I didn't want to get stuck with a $15,000 bill for repairs and reinsulation like a neighbor who ignored her problem. They came out within a couple of days, did a full inspection and wrote up a quote for a couple of options for exclusion that were very reasonable. We ended up having our roofer (who was supposed to have done it during a replacement earlier in the year) do the repairs. Recently we heard some more scratching in the attic and Casey, the owner, came out within a couple of days to check it out. He suggested it might be a mouse, there was no sign of anything larger, and put down some rodenticide. The whole visit was at no charge because we are regular customers of theirs. We are very happy with their service and I have recommended them to neighbors several times.
