    Well typically I do not write reviews, but unfortunately this time I feel that I must. I was in…read moreneed of event insurance for a charity event that we were putting together. This insurance agency came highly recommended from others that have used them for similar purposes. I started the insurance process 3 months prior to the event to makes sure we were covered. The policy was finally completed at 5pm the night before. Phone calls and return phone calls were far in between thru the whole process. The price quoted was very low to start, which was good and what we were looking for, but then increased slightly to bind. Ok no big deal. I made the payment, but didn't see the policy come thru like they said it would. Well, one week prior to the event I get a phone call that the price is now double, like if it was no big deal (tone of the agents voice) ! What the heck ! I was told that the insurance company that was to be used no longer covers this type of event. Only to find out after my money was take ? So I asked for them to figure out why, find another insurance company and to see how this cost can be reduced. In the mean time I would look myself. When I came back to them to check status and suggest another approach, the price then went up again and that this was the best that they could do. At this point I was stuck as the event was the next day. I finally receive an email, not with the policy yet but a thread of emails that indicated no one had seen any of the applications I submitted and other staff were not aware of the event which left me with the thought that I may not have the insurance needed. It did finally come thru but not until almost 5pm the day before the event, which did not leave me much time to review the policy to confirm that it was acceptable. I did receive a phone call after I received the policy from the owner of the agency apologizing. He said that he was not aware of the situation until the end. At this point it was too late for anything else to be done. Unfortunately this very much feels like bait and switch. The communication was poor. The timing was poor. Understanding of the type of policy and pricing was not know with the agency when quoted. Each time the price increased a new reason was given and in the end I still don't have a good feeling as to why, other than the multiple reasons given, nothing solid. Like I said I typically don't write reviews and truly hate to write this one but feel its necessary. I hope that anyone else who has to deal with this agency has a much better experience.

My wife was hit from behind and the car was only a year old. After being directed to a repair shop near our home; the vehicle was repaired. The premiums increased tremendously. The writing was on the wall, we left State Farm. 4 years later, the back hatch was damaged accidentally, brought to a different repair shop and they noticed yellow grease pencil marks indicating damage that was mentioned to be repaired. This was covered up by the rear carpet and unseen until now. Had to contact State Farm; as the repair company was bought out. The current company, Wren's, said they were not doing warrantee for the bought out repair shop, Brian's. Due to State Farm's repair policy, I contacted them. They said they would 'research' the issue. Came back to tell me it was not one of their 'select service shops' and warranty work would not be covered. This is NOT warrantee work, rather incomplete work that was paid for but not done. Their final work from a 'claims specialist', Christy; "The work that was done was from a non-select service shop. State Farm has no obligation to warranty and repair the 4 year old damage." State Farm directed me to this repair shop due to being close to my house. The first estimate was for $6K worth of damage and ended up paying out more than $15K of damage. Which was never completed. Now, they do not want to complete this work. Typical big company searching for some way to not complete what they directed to have corrected. If I could select no stars in this review; I would have!
