Well I've gone back to using Del Rio Cleaners because I have moved again out to the Del Rio neighborhood and it is too far away for me to go to Fresh Cleaners on Floyd. Del Rio Cleaners does deliver and pickup in this neighborhood and that service is such a great convenience! They do a good job with the pick up and delivery. I have used Del Rio again now for about 2 years. In this time, they have not broken any buttons like they used to, nor have they lost any of our clothing like they used to. They are occasionally late on some of them still however. The counter service at the Riverbank and the Coffee Rd locations are still not very friendly. It's not that they are rude, but they just don't try to make you feel welcomed when you walk in. Anyway, if you want delivery service, I think Del Rio Cleaners is good. Just be sure you don't leave your clothing outside on your porch too long as I have many neighbors who have had theirs stolen. This really is not the fault of Del Rio Cleaners however, but just something to be aware of. read more

At Del Rio Cleaners, they claim to "deliver convenience," but I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Horrible quality. Did not receive service requested. I dropped off my wedding dress after my wedding day. It had two small holes, broken hooks and snaps/buttons and some dirt from the rain during the ceremony. I was told the dress would be hand washed and properly cared for. When I received it back, the experience was shocking and heartbreaking. Not only was the dress still dirty and has flakes and chunks of dirt in it, but there were now 3+ additional holes in the dress. The original holes had been covered with very obvious and unattractive patches that significantly damaged the appearance of the gown. It was also clear the dress had not been properly hand washed as promised as the top layer of lace was stretched, twisted, and completely ruined in several areas. Two of the hooks were repaired, but the 1 buttons were never fixed. The dress still had visible dirt and stains throughout, despite being told it had been cleaned. To make matters worse, communication throughout the process was extremely poor. The dress was already over a week and a half past the promised pickup date, and we still had not heard from them. When we called for updates, the first employee told us they would contact the manager and call us back within five minutes. We never received a call back. After waiting 15-20 minutes, we called again and were told the same thing. Eventually, another employee told us the dress would be ready by Monday. Then we were called back in another 5 minutes and told it could be picked up today. When we finally discussed the issues with the manager, she stated they would not be able to remove all of the dirt from the dress and that they could not repair the damage without using the poor-looking patches they had added. She also stated that any additional alterations or repairs would have to be paid for by us, even though we had already paid upfront for the services they originally promised they could complete. We left and stated we were calling the police. When we came back 1.5 hours later and was hoping to resolve this without police, I noticed they suddenly had a new document prepared that included a section saying "refused to sign," even though they had repeatedly told me I had to sign the paperwork in order to get my dress back and there was no check box and place on the 1st copy for refusal. This time I went in and knew I had to get pictures and video of everything. I asked to see the dress so I could take photos and video documentation. While recording, I pointed out that the document itself clearly stated I could refuse to sign it. While I was there the cops also called and I let them know I'm trying to resolve it on my own and will call them back in a few minutes. This business lied multiple times throughout the day, including about refusing to release the dress. My spouse was present during these interactions and was equally shocked by the constant contradictions and dishonesty. Thankfully, we were eventually able to get the dress back. Unfortunately, it now has multiple holes, obvious patches, stretched and twisted lace, and is still visibly dirty. What was once my wedding dress now looks severely damaged and poorly handled. This was an extremely stressful and heartbreaking experience with such an important and sentimental item. I would not trust this business with delicate garments, formalwear, or anything of value. read more

I have been a customer for many years . Spending more than 1200.00 per year . Recently 5 items of clothing were damaged due to a machine malfunction. I requested reimbursement of the items. After speaking with Manager and emailing her, weeks later they apparently placed an envelope on it order with a check . I was never told about this , even on order pick up . I calked to enquire about when I would get reimbursement, and was told check was there . Needless to say I didn't see the check . When speaking with Donna the manager about this , she was extremely rude and told me I had partial responsibility in this . She hung up on me at one point . I asked for the Owner's name and was told by Donna and another employee that legally they can't give it out . I will seek out the owners to let them know how disrespectful and rude their manager is to customers . They will lose quite a bit of money yearly all because of the lack of professionalism of their Manager . read more

Sad I only had to try Del Rio one time before they proved customer service is non-existent in their establishment. I took a nice white dress shirt to them to be cleaned. I specifically pointed out a spot that needed extra attention. When I picked up the shirt the spot was still there. The employee (female 20 something) said, "well they tried I'm sure". I have the same button missing on a dress shirt for the last 4 times through the cleaners. The time before last I put a safety pin in it to remind them to fix it, the last time I placed 2 safety pins in the area to remind them. I got it back today with the 2 safety pins in and NO button. Upon entering Del Rios I was immediately greeted by Cazandra who assured me that my items would be taken care of. I used the service of their Tailor and also cleaning of a comforter. I have been a client for a number of years, and my wife recently included a special occasion (meaning only worn maybe 1-2 times a year) dress in my cleaning bag. She recently (3 months after including it) discovered it was never returned from Del Rio. When she called they said they had a 30 day window to report missing items and refuse to make amends on a $100 dress that is now lost. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Tried this place for the first time. Dropped off my stuff Friday and even though the sign in store says Friday drop off will be ready after 4 on Monday, I was told I couldn't pick up till after 4 on Tuesday. I picked up the clothes today and almost every item had some wrinkles or creases where there should not be creases. On top of everything else, the prices were very high for such poor service. I paid $50 for 7 items (a few shirts and a dress) where the other cleaners I tried in Modesto were only $3 per item, did a much better job, and have a 1 day turnaround. Worst alterations ever! I took 3 shirts in for alterations first I was quoted a price when I dropped off my shirts then when I came to pick them up I was charged another. Then when i looked at my shirts one had a hole in it right where the alteration was( I can't believe that it wasn't seen when it was made). Finally after they repaired the shirt it looked like a blind first grader fixed it. If don't want holes in your clothes then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE CUZ THIS PLACE IS GARBAGE! read more

Recently I started working here in Modesto, so when I noticed that Del Rio Cleaners was on my way into and out from my new job I decided to use this cleaner for convenience and to spend money locally. I came in with 12 dress / work shirts and a pair of slacks, where I was very clear and specific " Please crease the sleeves, press the collars and use medium starch. Seems like a reasonable request Right? A Week later I returned to retrieve my garments and as the employee was bringing my cleaning to the rack I noticed the sleeves were not creased, no starch just pressed, when I asked why the shirts were not done per my request or for that matter the instructions on the original contract an older lady stepped out from the back and said " well most people don't want starch or creases" WTF! so I reminded her to look at the original directions her self since she was not involved in the original conversation. Without any apology or any sign of accountability she asked if I would like to leave the garments for another day to starch and press, that would of been fine but I needed my items for business out of town, when I asked how this could happen she calmly stated these items pass through a lot of hands during the process. I asked if they were going to charge me full price, which she struggled to comprehend but gave me 20% off. The thing is I really didn't care about the money, I have a good job and don't mind paying for these type of services. I was troubled by the lack of accountability by this employee, and know if I behaved in this type of manner at my place of employment I would be replaced. Whatever happened to great laundry services that took pride in their work and cared about gaining new customers. I will find somewhere else to do my laundry. read more

I used Del Rio Cleaners for two years. In that time, they ruined two of my most expensive shirts and would return shirts to me with missing buttons. They offered to pay for one of the shirts they ruined, but they said that I would need to go find another shirt exactly like the one they ruined, which is not sold anymore anywhere as styles and trends change. As a dry cleaning service, they should be aware of this. The most recent shirt that they ruined and stained beyond repair they still made me pay for the cleaning even though it came back with stains on it! Seriously?!! The lady that i showed the shirt too acted as if I had slapped her in the face when I mentioned the problem to her. Bad customer service! I had only wore the shirt twice. I never received a phone call from anyone in management about the problem and I left my name and number with a note explaining what happened. This is the worst service I ever had. This was the second time that I used them. The first time I was shocked on how much they charged. I showed them a blouse that had some stains, and I got it back with the same stains and a missing button. I gave them a second chance, and it was worse than the first time. My clothes didnt look like they had been cleaned. I was very disappointed and when I told the person at the counter, he said its from the material of my clothes.
