You didn't say NOT to put him with them."…read more This is what I was told by the owner after she returned my 12 year old dog with a bite on his ear sustained during rough play with a dog larger than him. I specifically told the intake person on the phone not to put my dog with larger dogs. I stated that he didn't like bigger dogs under the section entitled "Fears". It was not entitled "Fears that should be challenged so he can grow." We were not notified of that he was injured, and we were only told after we paid. The owner argued and defended her behavior by saying she didn't know I did not want him with larger dogs because I only wrote that he didn't like other dogs. There is no circumstance where it is okay if someone does something that they know you don't like and then defends it by saying "Well, you didn't say NOT to do it". For example, "You didn't say NOT to let my dog poop on your lawn, you just said you didn't like it." Or "You didn't say NOT to eat your cat, you just said you wouldn't like it if I did." This is stupid. We are not living in a Monty Python sketch, The kennel owner believes she knows better than the dog owner, and because of her arrogance, my dog got bit. Now off to the vet we go, and we all know vet bills are such fun.

If you treat a client like this you are not capable of providing the care level I desire for my German shorthair pointer.
