They said they were going to eat their breakfast and start on my car, so I went inside. They asked me to come out and started talking about all of the extra charges involved. The charges were not discussed in the walk around. In fact, an area that I was told would not be a problem, was a HUGE problem all of a sudden, once the second guy was involved. I budgeted for extra charges, because I have a dog and it has been a while since my car has been detailed. However, we do not eat in the car, dont smoke, and because of my son being in a wheelchair, we are never in muddy or extremely dirty areas (can't get a wheelchair in those places). I have CERTAINLY seen much worse cars in videos and even the reviews for AMD. I ended up being worried that the charges were going to be exorbitant, with no end. The second guy there seemed to really want to stick it to me. I had no choice but to cancel the service, considering that I felt they would keep tacking extra charges on for small things, since they were already exaggerating the job. From the reviews, it seems that they do a good job for a fair price, if your car is clean already.

Precision Automotive Service has earned my business with all my vehicles permanently!!! During a…read moreroutine oil change, I was told by a "big box" automotive establishment that I needed a new wheel bearing on my vehicle along with a new tie rod, which would then mean the car would also need aligned. The quote was nearly $1,000. They also told me I needed a completely new exhaust... $$$! So, only living here in the Madison area a short time and not really knowing many people, I decided to see who else was around. I sent ten yelp requests for an estimate to local auto shops looking to get only the wheel bearing replaced on my car. I received five responses within a few days. Two told me cost with labor would be $500-$650 and two said they really "needed" to get my car in their shops and "up on a lift" to give me a price. The fifth response was Chris from Precision Automotive. Chris responded right away within a few hours, and a full day before the others, with a detailed estimate of the repair which would get me out the door for almost half what the other two quoted me! So, there's no doubt where I chose. Upon leaving my car, I asked Chris to take a look at my tie rods and my exhaust. Not only did Precision live up to their quote, they told me that my tie rod was completely fine and did not need replaced and that an alignment was not necessary, only misdiagnosed due to the bearing being bad and the inexperience of proper diagnosis. Chris also told me that I didn't need a complete exhaust replacement, only that the pipe before my muffler had a hole in it and that was all that needed replaced and could be done for a tiny fraction of what I was quoted. So, not only did Precision get me out the door for nearly half the next best quote, they saved me from three unnecessary repairs! And not only did they do that, they got me to work (twenty minutes away) and back by lunch with the repair completed and my car ready to go! Before I drove away, I asked for a quote on a new front control arm needed for my mini-van and Chris, without hesitation, quoted me half what I was told at another locally owned auto shop! As I drove away, I noticed that my car wasn't making any grinding noises, the steering wheel wasn't vibrating and had no additional play, and my car wasn't pulling to the side when I broke! My car drove perfectly again. Precision went above and beyond, not only with pricing and a sound repair, but with customer service and honesty. They have earned my business and my loyalty. Moral of the story... I won't take my cars anywhere else again, and I absolutely and very highly recommend them for any service you need on yours!

When asking why they didn't vacuum along side of the seats I was told they don't have a crevice tool and I would need to purchase the full detail service.
