Barry wasted my time and I found him to be a bit arrogant. Obviously, I wasn't the right client for him since I wasn't rich. I am sure the richer you are the richer he gets. Then he made some excuse that he was cutting back his schedule. Just unbelievable how you're valued based on how much money you have.

When I say comprehensive, I mean we sat down and talked about my family's financial situation, risk tolerance and goals. Barry conducted an in-depth review of our financial situation, our trust and wills and our tax returns and ultimately provided a long-term financial plan along with on-going investment management. I am comfortable with Barry because he understands the importance of family, honesty, integrity, and hard work. I should also mention his numerous degrees, certifications, and work experience, however what makes Barry different, aside from his core values, is his ability and willingness to explain anything I do not understand. I cannot tell you how much I have learned from Barry. As you can see, I highly recommend Family First Wealth Management. Barry is a man of his word who cares.

I left a major corporate job and accepted a position with RFGI, looking for a fresh start. After…read moresubmitting my resume, I was interviewed and hired the same day. Even though the pay was significantly lower, less than half of what I was making before, I took the job, hoping the environment would make up for it. I'll be honest--it's low pay at $16.50 per hour. I was previously making $29.70, but I figured I'd give it a try because my mental well-being meant more... until I saw my first insubstantial paycheck. Who can live on that? From the start, things were not as promised. During my interview, the owner, Jason, told me he was bringing employees back into the office due to declining production. However, once I started, I realized this was not true. The only people required to be in the office were the four new hires, while the rest of the company remained remote. If production was truly the issue, why weren't all employees required to return? It was clear that we were misled. And for your information, every new hire has an issue with it. Then came the leadership issues. I take pride in my attendance, but when I needed a simple one-mile ride to work because my car was in the shop, the owner told me he was "uncomfortable" with it. Meanwhile, two out of the three other new hires barely showed up to work or were late daily; that didn't seem to be a problem. If an employer is more "uncomfortable" helping a reliable employee get to work than he is with others skipping work entirely or being on time, something isn't right. To make matters worse, when I raised concerns about my pay being unsustainable, I was suddenly labeled as "disruptive" by his wife, who's the "collections supervisor." Disruptive? Me? A word that has never been used toward me before--not by anyone!! Just days earlier, I was the top collector in the company. Her reason was that I said, "I can't take this anymore," and it was overheard on a call being monitored--where there was no customer on the but the person listening heard it. So apparently, I was talking to myself, & it was overheard. And "I can't take this anymore" is apparently disruptive. So of course, I then asked her, "So when were you going to tell me?" She replied, "Today." Oh yeah? When? After I sat here all day collecting money for your company? Meanwhile, another employee spoke horribly to customers in ways I've never heard in a professional setting & still had a job. To the point where I would hear it, & my jaw would drop. But somehow, I was the disruptive problem? Interesting. Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room--why was the owner so uncomfortable giving me a ride? That reaction made me feel like I wasn't trusted, which raises the question: why? Was it because his wife, Michelle, who ultimately fired me, didn't trust him? I don't know, but the whole situation felt off. If an employer can't even help a loyal employee get to work, yet enables others who repeatedly miss work, that's a huge red flag. At the end of the day, this company lacks leadership, transparency, and fairness. If you're looking for an employer who values hard work and treats employees with respect, this is not the place. Best to you all still there!

That seemed scummy. Never a missed or late payment in my life and certainly never had business with the company the representative claimed I owed money to. I have read reviews on the BBB stating the company reps were easy to work with and made paying their "debt" like it was a pleasurable experience, I find that highly unlikely and suspicious.

When I had questions he didn't have answers. I caught something missing from a tax credit from property taxes on his screen and mentioned it and he had no idea. I asked why I had a credit for that line last year but not this year and he said he didn't no. So I asked him to pull up my taxes from the year before since I had them done here by someone else and he said "Do you really want me to try to look that up??" And I said of course that's why I get my taxes done so I get the most of my return. Come to find out it was a property tax credit and it was another $191.00 to my return that he would've missed. He doesn't no his stuff and it took 15 minutes for him to run my credit card in his Square Space card reader. Not to mention he left my W2 in the copy machine and i didn't realize it until I double check all my document. Very pop up shop uncomfortable feel. I do not recommend.

My rating is based on the fact that after being with T. Allen & Associates and its predecessors for…read more50 years, I was dropped as a client due to expressing my dissatisfaction with the service I received for the 2022 tax returns. The problem was not due to the actual preparation of the return but to subsequent sloppy handling of it and blatant fabrication of a story to mitigate the circumstances in getting the return back to me for signature. I had requested that the material be sent to an address in Florida where I would be. While there, I inquired as to receiving the packet for signature. I was told that the material was on its way. Not having received my packet in over a week, I again inquired and was told to wait a while. Another week passed so again I inquired and asked as to what address my return had been sent. They did not know because they did not keep a record of it and thus could not be tracked. After a few more days I again inquired and was told the material had been returned by the USPS and they would send it out. About a week later I received the return from T. Allen & Associates. I noticed that my original material, such as W-2s and 1099s were photocopies. In all other years, original material was returned. In questioning this, I was told that the original packet had not actually been returned by USPS, so I received a copy from their file copies. Corroborating the falsehood was that they could still not tell me where the original materials had been mailed to. There was no need to make up a story about the returns coming back to T. Allen. It was uncalled for, false and unprofessional. Furthermore, it puts a bad light on client relationships. T. Allen conceded that errors had been made. What caused him to drop me as a client was that I had labeled his staff incompetent. I did apologize for the poor choice of words since I have never had a problem with the actual tax preparation. I could have been satisfied with simply apologizing for the apparent clerical error in sending my return to a wrong address. However, I explained that what put me over the top, in my choice of the word incompetent, was being lied to by a member of his staff. In fact, I chose that word because I did not want to use the words "being lied to". I realize that the staff member meant well, but he went too far. I had forgotten that I was dropped as a client so I sent my material for the 2023 tax returns to T. Allen. He sent back my materials and a copy of our email correspondence from the previous year to remind me that I was no longer a client. In the emails Allen pointed out that in the email subsequent to our disagreement, he had written that they no longer wished me as a client and that they would return my check for the preparation of the 2022 returns. I checked my records and found that they had cashed my check, rather than returning it as stated. So I wrote him a nice letter, again apologizing for my poor choice of words in criticizing his staff, and reminded him that he was going to return my check. I said I would appreciate receiving the remuneration. Well, a few weeks later and no check. Obviously Allen chose to renege on his initial words. Hence this review.
