I'm not sure why the review and star is so low I actually feel like this is one of the most clean restaurant of Del Taco that I have been to so far experience has been that they take pride in the cleanliness of the restaurant the drive-thru sometimes can be slower or faster just depends on how busy it is at the parking is pretty much non-existent but other than that the restaurant is always looks to be clean and well staffed and the food tastes fresh just as they advertise the drive-thru is very easy to access and they are open late what else can you ask for read more

The workers here are rude and have no consideration. I confirmed my order at the drive thru speaker 2 times, I get to the window, before I pay and confirm my order again, and the cashier says yes, proceeds to charge me. Once I get home, I notice that she gave me the wrong order, and overcharged me for what she gave me. The workers could be more pleasant when communicating with customers and double check their work so this doesn't happen again. read more

Very disappointed. I've never had an issue with this location but the food was just unacceptable. Not just that but we were the only car in line and waited about 8-10 mins for our food at the window. Why was my burgers bread falling apart, tomatoes so ends used for my burger and lettuce with dark slimy parts. The cheese was already completely hard and attached to the bun and the meat was completely hard around the edges. Looks like the burger had already been made and was just sitting there. It's sloppy and soggy. Disgusting. The fries were cold. This is very disappointing especially when I paid, got home and then couldn't and def was not going to feed this to my kid. Shit looked old and nasty. Do better. Just because it's fast food doesn't mean it has to be trash food. read more

I picked up food from the Hacienda Heights location and didn't eat it until I got home. After one bite of the burrito, it was clearly spoiled. The fries were stale and inedible and the taco was never opened, since I was grossed out at the point. I threw everything away. I called the store immediately, with no answer. I then emailed customer service with photos and was told someone would follow up. No one did. I sent another follow-up three days ago and still haven't received a response. I'm sharing this here because I would have preferred to resolve it directly. I hope someone from management reviews this and addresses both the food quality concern and the lack of follow-through. read more

The food at the Del Taco is usually always fresh. I can appreciate fresh food as that is one of Del tacos slogans. Service here is hit and miss. Most of the time they are on track of everything but every once in a while you get someone who's not with it. As far as ambience it is your usual drive-through, sit in restaurant. It is pretty clean and plenty of seating. The reason for three stars in this review is their hours posted is different from their actual hours. I always visit in the morning while driving to work to pick up my breakfast and lunch. Lately, they have not been open when I drive-through. Apparently this Del Taco is no longer a 24 hour drive-through. That is super inconvenient for those of us that work early mornings. As I said earlier in this review, our posted is different on the windows, the drive-through sign says 24 hours. It is hard to tell what they're going to do here. They need to change their signage or open back up. read more

I wasn't happy about how they handled things 2 days ago. However, they made it up to me big time when I thought they wouldn't. There was a mistake they made by giving me the wrong order. It seemed right based on what I had, but I just didn't receive my del burger. Today, I came back to get it and they were nice enough to give me a double del burger. The female worker who worked around the afternoon shift is definitely a great worker. And I remember she's been there for a while. Lastly, they sent a coupon order for to make up for their mistake. I really appreciate it, and any place that wishes to improve and make it up to the customer is a place that I'm willing to come back to. I love coming here for the EPIC Carne Asada Steak Cali Bacon Burrito. The service is always fast, and the burrito is pretty good. Tonight, though, the experience felt different. Right next to the drive-thru, there were about five guys hanging out by the trash cans. The car in front of me was even hesitant to pull in. It was a very uncomfortable experience if I had been alone, I would have most definitely driven away. I know this isn't the establishment's fault, and I actually feel bad for the workers having to deal with that environment. This was the worst, the worker that made my food wasn't wearing gloves, I saw him/her grabbing the lettuce with out no gloves just bare hands. The shrimp tacos were gross and as well as my epic burrito was badly wrapped up too big and soggy . I couldn't eat the rest with the thought I could get salmonella , this is a food safety hazard. Stopped by here for a morning snack. I usually go to another Del Taco on the same street in the same city where I get consistently good food and service. Now this location is a different story. I drive up and ordered a couple of breakfast items along with an iced coffee. Pretty much my usual items. The clerk did not provide napkins or ask if I wanted sauce. The coffee just tasted bad. The breakfast wrap was the smallest I had ever seen. My breakfast wraps were primarily tortilla with hardly any filling. As I said these are my usual go to items which I have had on regular basis from another del taco location and was completely satisfied. This location has to work on customer service and food standards. Two stars for parking and ? Nope, just one star. read more

Sure this place sits in a relatively low traffic mini mall so one can bean and cheese in peace. In general, the employees are reliable and provide prompt, amicable service. The prep and cooking of the homogenous Del Taco fare here are palatable. I recollect the bean and cheese I ate sated my desire for salty salsa and lava frijoles. What stood out to me more than the rewarding experience of having my typical dining expectations met is of another order altogether. This location is besieged by flocks of totally jacked pigeons. Every once in a clear window pane, the pigeons descend in a tumbling cloud of cooing and loose feathers. Sometimes a pigeon will lose control of its trajectory. Then it is Boomin' time. The pigeon(s) slam thunderously into the store windows at erratic frequency here. One can never know when a pigeon might hit. Best to focus on one's burrito and wait in anticipation of another loud booming. read more

I ordered the beyond avocado tacos and a macho fry and the fries look and feel as if they have been sitting all day, the beyond meat inside of the taco is all dry and smashed together. Idk what is wrong with this location, but after a long 12 hour day of work on my friday night the last thing I want to get home to is a nasty meal because the restaurant cannot keep up with simple quality control of the food. - Del Taco Corporate for this location really needs to get on their case about food quality. BIG MISTAKE! the lady took my payment and said my food wasn't ready and asked me to back up in the drive thru. WTH we were both wearing masks and she was putting the food in the bag. WHY THE HECK WOULD I NEED TO BACK MY CAR UP? I asked if I should park and wait, even though there were no other cars in line and she said no, just back up. I tried to order an Epic Scrambler Burrito, two of the Breakfast Fiesta specials and an additional hash browns (how hard is that?!) and she kept repeating something completely different. After a couple attempts, I then said I'd pull up to the window and there was no one there. I just took off and went elsewhere. Del Taco has the best deals in fast food. It's far from authentic mexican food which is better but this is great for the price. Where else can you get an extensive dollar menu? Plus there are a lot of coupons in the app and no restrictions on waiting. Also you can use 2 coupons in one transaction! This is a great rewards system and keeps me coming back every time. Mcdonalds lost me when they raised the mcchicken to 2 for 3.50 and made us wait 1 hour between coupons. I can get a crispy chicken taco which is basically a mcchicken but better for a dollar. Their items are so good. The chicken taco al carbon has that really delicious green sauce and I also love their breakfast rollers burritos and tacos. And unlike taco bell I don't have to visit the bathroom afterwards. You're on a roll del taco with your great deals and food for a very affordable price. Keep it up. read more

If this were just another Del Taco, I'd be rating it 2 stars. They get an extra star for having a 24-hr drive thru and the quick service I've been experiencing -- despite the gross plaza it's located in (next to a really old Pop Eye's) I don't expect much from Del Taco. BUT, I get extra hot sauce without having to ask for more, they are really patient with me when taking my order (since I'm so indecisive & picky), and they serve you without moans and groans. I will always make the extra drive to go to this one, they take there time but not too much time and always get the order right! We live right next to this Del taco on hacienda n gale and we used to like eating at Del taco until we moved here to hacienda! I give them a chance every single time I go back and it's the same thing stale taco shells and no stuffing inside! I think why do I keep trying on coming here thinking you guys will get it right!
