I saw mice in my garage an shed so called Veteran Pest. When Enrique arrived today, he did a thorough inspection of my home and found evidence of squirrels in my attic in my home and over my garage. He set bait stations for the rats and mice as originally planned, provided an estimate for the squirrel problem along with with some good suggestions. I am very happy with this company. read more

The Veteran Pest Co. tries to over-dramatize a problem to over-charge. They promised a free estimate, but then wouldn't send someone to the house, so I sent photos of a wasp nest, and they said that because an employee would have to wear bee protective attire and get up on a ladder, it would cost $325, since it was yellow jackets. They didn't send a contract or have a receipt available when the employee came. He took 10 minutes to spray and didn't wear proper protective attire, didn't get up on a ladder. He just used a stick to put some product in the nest, used a retail spray can and didn't have information on the product. I said it was expensive for what was done. He called the owner, Morgan who said he'd give 10% senior discount only. But every day since, wasps came inside my home, and kept rebuilding the nest, so after a week, I called back, but they wouldn't answer the phone. I had a friend call Morgan, and while she explained to him what I needed, he hung up on her!! I finally got a call back to schedule re-treatment, but then another a call from Morgan to say he was refunding my money since I had made such a fuss. I DO NOT recommend this unprofessional, way-overpriced company. read more

Signed a one year service agreement where they come out on a quarterly basis. Jerry has been out to the house a couple of times to spray in and outside and to put out exterior stations. Jerry is friendly and very customer service oriented. He'll call 10-15 minutes out and always arrives as scheduled. The scheduling ladies are friendly and their appt times are exact. None of this 4 hour window and hope they show up. Haven't seen any ants in the kitchen, nor heard any rumblings in the attic at night. Would definitely recommend! read more

Last year they solved a very mysterious problem that I had with black mold growing all over my patio every time another company sprayed for mosquitos; as soon as Veteran Pest took over my mosquito spraying, the problem went away. This year they've helped with a chronic chipmunk problem, and most recently they dispatched someone very quickly to remove a deer that wondered into my yard and died (during a heatwave). After several weeks of hearing some scratching in the attic, I finally decided to call the pros in. Daniel showed up and took the time to listen to all of the initial observations I had, and initially diagnosed the issue as one or more squirrels in the attic. Surely enough, he spotted one right as he went up in the attic to do an initial inspection. He set up live capture traps and set expectations on how often they would come to refresh the traps what to do if I heard the squirrel in the trap, and quoted me a worst case scenario on what it would take to fix the issue after they had (hopefully) caught the squirrel. Two weeks later, and the squirrel had evaded all of the traps! But Daniel, cool, calm, and collected worked with me to on revising the plan. A few days later, and the squirrel was finally caught! Charlie came by and hopped right up into my attic to grab the caught squirrel which was in a very tough to reach spot, replaced it with a new trap, and released the squirrel later that day. Charlie and Daniel both came by later in the week and sealed up all 4 entry points that a squirrel had been using (or could easily use in the future. Daniel, Charlie, and Jerry (who came a few times) were all fantastic and it is clear that they all work together cohesively as a team. Daniel gets 5 stars for his commitment to customer service, communication, attention to detail, and commitment to resolving the issue. I'd easily recommend his (and the broader team) to any family member, friend, or neighbor in need of wildlife or pest control. read more

I'm not sure you could call a more honest pest service in the area - these guys were great. We moved from Springfield and had a pest company in the past for rats and mice. So we've already dealt with the hassle that it is dealing with most pest companies on the exaggerated sales pitches. We needed a pest company to come to Round Hill for a bat inspection (a bat got in during our move but we weren't sure where it got in other than an open door) and a growing wasp's nest by the front door. They were quick to answer the call and got us on the schedule within a week. We had a thorough and helpful inspector come out. He did a very detailed search. Found no bats or entry points. Most pest companies these days try to sell you on a bait box plan even if they don't see any activity. They try to say "one day you might have a problem, etc". Especially for things like mice because they are so common. This guy did none of that. At the end of the inspection he took care of the wasp nest too. And we paid about half of what we had hoped it would be. So they were affordable and honest - telling us we will unlikely have an attic pest problem even in the future. I couldn't even believe he didn't try to upsell us to a regular service or try to fear-monger us Highly recommend them! read more

We had an excellent experience with Veteran Pest and Wildlife Services to remove birds that had invaded our house vents causing damage and a foul smell coming into our home. Morgan provided upfront, clear, and straight-forward information before scheduling us in a timely manner. Jerry and Enrique provided the service. They were timely, polite, and professional. They briefly educated us on the species of bird (the invasive European Starling), inspected for damage, removed the nest, sanitized the area, and put in place a new screen over the vent to prevent future issues. After that they cleaned up all the debris. All this was completely within 20-30 minutes. After assessing our home's ant issue, they took care of it just by spraying outside around the house. We had a mouse problem. It started with finding one crawling around in our recycling bin. After they started raiding our pantry, my wife opened the pantry one morning and found one staring back at her. That was when we knew we needed professional help. Veteran came out the next day and evaluated the entire house. They set bait traps in key locations inside and out. Within 2 days we stopped seeing any evidence of mice. After three weeks they came back out and checked the traps, and refilled the bait. It was clear they had mostly been active at the outdoor ones.
