But we finally completed the move last week and I have nothing but high praise for this community. The physical property is beautiful and it was great for my parents to be able to have choices in flooring, cabinetry, countertops (granite is standard!) etc. Really anything. Special accolades to Sarah and Colleen who were so very kind and helpful every step of the way. During the move-in they would magically appear just as we thought of something we needed or had a question to ask. As an out-of-town daughter, Sarah, Colleen and the whole crew at Ardenwoods gave me a level of comfort I didn't think was possible. This is a fabulous place with wonderful people

This was truly one of the best meals I have had in Asheville! First, there was a wonderfully-fresh salad, with a selection of dressings. Next, I had the Minestrone soup - also wonderful, with very fresh vegetables. My entree was the southern fried catfish - the very best catfish I've ever had!! I had heard that there was a very talented Executive Chef at Julian Woods, and let me say that the reports about Chef Blake and his team are not exaggerated! And, by the way, Julian Woods is just beautiful!!!

Silverbell Homestead was the third assisted living facility in a year and a half that we moved our…read moremom in to. After terrible experiences at other facilities, Silverbell Homestead was recommended by one of her doctors. When we moved her to Silverbell we felt we finally found the perfect place for her. She was "home". The staff is amazing. We cannot say enough about the compassion, care and love they showed our mother especially in her last days. They treated her with respect. A special thanks to Sonya, Micah and Chris who are angels in our eyes. The owner and her whole staff truly care about the residents. The food was always good and prepared by a talented chef. The small number of residents makes for an intimate setting. If you are looking for an assisted living facility in the Asheville area that will truly take care of your loved one, Silverbell Homestead would always be my number one recommendation.
