I went to Dejays to replace the stainless steel grill for my Weber grill they had it and happily grabbed it for me. I was reminded of the hundred times I have gone there. In the 80's I bought an old house in Beverly that once was a great house that fell into disrepair because of the clowns that lived there. I actually bought it from the bank. I remodeled everything doing most of the work ourselves (except plumbing). The ACE people had everything I needed and great advice. Home Depot? I wandered around a couple times and left. Try ACE. The staff here are excellent. Everytime I walk into this store, an employee greats me right away and asks how they can help. That is a huge time saver and I'm out in 5 minutes with what I need. Special thanks to Kevin and to Chris. They are excellent -- polite, professional, and very knowledgeable. You could go to a big box store to save a few pennies, sure, but time is money too and the wait time for service at the big box stores? Good luck. I will probably not be back to this location. They are overpriced on products in comparison to other ace hardwares and the prices advertised online. I came for a mop today that was 7.00 higher than the online price and the other locations in the area. Only option I had to dispute the price was to come back during the managers working hours. read more

There are better hardware stores. Before going to DJs I called to find out how long would it take to get a key made. I was told one minute. Well, I wanted three keys made, so how did it take 15 minutes? ... and I was only able to get TWO of the keys made. They couldn't make the third and suggested I go to Mogan Locksmith. Yes, that's where I should have gone for ALL of the keys. I also asked what to use to lubricate a lock. The older guy asked the high schooler to show me the lock-eeze. Sounds good, except the kid never came back. When I asked where he went, the older guy said 'maybe he's helping a customer.' Funny, I thought I was a CUSTOMER. The older guy offered to show me the product, but I told him not to bother. As I said, there are better hardware stores. Next time I'll go to Morgan for my lock needs and True Value in Mount Greenwood for the everything else. read more

Small, friendly neighborhood store. Every time I go in there, someone approaches me and asks if I need help. I especially like the teamwork I see among the employees. If one person doesn't know/have the answer, they'll ask someone else who does. Never had bad service here. Ok, so the store is small and cramped but they get 5 stars for their service. The staff here is so friendly and helpful. They actually spent half an hour with me to find a very specific size bolt; half an hour to help me spend about 50 cents in their store. Go there for the helpful, friendly staff, if they don't have what you need, have them order it. read more

Place is great, limited inventory but the staff is great. You will not be able to walk 15 feet in the store with out the staff asking to help you with what you are looking for like most Ace hardware stores. read more

Went in and asked the guy in the back to cut a very small wooden pole would have taken 30 seconds told me no they were too busy then when he saw I was upset told me to leave it there and come back in an hour told him no thanks and told him I'll go somewhere else and I also left the stain and paint brush I was going to buy just bad customer service read more

Literally the nicest customer service I've ever encountered. I'm painting my whole house and came in with about a dozen paint names. They mixed up samples while I shopped- everything was easy to find, or they helped me- and even carried my paint out to my car. Will definitely come back here!!
