We proceed outside, points out a very obvious hole between the brick and a joint for the deck. Then walks around points out the possibility of entering where wires from the AC unit run, but does nothing to address. Walks around and gets "distracted" by fruit trees 50 ft away from the house and says "yeah i get distracted easy" Then proceeds to tell me to patch the hole and to call him back if anything enters. I contacted him May 16th to see if he could come earlier because I have bugs dropping out of the vent due to the starling nest: No response. I contacted him again on May 19th to be sure he was coming again the next day, because the situation is extremely bad: No response. It is the end of the day on May 20th, and he did not show up. He did not attempt to get back to me in anyway. I prepaid for a (small) portion of what should have been today's fix, and I now have a full blown bird mite infestation instead.

Because of the nature of the situation and the health hazard, I had to call another company to fix the faulty job they did. Companies like Jesse James do not care about customers... customers who work hard NOT to throw away money! I called yesterday evening after being traumatized by catching my 8th mouse (first one on a sticky tap). I called after hours and left a voicemail message asking for a call back about my issues; my phone rang at 7:50am this morning letting me know that if I was able, the service tech would be at my house between 9 and 10. The tech pulled in at 9:15 and after a quick discussion about what I'd been experiencing, the tech located the entry point in under 10 minutes. There was no sales pitch about everything they could do to my home to keep it mouse free, no talking down to me about what I didn't know about pest control - after a mutual conversation about the best way to handle the issue (fill the entry point with foam), I was told that because he was certain that's where the entry point was, he would fill it for free rather than jumping into a $300-$400 service plan understanding that I could call back if his fix didn't solve my problem. I was astounded and very happy that he would offer that service for free, but I couldn't let him do that - I ended up signing a quarterly contract that not only deals with bugs, but also mice. He fulfilled my first interior and exterior spray before leaving this morning. And...pretty much everything creepy crawly that Virginia seems to be home to. So, I called Loudoun Lawn and Pest. I thought if I could go with a small local company verses the big guys with the red diamond, I would. So, Loudoun Pest came out and gave me a quote which had a couple different options. For comparison's sake, I called the guys with the red diamond, and got a quote as well. I don't remember exactly the quotes, but they were pretty similar. After thinking about it and continuing to be thoroughly creeped out by the bugs invading my house, I called Loudoun Lawn and left a message that I was ready to move forward with a service. I got one return message... so I called back and left a message again. And I didn't get a return call. After a couple days, I called again and spoke with someone and gave my address. He said he'd look into the quote and call me back. ....and 1 1/2 weeks later I've never gotten a return call. One message not returned, I can excuse. Maybe it got lost. But a total of 2 calls without a return call especially after speaking with someone? This yanks my review down to 1 star. So, I went with the guys with the red diamond.

I had several estimates prior too communicating with Ali so I can confirm that his price was competitive. When he arrived at my house it was encouraging to learn that the person that came to do the estimate was the same person who was going to do the work. This is an important distinction because I have had experiences in the past were the person estimating and the one who was sent to do the job were not in sync so the service could not be performed. The end result is usually just a waste of time for everyone. An added bonus to this dynamic was that Ali was able to do the work the moment we agreed on a price so there was no waiting to schedule another appointment. It was a big load off my mind to get the service done immediately. In the end, he had to come back a second time because they first installed a one way door to allow the squirrels to exit humanely and then they came back to close the access point off. I have provided some pictures below of all three phases of this rodent remediation for everyone's review. In the end, I can honestly say I am very happy with the result.
