Well later in life that caught up to me. I have been through multiple rounds of physical therapy for my back pain and it stopped working. In October 2024 a small movement set me back to where I couldn't move without being in pain. After 3 weeks of living like this I came across an ad with Dr. Serafini and made an appointment. On my first appointment they did a full evaluation of my pain levels, spine, and injury history. It was also the first time someone ever actually X-rayed my back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The care and compassion the team had was incredible and I felt seen and heard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On my next appointment I started with some light physical therapy and Dr. Serafini reviewed my X-rays with me in depth and explained how we were going to essentially give me my life back. As a now 32 year old who had to decline going out with friends, work from bed most days and not be able to sit in a car for more than 15 mins at a time I was willing to try anything. After my first adjustment I felt instant relief and my mobility dramatically improved! After another 2 adjustments I could actually touch my toes.... something I haven't been able to do since high school. 2 months later I am able to sit for hours in the car when I drive to visit family and actually sit at a desk for work. I cannot express how thankful I am that I found this incredible facility. Before seeing Dr. Serafini and Dr. Moslow I wasn't 100% sure on chiropractic care. What sold me is that they only work on what is needed and explain everything so thoroughly! Ava also taught me how to exercise correctly to avoid further injuring myself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I've ever had at a medical office when I tried to schedule an appointment with The Scottsdale Chiropractor this past week.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On Tuesday afternoon I called to book an appointment and specifically asked about insurance. The person I spoke with (Abbi) assured me that as soon as I completed the paperwork she would verify my coverage and send everything over.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I finished the entire paperwork packet in under 10 minutes that same day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wednesday passed with no word. On Thursday I received a text telling me to "complete my paperwork" -- even though I had already done it on Tuesday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I immediately called back and was told they still hadn't checked my insurance but would do so first thing Friday morning. They promised to text me right away if it wasn't accepted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I showed up Friday morning at 9:15 for my 9:30 appointment. At 9:35 -- after I had already been sitting there for 20 minutes -- Abbi casually informed me that my insurance is not accepted, they would not be billing it at all, and I would have to pay the full cash price on the spot. The level of disorganization is mind-blowing. They had 2 full days to verify a simple insurance question, gave me conflicting information at every step, wasted my time, and told me it wasn't covered when I was there. I had already arrived for the appointment. It felt completely unprofessional and borderline deceptive. I truly assume they've done this to other patients. If you have insurance and value basic competence and honesty, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is not worth your time or money. read more

My first impression during my consultation was that these are doctors who care and will try different methods to get the best results. I came into their office post-chemotherapy with terrible knee pain, and such low quality of life that even standing for a minute required me to sit back down. Within three adjustments/2 PTs, my knee pain was nearly gone. I'd also gotten a recommendation for a naturopathic doctor during my consultation and that referral probably saved my life! From October 2024-March 2025, I feel like an entirely new person and that is because of this practice. It's funny (not really) how we can take for granted the many movements our bodies make on a daily basis.  You never appreciate how wonderfully your body works until you lose some of that functionality and then suddenly you are supremely aware of the stark difference between what you were once capable of and what is now your reality.  I have had a few of these awakenings in the past and am grateful to have recovered from them. My most recent was the loss of mobility in my shoulder and the addition of a great deal of pain when trying to use my right arm/shoulder or even to look up above door knob level in a room.       I am again a fully functional human!   I shuffled into Valley Spinal Care Kierland in a lot of pain and now I am walking without pain.  You see when I shuffled in, I looked like a bad impersonation of the hunchback of Notre Dame.  Today I can walk normally and without pain due to the efforts and expertise and empathy of Dr. Serafini and his and wonderful staff.       The day I shuffled in, they did an xray on me and I couldn't stand straight for it.  The x-ray revealed a zig zag in my spine and I don't mean the rolling paper... it was painful just to look at.  That twisted mangled version of myself could barely lift his head to look around the room at peoples feet much less be able to see the ceiling.  I distinctly remember one day after a session with Demaris Parker and Dr. Serafiniwalking out to my vehicle in considerably less pain and I drove... not slow because I had trouble looking to the right as before but now I could turn my head to see traffic on my right!  Just this simple ability returned to me the previous confidence I had and I was able to drive normally!  I realized I now had most of my mobility back and how greatly it affects my situational awareness. I am grateful to be able to look up into a tree to see what bird is making that sound or be able to look someone in the eyes, not to mention the ability to look quickly to assess my surroundings. I'm a new gym owner, personal trainer and former pro athlete who's been banged up for years. A few months ago I slipped a disk and it completely put it on my butt for weeks. I saw an ad for Dr. Serafini for his spinal decompression stuff and I figured why not just give it a try. After three months of working with Doc...I can say with 100% honesty as a health and fitness professional, that he KNOWS WHAT THE HELL HE'S DOING! I started going to Dr Serafini's office around the end of April. I actually ended up there by mistake, as I was having severe low back pain and actually booked somewhere else, but ended up at Valley Spinal Care - Kierland, and they were able to accommodate me right when I walked in. I was at a total loss and in agony, and THAT SAME DAY they were able to get me in with the doctor for X-rays , evaluations and an adjustment, while also explaining a plan of care and recovery for me. I remembered saying to the doctor and his assistant Emmanuel (who is also absolutely amazing and helpful beyond belief) that my previous experiences with a spinal specialist and physical therapist, that they never physically touched my back (to feel for sensitivity, inflammation, etc). It was all "hands off". I'm new to back pain, so I never knew what to expect. They were so shocked! And they also do not push medication, which is such a relief. Dr Serafini communicates with you, listens, and crafts a plan that will work with you. I can tell you that since I have been going to Dr Serafinis office, my pain had decreased (big understatement), but I still feel like I have a way way to go to feel 100% again, but I know I am in good hands. The visits are working and I am so grateful. Additionally, they are also very upfront about insurance coverage and other options for payment if you do not have coverage. Their flexibility with this and also with appointment scheduling is a BIG plus for me, because my job can be unpredictable at times. I started going here after I met their pt who at the time would come to my place of business to work with me doing exercises. I have bad scoliosis and a degenerative neck. I could hardly turn my head from side to side prior to treatments. Dr. Serafini and Dr. Moslow have helped me tremendously. I've seen a few chiropractors over the years for various reasons, but it was typically a quick adjustment which helped for some relief but wasn't really a long term fix. That's not the case Dr. Serifini and how he practices chiropractic care along side of the physical therapy with Christian - it's been life changing. Originally I went in due to some lower back pain and really severe muscle tenderness. I thought I was going in for the typical quick fix adjustment. But I've gotten so much more! I had no idea I had some of the stiffness and immobility that was affecting my daily activities. And!! Dr. Serifini discovered that there was some compression in my neck and skull which may be one of the causes for the migraines and headaches I've been suffering from since I was a teenager. After only seeing him for a few weeks, I've had so much relief from my original symptom and gained so much more. My headaches are down to about one a week - instead of multiple times a week and I haven't had a migraine since I've been seeing them. I am so incredibly grateful for their care and for the education I've gained. Plus they were very flexible with a payment plan since he was out of network with my health insurance. My husband suddenly had intense pain on his left thigh while in California - out of desperation we yelped for a chiropractor n immediately made appt - my husband saw the chiropractor from San Marcos a few times while we were in California but pain got worse ! Then our friend recommended Vincent from Synergy ! He had several sessions w Vincent but the his pain continues ! Finally I googled Valley spine care - very happy to have found them ! My husband has yet to see Dr Chris but my daughter was lucky to secure an appointment to consult w dr Chris! I was under the impression and adjustments is a full adjustment. Whatever issues I was having you would try to resolve on my visit for the money I spent. Not one adjustment in one area of my body and that's it, then come back 2 times a week for 8 weeks at  $60every visit after. That is not good business practice at all. Completely dissatisfied and will not be recommending or using you guys again. Complete bait and switch. I spent 25 dollars at a chiropractor in my area in Mesa and he addressed every issue i was having the  next day of your so called adjustment that helped very little. they turned off the reviews on Google so you cannot post reviews that is why I am posting it here. Dr. Chris Serafini is amazing at what he has does with his knowledge and skills. What he does is simple but extremely effective. He analyzes and understands each person's individual situation completely before treatment. Eliminating going down the wrong path and wasting time/energy/cost and frustration. He educates each patience on health practices and works with you as a team for success. His staff is great including the physical therapist Brian. Valley Spinal Care has a small office environment gives you hands on attention all yet being extremely professional. You feel like the office is a small family & you are part of that family. I have been through a handful of chiropractors with seemingly success in some initial lower back nerve pain but correction of the vertebrae alignment (actual problem) not fixed. I have been through three (3) different chiropractors and over three (3) years of living with multiple lower back disk herniation's and living in constant pain. Dr. Chis Serafini is a master at restructuring the vertebrae back to structure with precise vertebrae adjustments. Being adjusted by several chiropractors previously I can say that he is very very good at vertebra adjustments. This is where I believe Dr. Serafini can help anyone with his is knowledge & ability to adjust correctly. I have heavily considered surgery & other drastic measures but decided to give chiropractic care one last try. Thankfully that chiropractor was Dr. Chris Serafini. I have to say I was very scared for my first experience with a Chiropractor. I pictured a Frankenstein man coming over and snapping my neck in half. Yes... that is where my brain went. I tried Chiropractic services 7 years ago. An x-ray of my spine appeared problematic and I was skeptical that someone as young as I was would need this kind of care. After ignoring the problem and enduring years of back pain I sought out Dr. Serafini for a 2nd opinion and was very pleased with how much education, information and genuine care he and his staff provided to me. The Dr. and staff make you feel like a priority and ask many questions to give the best results. This is not just about an adjustment. This is an objective review and based on my interactions with over 6 different staff members in addition to the interior environment I do not recommend this place. I had a referral from a co worker for another businesses and ended up here. They lied and said they knew someone that wasn't their patient, they told me they took insurance and refused to bill them and failed to mentioned the truth until I was leaving and they charged me. I called for me info and explained I was taking my business elsewhere and I was treated extremely poorly after I provided my feedback at their request. No ownership was taken and no apology. I had a terrible experience and was given misleading information provided and executed by Patti, with the front desk and Sherrie, the office manager. I've never written a bad review but this type of poor behavior cannot go undocumented. My entire experience with both ladies was very deceptive, unprofessional and straight disrespectful. I was given a $27 coupon to be seen for an exam, consultation and to have X-rays taken. Prior to going in to getting X-rays, I gave them my insurance card and asked if they take it. They said they would run it through once Dr. Serafini Iined up which plan I would need and how often they wanted to treat me, etc. After the first visit when my X-rays were taken, I was scheduling my next appointment which is when Patti mentioned that the $27 would cover my next visit. Three days later I went back for my second appointment to learn more about my results. After discussing the X-rays he said he was going to adjust me. I was under the impression that was part of the visit that Patti said I would not be charged for. Dr. Serafini's "adjustment" consisted of popping two areas on my back and that was it. (In past experiences, I've had my entire neck, back and hips adjusted). I wasn't pleased and inquired about the little adjustment I got. He explained he only likes to work on one area at a time. After the adjustment, I went to see Sherrie to make my next appointment. That's when she said I owed $60. I told Sherrie that I was told during my first visit, three days ago, by Patti, that I wouldn't owe anything for this visit. Sherrie immediately turned rude and said if I got treated ("adjusted") that I owe $60. On top of being told I wouldn't owe anything, they come up with a $60 fee out of nowhere. At that point I asked about where they stood with my insurance. Sherrie said they hadn't run it through yet and wouldn't until a "plan" was in place which would happen during the next visit. I brought up the point as to why I would ever pay $60 when my insurance covers Chiropractic care for $30. Sherrie then said "Okay, fine, pay us $30 then." I was stunned. Where are the ethics, guidelines, and standards in this business? They wanted $60 but then would suddenly drop it to $30? Not only was I told the visit would be taken care of by the $27 payment, but they never spoke of any kind of fee until they demanded the $60. Shortly after Dr. Serafini came out to speak with me. He said they're out of network and I would have had to pay my deductible prior to getting the copay price anyway--as if I didn't know how insurance works; a slap in the face. He said this without even checking my insurance. Why the out-of-network statement wasn't made earlier is beyond me. Regardless, it has nothing to do with insurance. It has everything to do with them giving out misleading information and not being honest with their patient. Plus, they didn't notify me about any kind of payment until they claimed it's too late because I had been "treated"- which was a joke to begin with. The doctor said he would "waive" the $60 fee, which is the least he could have done. I took my X-rays and left and I will never go back. I would not recommend this place. read more

I'm sure the spinal care here is helpful. They seem to know what they are doing. I will not be going back however, because of the underhanded way they do business. My one and only question when I called their office was, "Do you take my insurance". They said "Yes, we do" so I made an appointment. After several x-rays, a couple of adjustments and the beginning of some physical therapy, THEN they sit down with you and talk about your treatment plan, and the costs. That's when they said, "Oh, sorry, we don't take your insurance after all". It's an integrity issue with me, and I cannot overlook that. I will not be going back. read more

I went to Dr. Serafini for severe back pain. They were fast in getting me in, and definitely polite at the front desk. However, the techniques Dr. Serafini used were painful and led to more pain afterwards. I didn't expect 100% improvement, but I did expect something other than more pain. I was also concerned that after several visits, I still wasn't provided with any information from them (despite being told I would) about whether or not they were able to take my insurance plan. However, I was clearly told that I would be needing chiropractic care for the rest of my life. All the while I was thinking, "Can't we take this one step at a time." First, tell me specifically what you'll do for the problem that I'm currently dealing with. Provide me with the specifics of how much I'll be paying. And, then after that, we can talk about future plans. There was an odd vibe of fast talking that made me feel uncomfortable. When I called to politely cancel further appointments, I received a call back and was told that I didn't "understand" how chiropractic care works. Perhaps. But, what I do understand is that I was there to get better. I needed to know what the financial commitment would be, and that I have the right to discontinue treatment for any reason without being spoken to in a condescending tone. read more

I originally went to see Dr. Chris on recommendation from a personal trainer that I was working with. I was suffering from what can only be described as severe exhaustion. On top of working full time, I was also weight training and training in mixed martial arts. My exhaustion did not appear to be caused by the level of activity as when I eliminated workouts from my routine for a few weeks, the exhaustion actually got worse. After my initial consultation and a few visits, I began to feel my energy come back. Dr. Chris and his staff got things back on track for me. Now almost 2 years later I am training full time in mixed martial arts and I still make occasional visits to the office to keep myself in top shape. Without Dr. Chris and his staff I do not know how my health would be today, but I can assure you I would not be living or training and competing with the high level of health and energy that I do day in and day out. read more

I had been seeing Dr Chris for a few years. Not seeing any improvement, but I was told "it will come" . I purchased payment in advance "discounted pricing " plans throughout the years. However the final year my condition was worsening, but Dr Chris insisted he could "fix it" . I finally had my last adjustment July 2019. I remember him "adjusting" and it was so painful I screamed out. He said, "great, I got it that time ". I stopped going and went to see an Orthopedic, and eventually ended up with a Neurosurgeon who performed surgery. Here is how the neurosurgeon explained it, Chiropracters MOVE your spine, and every time they do they cause some damage. So to ask for the last pre paid 3 visits I had remaining on my pre paid contract I was told no, as I had received my treatments on a discounted rate, and he could not give me back my remaining balance. So he felt it was "Fair and justifiable" to keep my money. BEWARE. read more

MAYBE IT'S TIME TO SUE...................................................................................No response from phone calls or emails. Posting negative reviews did however get some attention from Serafini's attorney.Two letters to cease and desist. I was telling the truth and giving my opinion, so no basis for a lawsuit. I also told the attorney that I felt a judge and/or a jury would be shocked to see a $900.00 charge on the contract for triggerpoint instruction. The attorney did not want to embarrass himself or his law firm, so he said he would not be filing papers to bring on a lawsuit against me. I wonder if he dropped Serafini as a client (?) all together. I requested my medical records from Serafini (it took weeks to receive them and only after a call from my son-in-law) and I was shocked at the mistakes (or lies??) I found. The records didn't even have the correct cause of my injury. Another example was my third visit at VSC was billed to me AND to medicare. Isn't that what they call double dipping? There is so much more, I could go on and on. I don't care if I ever get my money back. I do however care that others (especially seniors) are being scammed. read more
