An absolute gem in the middle of Oregon Wine Country!…read more A beautifully restored farm property with five well-appointed rooms, each with a serene, private patio, king sized bed, heated bathroom floors, corner fireplace, and large tub. The rooms are clean and spacious with coffee makers, refrigerators, and comfortable furnishings. The true highlight however, is the amazing breakfast! Each day we were treated to fresh coffee, homemade scones, yogurt with fresh fruit, a hearty main course, and fresh smoothies. Everything we had over the three days was incredible and perfect before a day of wine tasting. Dan and Maureen are very personable and kind and have truly created a tranquil, comfortable, and gorgeous property that we highly recommend! The definition of a true bed and breakfast!

There's a nice private patio to relax and enjoy a glass of Oregon Pinot Noir. Each room has a king-size memory foam bed, en-suite bath with heated floors, large soaking tub, coffee maker, and more..... A farm-fresh 4-course gourmet breakfast served each morning at 9:00am, they will ask what time you want it served. I enjoyed fresh baked scones, yogurt parfait, banana smoothie, and smoked salmon scramble. A nice hearty breakfast to get your day started for wine tasting. There is a two night stay minimum. Inspiring and energetic local art adorns the walls by Jo Morton from Eugene. They are centrally located to many wineries and downtown Newberg. Say hi to George the cat. Dan and Maureen are as nice at they come! Enjoy

Every last detail has been taken care of!…read more The warmth and charm of the inn is second only to that of its staff. We were greeted with friendly smiles from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The decor has a classy rustic vibe and everything is high quality and very comfortable. There are many different places to sit and take in the views, both inside and outside. The room accommodations are outstanding. The linens are luxurious, and pretty. The room is fresh and ultra clean (even in the corners!). There's a beautiful tasting room on property, a cozy/casual cellar bar, and an award-winning restaurant with a 10 course prix fixe dining experience. The views of the vineyard, lavender bushes and valley are straight out of a storybook! The pics we saw online ahead of time don't do this property justice-no picture could. We cannot wait to come back!

We were greeted at the desk by Ryan with a glass of their sister winery's rose and then proceeded on a tour of the inn. It is a small boutique inn with only about 18 rooms total. I believe while we were there, there may have been maybe 4-5 other couples (that we only saw at breakfast). It is just a lovely place with a sitting room with a huge fireplace, a quaint breakfast room, and several patio areas with fire pits overlooking the valley. One firepit stays on all the time (already I was excited to "need" a firepit in August!). Ryan then walked us across the entryway to a separate smaller building and into our room which was the Deluxe Valley View room...with glass doors that opened directly onto a sweet little patio with adirondack chairs and table overlooking the vineyard. We spent every morning here drinking tea before breakfast and most evenings here drinking wine before bed. And speaking of breakfast! Every morning was a treat...several options you can choose from, mix and match your pastry with your fresh fruit with your main dish with your beverage with your coffee, all a great way to bellywad before a day of wine tastings! Do yourself a favor and get the SCONE every morning! I discovered that sadly on my last day :( All of the staff were super sweet and accommodating. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy! But that view tho! Makes me want to submit a resume!

My husband and I had a delightful stay here celebrating our 12 year anniversary. When we arrived,…read moreKristin greeted us and showed us around the B&B. Their common areas include a dining room, a living room, a small library (with books and games) and TV room, as well as front and back porches. We originally booked the Oregon Trail room, but Kristin offered to upgrade us to the Oregon Coast room at a discounted rate. We chose the Oregon Coast room for the private balcony and stunning views over the valley. The room was lovely and comfortable. Toiletries, robes, and slippers are all provided for the guests. Our room also had an electric fireplace, which was nice. There was no TV, but that wasn't an issue for us. This is their handicapped accessible room, so there were extra shower and toilet seat handle bars. We stayed two nights and enjoyed two amazing breakfasts prepared by Ayelet. Over the two days, we were treated to blueberry French Toast, a poached pear, homemade bread, scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, blueberry scones, and a baked apple. Plus a selection of their homemade jelly/jam. A lot of the ingredients were sourced right from the property. While we ate, Ayelet asked us about our plans for the day, and she offered super helpful suggestions on what to do, where to go, what to eat. She even gave us printed maps! Some other noteworthy items: you get one free T-shirt with your stay; you have a choice of breakfast at 8 or 9 am; there are coolers, sunscreen, and sunglasses you can borrow; they ask your breakfast beverage of choice and usually have it out in the dining room an hour before your breakfast time; there are always homemade cookies, water, and glasses by the mini fridge; you can buy their homemade jam/jelly as well as T-shirts, mugs, coasters, etc. We loved our stay here. The view was gorgeous, the food was delicious, our room was comfortable, and Ayelet was amazing!

Overwhelmed by all the wineries? They can help navigate with excellent suggestions. Breakfast is offered at 8 or 9 am - my only suggestion would be having coffee available at 7am to hold me over (coming from east coast, even 8am was late for me). Even the jams at breakfast are for sale, and reasonably priced for the unique combinations. An outstanding base for a few days in Oregon's beautiful wine country.

I re-read my post, and want to clarify. Their old Mollie, which watched Brutus, has a boarder…read morecollie instinct to keep her care "within the boarder." She was babysitting Brutus while in my absence. :) Also, quickly about dogs: 2 fantastic neighbor dogs came silently but enthusiastically running into the property to greet Brutus. So know that. She sent us a ceremony we could edit, incorporating our own written vows and the ring-exchange sections; we could see the flow of the ceremony beforehand and knew it would be natural and lovely. It was. Harold McKay grew up on the beautiful wine-country land where the inn is located, and he and Leah create a graceful, easy, peaceful atmosphere both on the site where outdoor ceremonies take place and in the room we had for the night. In the morning on the day after our ceremony, Harold made us an absolutely fantastic breakfast--fluffy scrambled eggs, beer pancakes, bacon, orange juice, coffee. (He and Leah, John, and I had such a great breakfast, laughing and telling stories, that John and I didn't want to leave.) We sincerely recommend Owls Nest Inn as the place for your wedding

I was a walk in for their restaurant tonight, party of one. Not the most sought after for them,…read morebut was in town on business and wanted a nice dinner. They have a "Chef's Table" that I thought would be nice since I am a single and you can watch them cook. Was told that would be 45 minutes to an hour, but their "Living Room" was available. Okay, sat there. Meal was very good, server nice and it is not her fault they tried to deliver food I didn't order to my table, clearly no Michelin star. Not the most comfortable table since more like a lounge, but okay. After dropping $230 on myself, what was annoying was the Chef's table was empty when I was leaving just like when I came in. WTF? Attitude from a hostess is not high class, graciousness is. In this area they failed.

What an amazing surprise from my sweet husband…read more My husband surprise booked a night and whole day spa for my 40th birthday. I had no idea I was coming here, even less idea of the services I was getting. But here we are. We started off with Maisy doing my mud treatment Then Trisha who did my massage during a couple treatment Followed by for my hydrofacial What an incredible time here. Honestly it's clean, service so friendly, so professional and very relaxing. I was blessed that I came with some girlfriends before Covid but have not been back since. What a blessing to be surprised by my husband for this lovely treat.
