    Patio in the rain

Wow! Stopped in for brunch after our driver told us about this place. So glad we did! Our servers, Zdenek and Petr were absolutely wonderful. We sat on the patio/garden on a rainy morning. It was nice and warm and so very beautiful. The food was epic. I usually stay away from places that have pictures on the menu, but it was amazing to see how the food looked exactly as they represented it and also the flavors were on point. Need to come for dinner, but unfortunately it's our last day. So next time we are in Prague it will be on our list again!!!! The entrees, drinks and dessert were all perfect!!

We came here for dinner on our first night in Prague after a freind reccomended it. The food and ambiance were amazing and the service was next level. Dress a little nicer for a special evening. The espresso martinis were also delicious.

Wonderful food and service! It had a nice classy ambiance and the decor was very "aesthetic" with a touch of nature. I loved the pianist, they played classical pieces with a modern song here and there. I had the Fallow Deer saddle and the Golden Egg. It was my first time eating deer, and it lived up to my expectations! The egg was delicious, although it was a bit small but I am used to American portions so I'm not complaining. I am definitely coming back the next time I am in Prague!!

    Deer Breakfast - Venison Sausage

Had never been to a restaurant that structured it's menu around Venison. Very cool. The deer sausage was spectacular and would definitely recommend getting the meatballs as well.

Food was fabulous! Every dish we ordered was outstanding. There's a great wine list too and our waiter suggested a delicious local wine. Come and enjoy this restaurant for it's great food and beautiful atmosphere. You'll have a wonderful memory.

We ate here a few times during our stay, from late night desserts because the pictures were just too tempting not to and a club sandwhich to amazing dinners including fried shrimp, wagyu burger, pasta dish and a deer dish. We were all happy with everthing we received, reviewing menu to catch up on reviews I'm beind on it seems their menu changes at least seasonally as some of our dishes i didn't find on the current menu. (visited April 19- review June 19) Wait staff appeared to be stretched a little too thin for such a small place, remembering that in Europe they aren't forthcoming with checking in on you and refilling your drinks or getting your check this place did not dissapoint keeping that in mind! If we were staying nearby when we return to Prague we would likely stop back in for some good game dishes.

I made a reservation a month in advance, but did not know I had to specifically request for tables outside on the river. When we arrived, only a few outdoor tables were taken, but was told the rest were reserved, so we were seated indoors instead. When we finished our dinner, the same few outdoor tables were occupied. I don't know why the restaurant couldn't just stagger the guests for the outdoor tables according to their reservation times.

It was my second visit to Prague so I was taking my time to see more than the "must see things." As I said, I stumbled onto the restaurant because I was taking in the park where artists were painting, people were reading and I pulled out my phone to use the Merlin app to identify birds that were singing. It was totally picturesque. But I wasn't hungry. So I regretfully moved on without eating there. Imagine the elation a few days later when someone in our group booked a dinner reservation for us at the same place I was regretting having missed! With a group of a dozen of us, I think someone ordered everything on the menu. We were all thrilled. We had appetizers , cocktails and entrees -- everything we had was great! The restaurant is family-owned and we were treated to the son being a primary server for our group. Now and then dad was part of the picture too and we enjoyed the added dynamic. Pretty sure the son is on point for Americans as his English was on point. They were great hosts!

To start I had the marinated salmon which was one of the best starters I have had. Complex flavours and textures are complimented by an appropriate chilli hit which brings the whole dish together perfectly. The coconut crumb was a touch of genius. Hubby had the fried peppers, they were 3 stuffed and fried peppers that he loved, I found the habanero too spicy for me. For mains I had the lamb, one of the best lamb dishes I have had. Perfectly cooked lamb, both sou vide and grilled. Accompaniments were delicious and the chilli hit of the perfect sauce made the dish sing. Hubby had the black pearl, love the theatre of it all...you sign a waiver and they present you with a tray of tissues, milk and vodka to ease the burn. The dish was beautifully presented. I managed 3 little tastes and my tummy burned for a long time after. Surprising, the flavors were excellent. Hubby ate most of it but he did suffer through it....definitely not for the faint hearted. I would be back often if I lived here! After dining at some of the worlds top rated restaurants...I can say that this is a true gem thay clearly has some mad genius at the helm, a person who understands delicate flavors and chilli and plates like a God. They provided pate and some bread "on the house" to start. I do not like pate so I didn't touch mine. The service was great overall. Great place if you want to try something other than goulash and the other Czech fare offered around town. Pro tip: they charge you for the bread basket if you eat a slice. It was like 10 crowns.

I was warmly greeted immediately upon walking in and asked if I wanted to sit in the front or back of dining areas. I chose the back away from the door and windows to avoid any possible cold drafts. The decor was nice and the place had a few patrons. Prices were reasonable and I was surprised at their large selection of items. I chose the roasted duck with red cabbage and potatoe dumplings. Honey, I enjoyed everything on my plate. That duck was nicely seasoned and one of the best I've tasted in awhile. I was full and wasn't sure if I could handle dessert but my waiter, Mirick convinced me to try. He was a sweetheart, very professional. He told me to make sure I bring cash for tips because a lot of places in Prague dont let you add the tip with the bill using a debit/ credit card which I understand. Now back to that dessert. I ordered the powdered mini pancakes, blueberries, vanilla icecream with this delicious sauce. Uhmm uhmm I had to hide this protruding stomach when I stood up. Everything was well made and hit all the right spots. I would definitely check this spot out if you're in the area.

Be aware that this is a Michelin star restaurant and it's fine dining, so reservations are a must. Don't expect to just walk in. And to experience the food, I always order the full tasting menu. I truly could live happily on toast, boiled potatoes, fruit, and Diet Coke. I'm also both a vegetarian and someone with a fairly limited palate, so I didn't think Field would be a hit for me. WOW was this an amazing experience! First: gorgeous space. Comfy tables, set far enough apart so we didn't feel crowded, and it didn't get loud. Beautiful artwork on the ceiling. Bright. Cheery. We loved it. We are visiting our son who lives a few hours south of Prague. My husband and son are fabulously adventurous eaters and they gifted me with this outing to Field, a Friday lunch reservation at 1:30 pm. Lunch seems the perfect time to come as the restaurant was not totally booked and we had so much attention from staff, including the front desk, wait staff, sommelier, and bartender. But I'm guessing dinner would be a blast, too. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Our lead waitress was Michaela, and she was the most polished and professional server I've ever met!! We felt so well cared for. In our 3 person party we had me: a vegetarian, and our son who has severe food allergies, to peanuts, pine nuts, and most nuts. 2 of the 3 don't drink any alcohol. Amazingly, it was not a problem at all. In fact, they were prepared!! There was a vegetarian prix fixe menu, with both a large and a smaller option, plus we could order the 'non-alcoholic' version of the wine pairings. So we did. My son had phoned ahead to inform them about his food allergies, and Michaela and the bartender confirmed them when we were seated. The staff was so welcoming and completely knowledgeable about ingredients. They did a fantastic job keeping my son safe, like bringing out his dessert first so it would come close to the 5 other pastries that included nuts. The bartender made him a special cocktail that was hazelnut-free. The 'pesto' was made with pumpkin seeds instead of pine nuts. The staff told us the ingredients of every single dish and cocktail!! And literally showed us! Our waitress brought over a tray that included things like snails, crawfish, and artichokes, and then she told us where they'd sourced them in Czechia! Except the crawfish, as we learned they are a protected animal in Czechia, so they are brought in from Germany. We loved that part, hearing where all of these beautiful ingredients came from. I'll include a few photos from both my vegetarian and their regular prix fixe adventures. The pea soup was my favorite! My son said the deer main dish was the 'best thing I've ever eaten, in my entire life'. I didn't take photos of the non-alcoholic cocktails, but those were lovely. Especially a super fun foamy pomegranate one!
