What's the perfect gift for a man turning 50 who has everything he could need or want? Boudoir pics, of course! I found Andrea here on yelp, and with all of the excellent reviews, I decided to give her a try. The entire experience was amazing, start to finish. She arrived at our house exactly on time, helped me pick out which outfits would work, and was very creative with the use of our space. We took pictures both indoors and outdoors. I'm sure many women are a bit nervous going into this like I was, but Andrea did a great job of making me feel at ease and confident. I had a blast! The best thing of all was that Andrea was under a bit of a time pressure because we did our shoot slightly less than two weeks before the big event. She quotes 2-3 weeks turnaround, but she worked hard and had the finished product in my hands on time. I really appreciated her desire to accommodate me. End result? A very happy birthday boy. "OMG is that really me? Damn I am hot" That is what you will say once you have seen Andreas work. Everyone is a little self conscious of the way they look, but I can say that taking the BOUDOIR pictures actually will make your head a little bigger. You see yourself everyday as the "average" you. But with a little makeup, a cute outfit and a great photographer you go from average to "OMG is that really me?" Here is how my shoot went: The morning of the shoot I had my makeup done at MAC.... it was my treat to myself. Then I headed over to the hotel and met Andrea. I brought a couple pairs of shoes, a cute outfit and my husbands gi. He is an MMA fighter and I wanted to add a special touch so I wore his gi and a really pretty lace bra. Andrea was very sweet, she understood the issues that I have. I am sure she heard me tell her 500 times "don't get my fat side" We took pics using all the props of the room and her own special touches as well. She showed me the pics as we were going along it helped ease my stress and it allowed me to loosen up a little. The shoot ended and that evening she sent me some preview pics....wow was I surprised, I looked HOT The most honest thing I can say about a Boudoir shoot is " don't just do it for your hubby, boyfriend, lover etc... do it for YOU. It was a beautiful Southern California, December morning. The Manhattan Beach strand was teaming with locals and tourists. Driving in from the San Fernando Valley our family could be grouped somewhere in the middle. Instead of wearing their swim suits our kids had on their holiday best. This day they were going to have a special photo shoot with the man himself. They'd been talking about it all week leading up to our meeting. We walked from the parking lot a very short distance to the sand. The kids were yelling as they 1st got a glimpse of the man in the big Red Suit. There he was, much taller than I imagined, and the beard of his chin WAS as white as the snow. Our 7 year old went right up and introduced himself as our much quieter 4 year old stayed behind. Mark DeJohn introduced everyone and with a wink of his eye and a twist of his head the shoot was underway. The kids had so much fun as they each got time alone with Santa, not only to take pictures but also to go over their Christmas wish lists. Mark was so professional and works great with kids. We had so many quality pictures that were sent to us on a CD we had a hard time choosing which to have printed and which to use for our Christmas cards. The whole experience was unforgettable for our kids and they want to do it again this Christmas. All I have to say is AMAZING!! The whole experience was incredible. We decided to use my uncles house since it is beautiful. I brought so many outfits, as I really didn't know what was going to work best. Andrea and I choose the best ones. I was totally nervous even though I previously knew Andrea. We started off just getting comfortable with the camera around. But within a few minutes of her guiding me, I was totally into it. She made me feel so beautiful and comfortable. She even showed me some of the photos on the camera during the photo shoot. When I picked up my book, I couldn't believe that was me in those photos. The lighting was perfect. The way that she captured me was fantastic. There was not one photo that I did not like or would not be comfortable showing anyone. I am so going to do this again in the near future. Just for me! They were the best photos I have ever taken and I am proud to show them off! I would highly recommend ANYONE doing this. Even if it's just for themselves. I just opened a yelp account but I've been meaning to review this business. Mark is awesome! He did engagement photos for me. As I proposed to my wife at Shoreline Village in downtown LB, Mark hid and caught the whole event on camera. What great pictures! Mark also did an excellent job on our wedding photos. Took almost 1000 pictures and put them on a disc for us. He captured so many moments and hidden gems throughout the venue and the night that we wouldn't have otherwise noticed or captured.
