Dr. Jones is a fantastic physician--attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about his patients. Unfortunately, the rest of the operation has completely fallen apart over the past year, and the experience no longer reflects the high standard of care that once defined this office. The administrative side has become a mess. On multiple occasions, I've arrived for appointments--lab visits and provider visits alike--only to find that staff weren't even on site. No phone call or text to notify me that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. This has happened three times in six months. Between taking time off work, arranging childcare, and driving across town, it's incredibly frustrating and a huge waste of time. What used to feel like a concierge-level practice now feels like an afterthought. The lack of respect for patients' time and the repeated scheduling failures make it impossible to rely on this office for consistent care. I don't know if it's a management issue or fallout from the Amazon acquisition, but either way, this location no longer delivers the quality or professionalism that patients deserve. **update: you will see response below from OneMedical. This is a perfect example of this going downhill. They have all the info they need - why am I wasting MORE of my time regurgitating it to their email inbox. I'm a generally healthy person with no complaints who is on a couple long-term maintenance medications for stable conditions. Not only did they require multiple appointments for simple prescription refills, but they then coded these visits as high-complexity - despite the fact that I didn't request them, I had no complaints, and all I needed was a prescription refill (for frame of reference, my previous provider wrote 12-month prescriptions for the same meds). I was billed $176 for each of the virtual prescription refill appointments. My final appointment there before I called it quits was a 15-minute virtual appointment (again, that the provider requested, not me) where ALL I NEEDED was a refill. The provider herself actually coded it correctly, and the billing team overrode the provider and change the appointment to the high-complexity code. I have worked in medical billing, and these appointments do not meet the requirements of a high-complexity code. They will bill EVERYTHING as high-complexity. So if you're someone with a high-deducible plan, this is NOT the practice for you. (Sidenote - they also admitted to me that their self-pay prices are actually LOWER than my contracted rate with insurance, but they would not give me the self-pay price). I went back and forth with their billing team, telling them I'd be happy to pay the bill when it was the correct amount. They stopped responding to me in February 2025. Today I got a letter from collections. I'm petty so I'll be fighting this until the bitter end and making sure that by the time this is over, they'll have spent more than $176 on collections and paying their billing team to argue with me, but I recommend saving yourself the hassle and just avoiding this practice altogether. (Also I can't wait for the part where I get their auto response to this review telling me how concerned they are and to reach out to discuss. I've already done that multiple times and no one there cares to remedy this situation!)

Well later in life that caught up to me. I have been through multiple rounds of physical therapy for my back pain and it stopped working. In October 2024 a small movement set me back to where I couldn't move without being in pain. After 3 weeks of living like this I came across an ad with Dr. Serafini and made an appointment. On my first appointment they did a full evaluation of my pain levels, spine, and injury history. It was also the first time someone ever actually X-rayed my back. The care and compassion the team had was incredible and I felt seen and heard. On my next appointment I started with some light physical therapy and Dr. Serafini reviewed my X-rays with me in depth and explained how we were going to essentially give me my life back. As a now 32 year old who had to decline going out with friends, work from bed most days and not be able to sit in a car for more than 15 mins at a time I was willing to try anything. After my first adjustment I felt instant relief and my mobility dramatically improved! After another 2 adjustments I could actually touch my toes.... something I haven't been able to do since high school. 2 months later I am able to sit for hours in the car when I drive to visit family and actually sit at a desk for work. I cannot express how thankful I am that I found this incredible facility. Before seeing Dr. Serafini and Dr. Moslow I wasn't 100% sure on chiropractic care. Jacy made scheduling easy, and the communication and reminders leading up to the appointment were excellent. Likewise, on the day of my appointment, when I arrived, the receptionist was also warm, welcoming, and friendly, which made for a good first impression. That said, the experience changed significantly once the actual appointment began. One thing that immediately stood out to me on my May 11th visit was the lack of any bottled water or self-serve water station in the lobby, especially on a 100-degree Scottsdale day. It may seem minor, but patient comfort matters, and it's something I'd genuinely recommend improving. The appointment itself started with a medical assistant, Romina, doing a pre-screen while an intern observed. When Dr. Serafini entered, the dynamic quickly felt less patient-centered and more performance-driven. He dominated nearly every interaction, leaving little room for conversation or collaboration. At one point, I tried to add context about my symptoms and experience, and he abruptly responded with a very quick, "cool, cool, cool" before moving on. It felt dismissive and strangely cold. For context, I'm usually very talkative and engaged in medical appointments, but throughout this visit I found myself withdrawing because I didn't feel listened to. When discussing prior surgeries, Dr. Serafini immediately declared, "that's your problem right there," before reviewing imaging or completing a meaningful assessment. I explained that the surgery had been nearly 40 years ago and how I didn't believe adhesions to be likely only because they would have shown up by now and also, my symptom only began recently after horseback riding this year. His response felt more focused on establishing authority than understanding my situation, reminding me he'd done this for 25 years. My perspective didn't seem to matter much. And because I don't believe in arguing or peacocking, I didn't feel the need to remind him I've been in this body, feeling what's new vs what's normal for me for 46 years. The physical assessment itself often felt theatrical, almost like a demonstration for the intern observing. There was a lot of lecturing, showmanship, eye contact with the intern while speaking about concepts, and attempts to guide me toward agreement during strength testing; but not much genuine, unscripted dialogue. There were a few times where I honestly couldn't tell whether the supposed weakness he was pointing out was actually present. When this would happen, he seemed disappointed at my truth. It was only apparent some of the time. After X-rays were taken, I expected we would review them together and discuss findings. Instead, I was told to go to the front desk and schedule another hour-long appointment. I later learned I would not even be shown my X-rays, given a diagnosis, or discuss results until a follow-up visit. I paid for my appointment (assessment, x-rays, and exam), with tons of talking at me, but received NO value (diagnosis and no treatment/adjustment to kick off my treatment). I don't mind paying, when I receive value. In fact I'll be paying cash for my physical therapy appointments scheduled somewhere else. I think it's important to let other people know what to expect. That was extremely disappointing and confusing. I left having completed an exam, assessment, and X-rays -- but "without" any treatment, adjustment, diagnosis, or explanation of findings. I also had to ask basic questions while they were trying to schedule a second appointment for me, with no upfront explanation of future charges or treatment costs. I finally said, "You don't accept insurance, so I need to understand treatment costs for these appts." Only then did they provide information. Until that point, they were simply assuming the sale -- perhaps counting on some patients being too uncomfortable to pause and ask questions or decline next steps. I couldn't do that. I already had 5-6 physical therapy sessions scheduled elsewhere, a fact I had already related to the doctor that before he sent me to the front desk to sign up for physical therapy with them. Overall, the experience felt much more like a sales presentation than a healthcare appointment. They don't earn your business, but require you to continue to do business with them before they show your x-rays you've paid for, & discuss what your ailment is & get you adjusted to start feeling better. While the front-end staff and scheduling process were genuinely excellent, I personally did not feel heard, comfortable, or cared for once the doctor interaction began, and I won't be returning. And for those who need to know, they don't accept insurance. This is fine, but come into it eyes wide open since I don't know if everyone knows & it makes a difference for some.

To make a long story short, here is are bullet points of what occurred: 1) Reached out to OM to ensure they accepted the new insurance plan I was considering. I was told by TWO different employees that they accepted it. 2) I used this insurance to see my doctor several times over a health concern. 3) Received a bill stating I would need to pay all out of pocket because OM didn't accept my plan. 4) Reached out to various departments at OM asking about this. After several attempts and many delays in getting someone to respond, I was finally told to speak to the office manager. 5) Office manager informed me they would look into it and see what could be done. Few weeks went by, no response. Reached out various times and finally heard back from a new office manager who told me she would look into the issue. 6) Several more weeks went by and still nothing. Left messages and emails and after about 4 months of this, was told I would need to speak to my insurance since they couldn't help me. 7) Due to the amount of time between having received the initial bill and finally being told I need to figure it out myself, I asked for them to please not send the bill to collections since I am very aware that medical offices will quickly take this route. 8) Was informed that they had already sent me to collections and there was nothing they could do about it and didn't even try to make it right by offering to refund my membership or anything else. 9) Had to pay the full bill through a collection agency which has now affect my credit all due to their staff being incompetent.
