Someone told me before we attended the school that the students are like family, and they view each other as siblings and I didn't get it until we started at TOCA. But equally important is the care each teacher gives to each student. These aren't just teachers doing a job. These are educators dedicated to a mission of providing a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment for young minds to grow. What more could you ask for?

Most of the teachers are amazing, but unfortunately, a few have slipped through the cracks. My youngest unfortunately has Ms. Defort and has been telling me since January that he feels she doesn't like him. When I brought this up to the assistant principal it was dismissed. We are counting the days until his 3rd grade year is over. They fired me as lunch supervisor- on my birthday- claiming "a student was lost due to not being watched under my supervision". Turns out that was a blatant lie. They keep longtime supervisors who get into verbal altercations with each other in front of the kids. Their online menu is inaccurate and I had to leave on several occasions just to get my own child lunch because again, incompetence. The principal, Cherish, doesn't seem to manage stress well at all and it shows. I am so glad we are almost done with this school.

This Principal, Mrs. Robinson, is a very nice lady and will take ANY questions you may have about ANYTHING!!! Assistant Principal, Mr Hibler, is just O.K. He yells at children, which is why I gave the school three stars. I would say the classrooms are decent size, but could be bigger, especially when you have a bigger class. I'm not sure the yelling at children helps stop the child from doing bad things, but it may seem rude to parents, and may scare the children. I love the teachers my children have had. The children's teachers are: Kayla: K Miss Tessler, 1 Ms Fricke, 2 Miss Micklinghoff, 3 Mrs Hauck, 4 Ms Hare (Kolowaski) 5, Ms Sterbenz (now) Zoe: K Miss M, 1 Ms Erber, 2 Miss DeBlok, 3 Miss Hauck (now) Michael: K Miss M (now) So overall the teachers I have crossed paths with are nice and helpful.
