I returned to C & H Lanes tonight for the first time in at least 12 years. It was brand new and…read morethe same old place all at the same time. There is a reason this place has been thriving for more years than I've been alive. This trip I brought along my husband and our two children and we had the BEST time. The care and compassion these people gave us without knowing us from Adam is just what true successful business owners do. We decided to give them a shot following what was one of the worst experiences of our lives at 'that other bowling alley in town' earlier today and they made us forget all about it without even knowing how bad we were feeling. It speaks for itself. These people deserve ALL the business and luck and longevity in business. We can't wait to take our kids back to see them again.

Very nice, friendly staff! Had a really hard, dry,, dead breadstick, and she refunded our $$. Went…read moreto relax and unwind w family, chose to eat there as well. Ham and cheese sandwich was FINE, better than most restaurants. Spicy cheese curds not spicy but still good. French fries of the crinkle type-yay! Restrooms are dated but exceptionally clean, again, better than most restaurants. Alleys worked well and nice selection of different weight balls. Definately best place in D-town to bowl-- and nice food!

Combat Ops is amazing! I wish it was closer to Indianapolis, so we could visit more often. Alas, it…read morewill have to be our special place that we go to when we're up in Fort Wayne. My two young children had a blast. We probably could have stayed here for hours, but we only dropped by for an hour and a half. But we packed a lot in during that time. Combat Ops has a huge laser tag arena, an area to have Nerf battles, a laser maze, miniature golf, miniature bowling, outdoor axe throwing, an arcade, and an eatery area with local beer. It's basically the perfect place to bring your kids and relax while they play (or join in the fun -- whatever you want to do). I would say that most of the games and entertainment is geared toward older kids and teens (and adults). For instance, my younger child wasn't able to do the laser tag because the guns were a bit heavy for his little arms. But that was pretty much the only thing, other than axe throwing, that he couldn't do. Younger kids would love the miniature bowling, because the balls are small and can fit in a little hand. The miniature golf was also a favorite because what little kid doesn't like putt-putt golf?! My personal favorite was the Nerf arena. We booked a half hour, and they make you watch a safety video, then tell you the rules, and then have you put on safety glasses and let you pick out a Nerf weapon. There is always someone walking around to make sure everyone is playing safely. As a mom who worries about everything, I appreciated all of the extra steps Combat Ops takes to make sure everyone is safe! They aren't obtrusive about it -- just insistent, which I like. The person monitoring our session suggested some games that we could play, which made the experience even more fun. We had a great time playing capture the flag and freeze tag with our Nerf guns. Another favorite of ours was the laser maze. You step into a foggy room, and try to get from one side to the other without tripping the lasers. I think we did the laser maze at least six times! It was a lot of fun. My kids didn't want to leave this place when it was time to go, and they're already talking about how they want to come back for their birthday. Combat Ops really is a super fun place for families, and my family can't wait to go back.
