I just got my lashes done for the first time at Deka Lash. I love the results. I got the volume lashes, and I'm so excited I won't have to keep applying lots of mascara to get the perfect volume. The process was easy and relaxing. The store is clean and welcoming, and the results are more than I had expected. They have lots of different choices of how you want your lashes to look and what you're comfortable with. I've been waiting to post this review, but decided it was time to post after giving the studio a second and third chance. My experience is similar to Mandy's (review below). Generally the techs are very nice and the lashes look great the day-of. Unfortunately, most of the lashes will fall out within a week. After three visits with three different techs but the same experience, it's probably not a fluke. (And yes, I follow the instructions not to shower/wash face/get sweaty for 24 hours after the treatment.) The first time I called about it, the representative wasn't helpful and said they will offer a complimentary touch-up only if you call within 3 days. I asked for the manager to call me back, which she did (and was very polite) but they didn't have availability to see me at a time that worked for me for several more days. The second time it happened, I was traveling (for my wedding!) and couldn't get it fixed. I also tried their brow lamination service on my second visit. It was my first time trying lamination so I had done copious internet research beforehand. The tech did not wax, trim, or tweeze my brows before starting, which was a red flag--that's necessary to get the shape right before ostensibly perming the brows into place. It turned out alright day-of, but again, within 2 days, it seemed like the perm was already wearing off. It certainly did not last the 4-6 weeks as promised. I really wanted to give this place a good review, but my experience was not worth the $ given that the treatments don't last. Canceled my membership and won't be going back. read more

Was going on vacation and wanted to get my lashes done for all the photos we would take. Saw Ro who told me several times "you have a great base". When we were done, I avoided any water and went to bed that night excited for my vacation the next day. In the morning, I woke up with 8 lashes having fallen off. Having never gotten my lashes done before, I called the dekalash number for advice. They said this experience is not normal and I could come within 5 days to fix it. I explained I was leaving for vacation that day and would miss their five day window. They said they'd call me back, but never did. Every day I lost more and more lashes. They had gaps and I had to wear sunglasses in all my vacation pics. In less than a week, they had all fallen out. I was so careful with water and didn't use and make up or eye cream. I called them when I got back from my vacation as they never followed up with me and was told there's nothing they can do. I even offered to show them all the pictures I took with the time stamps on them, but they didn't care. What a waste of money and terrible customer service. read more

I came in Deka Lash today to get a pair of extension and Nancy is amazing. I know nothing about lashes and struggle to wear false lashes. Despite my sensitive and multilayered lashes, Nancy took her time to make sure the lashes style suits my eye shape and the falsies don't irritate my eyes. I love the result. I keep going back and forth on how I feel about this lash studio. I had a membership that I just recently cancelled because I kept trying different lash artists and couldn't find one that I really liked. UNTIL, I recently had Nancy do my lashes who is PHENOMENAL. SO kind and my lashes look INCREDIBLE. However, I have had 2 experiences in particular where I got a full set and then maybe a week later almost half of the lashes had fallen out (no biggie - I figured it was a one-off), so I went back for a refill which was rushed from start to finish. The owner kept coming over to my lash artist and telling her to hurry up because there was another customer waiting even though my appt had started late too. The very next day almost all of the lashes on my left eye were gone but I was already on my way for a quick vacation for my 5 year anniversary. I contacted the studio that day and explained how dissatisfied I was especially since I JUST had a full set done too and the owner told me to come back to get it fixed - I explained I was in another state until the next week - she said she'd take a note and call me when I was back. I never got a call, but I made an appt for another full set since I still had the membership and figured there was a note on my account, however when I arrived for my appt and I asked about it the artist was fairly rude and said I needed to pay out of pocket for the appt even though it was the end of the month and I have a membership so they could've just used my credits for the next month (which they ended up doing). The artist said multiple times very condescendingly that in order to get an additional credit if I'm unhappy with my lashes that I need to contact the studio within 48 hours, which I kept saying that I had but I guess she didn't believe me. I'm debating if I want to reinstate my membership or not, but I'll probably look around first just because the professionalism at the studio isn't the best. read more

It was my first time yesterday at this place. I was trying to get lift and tint. I've done this before, but not in this salon. The tech was really nice, but after she's done, it looked like she didn't do anything. Like literally NOTHING!!! She offered to redo it a few days later, but obviously I'm not coming back. Positive experience until the lash tech (Sadya) I was going to for over 6 months left....this review is for the unprofessional, disappointing services and behavior I encountered the last 3 appointments within 1 month. 1. Fill appt w/Gauri - this was my first appointment since my original lash tech has left. Wrong length of lashes were used, they were longer than the ones I normally get. 4 weeks later I found out that my file has not been updated since November, never the less I would think as a tech you'd be able to tell the different in lengths (I had 9s and 10s on ......11s and 12s were used). 2. Second fill appt w/Gauri (she was friendly and overall did a nice job the first time)----IT WAS NOT WITH GAURI! A couple hours before my appt, I get a notification my tech would be w/master tech Neda. This appointment was less than 2 weeks after my initial appt w/Gauri, my lashes were bothering me and my eyes were more itchy than usual (I blamed my allergies for that). --- Neda explained to me that it's hard to go shorter since I had too many extensions left and it would be best to REMOVE FULLY and start all over (ok fine, I can understand why). I asked her how long it would be to remove she said x time but we cant do it today because you've already been charged for your fill. (Ok, whatever I can understand that too). ---- During my appt she tells me my natural lashes are too thin and the current extensions are too heavy for them and that I have gaps in my lash line. I told her my wedding is in a month and I was working with my original tech to perfect my lashes. I was worried about my natural lashes but she said it is fine to have a complete removal and get a full set put back on in the same day. ---- Prior to checking out I told her I'd like to purchase the lash serum they have since my natural lashes can use some TLC....she goes and grabs me the product and I pay. SHE DID NOT SELL ME A SERUM! The product she handed to me (and I didnt fully check it out, shame on me) is their product "FINISH" which is to protect your extensions so they last longer in between fills. $80. For someone who reminded me she was a master tech through out my 30 minute appointment I trusted her to have given me the right product. 3. Lash removal appoint w/Kaitlyn - TECH NO SHOWED! -- 12 days after my appointment with Neda I booked a lash removal since my eyes had been sooo itchy (I thought it was solely due to my seasonal allergies) and didn't want to get a removal and full set all on the same day.... appointment was at 11am and Kaitlyn was the only one who had availability. I was left standing outside the salon .....I called the number that goes to their call center, who said they reached out to the salon owner and asked if I wanted to wait 10 minutes....at this point I had already been waiting over 15 minutes --- Something could have came up for her and there may have been a valid reason, life happens I get it. My removal appointment was booked at a different location for later that day, this is where I found out my profile had not been updated since November. I told the tech I felt like my extensions were attached to my eyelids even though it doesn't necessarily look like it, she informed me it's because the extensions were placed too close and that can result in my eyes itching. Never received an apology for the tech no showing (Maybe they thought since I was booking a lash removal appointment that I was done getting extensions and wouldn't benefit their business anymore?) ---- Have an $80 product I have no intention of using - A lot of time and money spent trying to rectify an issue that should have never happened. Was intrigued about possibly getting lash extensions when walked past this location. I did my own research on the internet, but still had a few lingering questions. I went to this location two weeks ago, when I entered the facility there was no one there. I called to see if anyone was there, no answer. Decided to wait thinking the employee might have run out to grab a coffee or lunch. I patiently waited in the lobby for 15 minutes. Chalked it up to something might have happened and left. Went back yesterday to see if someone could possibly answer my questions, to find one technician working with a client. I stated why I was there and wanted additional information and have a couple questions. The lady barked at me,"I'm with someone, go to our website and sign up there." I tried to reply I had already done so, but was completely dismissed. I tried to give this location another chance, however they failed miserably. Guess they don't really want or need the business. Went here during the first week of April for a lash tint and lift. The young lady who performed my lift and tint was great-- professional and very friendly. The lift/tint only lasted about 3 weeks, but I think it really depends on your lifestyle and how much you exercise, shower, etc. I will go back for a second lash tint/lift next month. read more

It's not uncommon for you to lose your natural lash and they are adhered to them. So blame your bum lashes not the technician. First things first, ASK FOR BRANDEE. She's not the technician who will push you into a service you're not gonna be happy with. For this set I came in with some lashes still holding on. She very carefully removed them for me, surprisingly a relaxing process. Before she started applying them she explained to me the difference between true express and classic lashes. She showed me the different dimensions and lengths that would look best on my eyes. She was so incredibly light handed that I actually fell asleep both times I've seen her!! She is so sweet and genuinely wants to make sure that you are nothing but satisfied when your service is finished. BEWARE!! I was told that I was going to receive free lashes here by someone who was training. Sounded great to me. I sat for 2 hours and they turned out great. However, an hour maybe 2 later, about 6 lashes fell out. I called and they said 'people usually lose about 3 lashes a day so don't worry about it'. I understand that, but 6? I went to sleep and woke up and ALL of the lashes had fallen out! I called and they said 'well the girl was training so'. I understand that she was training but for all of the lashes to fall out? That's not normal. I went to a professional eyelash technician and she said that the glue used was either OLD or BAD. This also could've caused blindness. I was able to get a full classic set of eyelash extensions for free as this studio was needing models for their techs to practice on! I love my lashes! This is not my first time getting extensions so I was very familiar with the process. The tech did a great job explaining every step that she was doing. The only con that I had was when she was done my eyes didn't open first thing due to some glue being stuck on my bottom lashes. But no worries she was able to gently clean and take off the glue!
