What a fun afternoon activity and SO COOL to see that this is quite literally where some of the blueberries we eat in grocery stores come from! We came for the u-pick experience and it was a blast, especially with kids aged 2,4,5, and 8. On top of that, the price was super reasonable at $7 for the small bucket, which you get to keep. Most interesting part of this experience was the fact they grow 4 different varieties of blueberries here, each with their own unique flavor profile! It was so fun to walk the rows of bushes picking and tasting the differences. The most unique were those growing in the rows at the back left of the sales shed. They had an incredible sweetness that made me say "wow that's what a real blueberry tastes like!" The staff offered a great explanation and we filled up the buckets and enjoyed blueberries everyday during our stay. We also checked out the store across the street and found it filled with lots of blueberry products. Salsas, bbq sauce, jams, jellies, cookies, pies, cakes, and of course, ice cream! They have several blueberry flavors made just for them by a local creamery, and the ice cream is great. This is definitely worth a stop! read more

07/19/26 - We use to come here every year to pick & replenish our blueberries but there has been a lapse. We decided to make the 2 1/2 hr journey to South Haven MI w/da wife, my 2 brother in laws & my sister in law. When you get old this is our big adventure. We both picked about 10lbs of blueberries, but it wasn't as fun as it used to be to be. Maybe next time I'll just get a 10lb box of blueberries and not spend the time picking them. Awesome Blueberry farm I stopped by on a roadtrip around the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. The set up from the street is a huge draw and luckily I stopped by on a weekday, I cannot imagine the traffic this place sees on a weekend. There is a really nice picnic seating area out front to enjoy your treats with your favorites folks. A very aesthetically please, peaceful worming farm with fun for the kids and adults alike. They offer freshly picked blueberries and take out items such as jams, jellies, salsas, sweets, pastries, blueberries by the jar or box, and more. Plenty of take out gifts to choose from. THE very freshest blueberries you will find on the road. The coffee is the very best I had on the entire trip around the lake from Chicago north and back south. My buddy couldn't stop raving about the coffee the entire trip and he's the kind of guy who will drive up from Chicago just to grab a cup or two. All in all a great stop for multiple sweet reasons. As a fellow local, this is the WORST ice cream place around here. The service was RUDE and half of the ice cream flavors they advertise, they don't actually have. So beware if you have your heart set on a flavor, they probably don't have it. Wanted butter pecan after asking for the banana pudding (which was on their menu but didn't have) and the lady said since there was barely any in the tub I couldn't get any, you'd think if you're that low go in the back and swap out the tubs? I've worked in ice cream shops around here and that's common sense. Won't be back that's for sure, ended up walking out and going to st joe for ice cream. The blueberry waffle crisp ice cream is really good. It's creamy and not too sweet. You can def taste the blueberry in the ice cream. The waffle crisp bits give a nice crunch in the ice cream and a slight more of sweetness. You can also go blueberry picking and pay per pound. We got the sale price bc it was toward the end of the season. Since it was end of the season, there were slim pickings. We got most of our blueberries on top of the bushes. read more

We've previously picked at larger farms in Indiana, but DeGrandchamp's blueberries were bigger and there were multiple varieties (who knew?) to choose from. There were only a few other families picking, so we had lots of room to find our perfect berries. There's a very nice building where you can buy pre-picked berries in different sized boxes, along with ice cream and treats. You can also peep through windowed doors to see the berries being packed for sale. It's an A+ experience with U-pick prices at $2/pound. read more

Great spot for a low key blueberry picking experience. No frills, but easy chess to pick blueberries and very friendly staff. Be prepared for sun and possibly some bugs (none of which will bother you, but you might want bug spray). We had a great time investigating the rows of blueberries and finding the perfect fruit. Some great looking berries were too far out of reach but part of the fun was in the search. The little shop has all sorts of yummy treats as well with some other fruit/veggie options for purchase. We had so much fun at DeGrandchamps the day we went over to see the Cranberry harvest on October 12th. I was very interested to see how the berries grew and were harvested and of course, it was the first REALLY cold windy day of fall despite the sunshine so it was a little chilly on the wagon ride we took back to see the bogs. Back in the bogs we were able to walk around and see the harvest in different stages while one of the crew chiefs explained the process to us. Then we took the wagon back to the main building/store afterward to see the packing process and get warm! The store offers a lot of blueberry and cranberry related products as well as boxes of fresh cranberries and potentially frozen blueberries if still available. I was able to get boxes of both. They only do the Cranberry Harvest once a year in October, so do not miss this next year! read more

Did the cranberry harvest tour. Waste of time! Long line, followed by a trolley ride, to a field that was soggy but no action. So boring!!!! Alright.. been going to this place since 2004.. picking blueberries and stopping in the shop. Always used to love it until recently. Picked blueberries yesterday and the workers in the booth were so rude... straight faced, with attitude and visual annoyance with the fact that they had to do their job! The worker looked at my mom pulling out the $50 to pay and just says with a straight face "you don't have any smaller bills?" Not "can you please see if you have anything smaller?" "Or i don't think we can break that can you give it another looks!" I don't expect the world but these women were just rude and made the childish joy of blueberry picking feel weird and as if we were unwanted! This place is supposed to draw people with their small farm locally owned vibes... can't do that with crabby employees that don't care about the face of the company! read more

I normally pick up berries at the farm and had great success. Berries were fresh, firm, and tasty. Because we could not get to South Haven this summer, I ordered berries. Disappointing. Twenty-five percent had to be discarded, berries were wet, most were soft instead of being firm. I do not recommend ordering. read more

No visit to South Haven is complete if you don't pick blueberries! Grab a bucket and pick as few, or as many as you like. They charge by the pound, and it is very inexpensive.
