Don't even waste your time , this a property that doesn't care about the tenants at all, the previous manager that just left was good , when something was wrong she jump on it asap but now she's gone !! We just went an entire week without hot water very unacceptable I'm sure the office staff and corporate had hot water at home every night ! My ceiling still hasn't been fully repaired since hurricane beryl the rotten wood around my front room on the outside is literally deteriorating so bug can come in whenever they want I'm not renewing my lease cause this stay has been a nightmare read more

I went to go apartment shopping today and Deerbrook Garden was one of the properties I viewed. The office staff was very welcoming and the office was cool! They have blue walls with blue accent through out the office which is nice. They have a tv in the office that showed their events and I was pleased with their community involvement. They also showed me a center called VLC- Virtual Leasing Center, the gentleman explained to me that I could do 3D tours and I WAS AMAZED!!! We seen the apartments without actually viewing them. We went over pricing and they were ideal. What really got me was the free washer and dryers in the apartments. The grounds were clean and the community seemed quiet. I do plan on applying here as soon as I get paid. I was impressed with my visit. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Since I moved into these apartments I have been having ongoing issues. The main issue for me has been the roach issues I've told the front office about the roach issue multiple times since I've been living here and all they do is send pest control to spray! So now I've requested for a roach clean out because they spray that pest control does is not doing anyone , I'm now being told my the front office manage that I would have to pay 55.00 for a roach clean out. The front office staff can not explain to my why I am responsible for paying the fee nor can they show me where in my lease agreement does it say I am responsible for that type of charge. The apartment itself is roach infested everyone is this building and other buildings are having the same issue with roaches! I've told the front office staff many times that this is unsanitary and this apartment is inhabitable. Due to their roach infested units it should be the apartment management who should be responsible for mediating the issue and getting the roaches out at their expense. We should not be responsible for any charges to have someone clean out the apartment when they have an agreement with pest control that they would pay for the roach clean out as needed and it doesn't show anywhere in there contact agreement with pest control that they tenant would be responsible for the clean out. So at this point I need a resolution to this issues either I need the be removed from these unsanitary living conditions or I need to apartment management to help mediate the issues that poses a health hazard to me and my family. read more

We've lived here for a few years now because it was less hassle than moving, but we've gradually come to hate it here. The apartment is full of roaches, even after multiple treatments. There's a mysterious wet spot in the carpet by the bathroom that doesn't go away, and maintenance keeps telling us there's no leak. Paying rent is often an undertaking lasting several hours. The wood under the kitchen cabinets is falling apart, and when our bedroom window was damaged after Harvey, it went ignored for months. I finally had to leave a public review on their Facebook page to get corporate's attention, after which the property manager (Aaron at the time) came to our apartment to tell us that he wouldn't be sticking his neck out for us anymore because we had thrown him under the bus. Totally unprofessional, and I wouldn't have done it if he had done his job in the first place. read more

Everything was great when Aaron was the property manager. Now it's hard to get in contact with anyone in the office any time of any day, you're always told that you will get a call back and never receive one. But when it has anything to do with them getting some extra money out of you, they will finally call you. Start getting charged random fees especially in the ending months of your lease after you. Takes forever for maintenance to come out and get a problem fixed. The last two weeks of living at our apartment, we could not use the oven. Took us to leave 3 maintenance requests, call multiple times(no help, just made another maintenance request), and emailing them (with no response), till they finally came out days later, and still no part was put in and fixed by the time we left. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone with the new management as of late June/July 2019. read more

I just moved in about 2 weeks ago and I am very pleased with the customer service I have received from the staff. They showed us all the amenities which is a big reason why my family and I chose to move here. The have a fitness center that I have used almost every day since I have been here, my wife daughter and I have went to the pool quite a few times and not to mention we have washer and dryers in the apartment! Maintenance has been great and helpful, I made a work order about a week ago and they came within about 2 hours. The office staff Manager and Assistant have been more than respectful and helpful to my family and I during our move to Houston. There are a lot of restaurants and attractions in this area, minutes away from the property. Very pleased with our decision. read more

I've been a resident here for about 2 months now, and I've gotten a pretty good feel for the place. The location itself is great, you're right on the 1960 and can get anywhere within a few minutes time. The staff is really helpful; and as far as letting residents know about going-ons, they're quick to send emails to keep us in the know. They have a built in dog park that's actually pretty spacious, a nice size pool, and workout facility. All in all it's a pretty good place to live, and it's the cheapest as far as rent goes, and they give you a lot in your unit. I'd say I'm very happy here so far! read more

One word:roaches. Also; we moved out early and they stated they would call us when the water bill came in and they never did "because harvey affect them as well". So our $10 water bill ended up being $200 because of late fees on a bill we never received or got informed of. I went to go speak with them (aaron) and he said he would call us to let us know when management let them know if we could waive the late fees. Well we never got a call and they just sent our debt to collects. read more

There's never enough parking and it's at least 10 stray cats that live on the property that I've caught several tenants feeding. I've submitted multiple work orders since I moved in Feb. 2017 and they either patch the problem or not fix it at all. (Part 1) First apartment. I hear management was better before Rockstar Capital took it, but they are pretty flexible if you need some extra time on rent. The trees seriously help save on the electric bill. Lots of shade. Also love the variety of mulberry, muscadine grape vines, and even a mimosa tree in the back. Yeah this place was built in the 80s and I've run around the whole complex during my exercises and you can tell. Like most places, things are patched, not repaired. Make sure you tour the actual unit beforehand. We did get a new AC unit at the start of this year's record heat wave (we have a south-facing apartment with three large windows and no tree shade so it's the worst for the AC) and it's running much better. We keep it at 68 at night and it can get up to 73 during the summer day maybe. Not the worst. I love the stray cats and there's two litters of kittens running around right now. I'd rather have them than rodents. The dumpster trash does build up but I hardly notice. Being forced to pay $25 for valet trash is ridiculous when I would rather not pay and take the trash myself. That's on top of a $20 trash fee. Two buildings have water just free dripping from the external spout. Water bill is determined by building usage divided by people (I think?). So 3 people are paying about $70-80, 2 would be about $50. Pet rent is reasonable $25. 2bd2bth's have the most spacious bedroom size I've seen shopping anywhere! 12x15! Roaches. Are. Horrible. They can send someone out but they won't go away long term. After attempting my own bait and poison method, at some point I gave up and just kill them on sight. German roaches in building 7 (also where their show room is). They breed in the walls unlike those big tree roaches outside fyi. They'll keep coming back unless you request pest control service every two weeks. Despite being next to 1960 it is super quiet for sleeping. Being an older building it supposedly has fire walls and that limits noise from neighbors. And yeah super good location! Pool is nice to have year round. Lately keeping up with cleaning it hasn't been great. read more

I recently signed a lease at Deerbrook Garden apartments at 1230 FM 1960 Bypass Rd East, Humble, TX 77338. Here are a few of the problems I found that the property manager (Melissa) said were "acceptable for move-in": Cockroach infestation: There were 40+ dead cockroaches in the kitchen drawer and in the first 2 hours we killed 15-20 live ones. Toilet leaking through kitchen ceiling: When flushing the toilet, the water leaks down through the kitchen ceiling. Pin lock on sliding door broken: Obviously this is a security issue since the state of Texas requires this and is grounds for terminating the lease. Black mold found in toilet and washer/dryer area: This is a serious health issue and triggered an allergic reaction for my girlfriend. Among other problems the sink is broken and rusted out, the shower head is broken, there are small piles of dirt in some of the cupboards, there were bones of some kind found in the bathroom, and there were also cockroaches found within the dryer. These are managed by Rockstar Capital Management so stay away from anything from them!! read more

I lived here for 6 months. The manager, Sylvia is wonderful. My apartment was adorable and very homie. I know there are complaints on yelp about this place but honestly, everything was great. I never saw a bug of any sort, many cats perhaps but cats keep the mice away right!? Parking was great and it's in a great location between the mall on the left and the town of Atascosita to the right. Close to all the shopping you could dream do and just about any restaurant you could crave.its tucked back away from the highway and I always felt safe there. I highly recommend taking a tour to see if it's a good match.they also have movie nights in the summer. You can swim in the pool and watch a movie with your neighbors. Halloween bar-b-que, and holiday gatherings to meet your neighbors.they try really hard to get everyone introduced. It really is a great place. read more

you would be a fool to move here. i was very foolish when i moved here in july 2016 and now i am stuck here until next july. from july until now. i have submitted a total of 15 work orders because everything in my overpriced, raggedy apartment broke down. i am in the smallest 1 bedroom and have to pay 850.00 because my credit score was 2 points lower to qualify for the regular amount of rent. its one thing after another. i have had to deal with dead bugs in the fridge that kept coming from somewhere maybe a hole. i would clean the fridge and they would reappear and die from the cold it took them 2 weeks to replace .. i am still dealing with roaches their pest control doesnt work i even had to leave my apartment 4 two days for them to bomb my apartment and put some type of liquid down to get rid of roaches and that also hasn't helped.. water in my closet from a busted pipe.. had to get my washer/dryer replaced 2 times. they didnt clean ,my carpet when i first moved in it still has brown spots... and now the most recent issue as of today is day 2 of no hot water i have a 2 month old baby that has to be in this trash. they have fixed some of my issues but thats only because i had to stay on them constantly. the manager clara is nice and she tries to help. that aaron guy he dont really care about your issues. i called angry and told him i was thinking about moving and paying the reletting fee because i was tired of calling to get things fixed. the only thing that fool told me was "well let me know when" he didnt even attempt to ask why.. uggh.. im flying the hell out of here... if you smart you will stay far away. these apartments are not worth the price you pay.. trifling neighbor's throw their trash over the balcony right in front of my patio. i just absolutely hate it here. if i could i would break my lease read more
