It was a horrible ride very oncofterble it was also very sketchy and not a certified taxi.

Taxi reeks of tobacco and body odor extremely bad. So bad that when I got out of the taxi the smell was still stuck in my clothes. This is my 5th time riding in an awful smelling taxi. Hygiene needs to be addressed with this company and their employees. Also the guy that sits at the base is extremely rude when you're trying to explain to him about something he's wrong about. I missed an extremely important appointment because he wouldn't update the system to see where I have to go and wouldn't do anything about it. I called MAS (I also work for MAS) to speak to a supervisor and he argued with her telling her that he doesn't care and that my appointment doesn't have anything to do with him and refused to give me transportation to my appointment. read more

The dispatcher Steve is a real piece of work, I was over charged tonight to go a mile and a half down the road, they charged me $12 to go from Stapleton to tompkinsville, yet they charge me $23 to go from st george to oakwood. I told dispatch that it is absurd and he hung up on me even when I said I don't care what the cost is I just want to get to where I have to go. The drivers are all wonderful, but the dispatcher is a garbage human. I'll be letting the better business bureau about their price gauging and terrible ways. I've been a customer for 15 years and always take good care of the drivers, I'm not about to get taken advantage of by som butt head that hates his life and takes it out on everyone else. read more

The dispatcher with an Albanian accent is a hazard to this business I order a cab and it comes late and doesn't even pull into the driveway Then I call to ask the dispatcher to ask the driver if he can pull up closer to my building and the dispatcher says "don't come down fucking guy" Not only that but when I called back and spoke to the other dispatcher he said we got no cabs I mentioned that I would complain and he said "go ahead" and continued to curse then hung up I've had several incidents like this with this company and this is the first time I complained (I probably should have sooner) It doesn't seem like there's any level of professionalism in any of the dispatchers in this company and absolutely no interest in resolution I'd rate this car company "0" stars if it were possible read more

My family has a long standing history with DeJoys as customers. But the weekend dispatcher Abraham was rude and very unprofessional. We called for a cab to the ferry timely. When it was time for the cab to arrive a automated machine called to alert us. Less than 2 minutes when we are walking down the porch steps the driver is speeding away. We called DeJoys back. The dispatcher Abraham begins a verbal altercation with me stating that he called and not a automated machine and no one answered so he told him to leave. I said the cab alert came at 8:15 and was canceled at 8:15 it didn't even allow us 5 minutes to get downstairs. After he continues to be combative he agrees to send a cab back in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later there is no cab so we place a secondary request into the app. Five minutes later the dispatcher calls back and begins arguing with my father after he again explained what happened. The dispatcher continued to be belligerent so my Dad said he would call on Monday to speak to the main staff. I get into the cab and Abraham the dispatcher is yelling over the com system that the driver should leave me!! The driver says I'm already in the cab. The dispatcher Abraham goes into a tirade that he's never picking anyone up from this address. And we placed too many requests. He went on for a good five minutes. The driver was apologetic and just told me to not listen to him. I was very disappointed and disgusted at the quality of service that was being offered. Especially considering my family takes cabs multiple times daily with DeJoys. This definitely makes me want to take our business elsewhere. If that's the kind of people that work for this company I can't see it remaining in business for much longer. I was embarrassed for the driver and appalled by the dispatcher. This is horrible service. Unfortunately it seems like the quality of service consistently diminishes on the weekends. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I've been using Dejoys for years before dispatcher Steven started. Ever since he started working the mornings, my life has become quite the nightmare. One time I scheduled a car for 5AM to the airport which means that they are getting easily $80 from me and five minutes before it was 5 o'clock, I called and asked if the Cab could wait for me for five minutes because I just had to gather a few last-minute things. after I asked for five extra minutes, the dispatcher, Steven started screaming at me and told me "no the cab can't wait! it's ridiculous. I'm limited on cars" like it's my fault they don't have enough drivers. he started cursing at me and being extremely unprofessional so bad to the point that I started to cry. I was terrified that I was going to miss my flight. I had to end up calling an Uber and luckily I made it. fast forward to today.. stupidly, I am still calling Dejoys. I always call 15 minutes before I have to catch the ferry. The ferry That is five minutes from my house. Mind you, Dejoys is also approx seven minutes from my house so everything is relatively close. this morning Steven picked up and told me that the cab would be five minutes so I said OK and I went outside within five minutes. I received a call at 5:52 letting me know that the cab was outside but when I got outside the cab was no longer there. so then I tried to call the dispatch but no one picked up and I was on hold with the line ringing for five minutes. Estimated hold time being 30 seconds, so of course I feel now he's purposely not picking up my call. I had to hang up and call back again and then after waiting another three minutes someone finally picked up. it wasn't the same dispatcher so I asked that dispatcher who I was speaking to previously and then Steven got on the phone VERY aggressively and was like "yeah, it was me that you were speaking to", so I asked him what happened to the cab, that I received a call but the cab wasn't outside. Why would I get a call if there was no cab outside waiting? and he responded sarcastically, "i don't know. am I the one driving the car?" and then I said "no you're not but you should know where your cabs are and why am I receiving a call if the cab is not outside" so then he tells me, "maybe you shouldn't give yourself only seven minutes to get to the ferry" with an attitude. so I said, "I actually give myself more than that and every time I call and it's another dispatcher that picks up, I never have any problems & I make it on time. I call every single day and it's only a problem when you pick up." Like the coward he is, he hung up on me. But, it makes sense why this company only has one star because they are extremely unprofessional and a sorry excuse for a cab service. Save yourself the headache, call an Uber or Lyft. They're prompt and reliable, and you don't have to worry about arguing with a grown a$$ man. read more

Car 46 is rude the driver was really rude we was told a set price of 8 dollars we got in the car and the driver up the prices to 10$ we had my son with us and he threatened to leave us at the hospital he was rude and I will no longer be calling this company expecially threatening to leave my son and my family at the hospital they need to be shut down and people need to stop taking this company bc they are rude and raise the prices when telling them a different price on the phone then the driver saying me a different price it's ridiculous and unprofessional and need new polices read more

Estimated wait time on the phone until someone decides that they FINALLY feel like picking up the phone, fluctuates. 1 minute, 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 3 minutes and you wait. Not a good way to operate a business. No indication if they are closed due to weather, no pre-recorded message. Save yourself the time and aggravation with this company. Go somewhere else. read more

If I could, I would give NO STARS. To start, when I called to request a cab, the dispatcher hung up on me. When I called back and asked why did he hang up, he said that I was taking to long. We wanted to make it a round trip ride with one stop. The cab driver was horrible, ignored us and didn't answer any of our questions when we were trying to be nice. Because of the service we decide not to continue business with them and and would call New Storm to finish the rest of our stops. We later found out that the driver/Dejoys CALLED NEW STORM AND TOLD THEM THAT WE HOPPED THE CAB. This was absolutely not true! That has got to be a new level of petty! New Storm was hesitant to pick us after Dejoys told them not to. Luckily, I was able to convenience New Storm that it was not true and offered to pay up front for security. New Storm is was cheaper anyway and is definitely the better company! read more

This company is disgusting. Never have enough cars. Rude customer service. Car number 74 driver is a creep!!!!!!! He waited for me, outside of his car door, even though he just arrived to my home. Then he started asking questions about where I worked. Also, when I went to pay him, he said oh don't worry about it. Ew! No! I hate this car service. Disgusting!!!!! They never want to answer there phone, nor have any drivers. I work early in the morning, you would think I would have a cab. So when J walk to work, I always see cars driving by. I don't even want to give a one star but I have no choice!! THE DRIVERS HERE SUCK! I've never used them but just driving through the streets of staten island I've almost been hit by one of their drivers 3 times!! After this morning, about 10-15 minutes ago when one of their drivers decided to do 45mph out of a gas station onto Hannah Street like where he was going I AM FUMING!!! He was inches away from smacking into the front of my car that would have impacted me so hard I would have hit the wall on the opposite side!! I'm calling 311 and the BBB!! I'll do whatever it takes at this point to get rid of them and I don't give a rats ass!! Their drivers put people in danger, they drive like animals!! Unprofessional. Man who answered the phone was rude. Informed me that the driver would arrive in 10-15 minutes. After 30 minutes I called to see where they were and he said it would be another 5 minutes. Ten minutes later, a car comes screeching down the street slamming on his car horn. Whoever answers the phone is a real jerk. He always says a car is just outside and it's usually 10-20 minutes before it shows up and if you call back to ask what's going on, he gets an attitude. If I ask a simple question, you don't need to be a smartass. read more

It was witheringly hot. We ran into our neighbors out on the street, who had already called for a car service. It came before the bus did, so we shared a car. The price was pretty average, a couple of dollars more than I've spent in the past. Service was pretty basic - it got us there quickly. I'd take this car service again. read more

HORRIBLE customer service..... the man who answered the phone was super unprofessional and rude. The first time I called he hung up then I had to call back because no other car service was picking up and there are NO UBERS or LYFTS in Staten Island. The guy picked up was nasty again he kept getting the address wrong !!! And was mad because of where I wanted to go .... if you can avoid this cab service then do that.
