The asada nachos I got to-go. The tortilla chips tasted really old, totally unedible. The guac looked discolored on it. I threw it out after the initial bite because I felt if I ate the whole thing I would get sick. It was really bad. It sucks, I had to make new plans for dinner that evening. The food here is absolutely delicious! It's close to my school so I walk there all the time with my bf, we enjoy the food and atmosphere. It's always nice and cool in there and decently clean. The service I would say is a 10/10, you tell them what you want and they get it done. I don't like talking much and making small talk while ordering so this is a perfect service for me. I came in to order my food and a youngish guy with glasses took my order and I waited for my order to be done. As I was waiting like 2 people came in and ordered and their orders came out first and I'm still waiting . When I got up to see how my order was going I saw the same guy that took my order handling my food with no gloves . Just recently I called in a phone order and was told my order would be ready in 10 minutes. I got there sooner than 10 minutes and to my surprise my food was ready to be picked up. When I got home, which is about 5 minutes away, I found that my food was completely cold. Recently I ordered the nachos supreme. There was so much food that I decided to eat the rest later. Later came about and when I opened the container the food smelled like a wet, dirty mop. I decided to throw away the rest of the nachos. Food: I've always been trying to find a quality place that makes great tasting carne asada fries. I think I've found the place. The carne asada fries is served with guacamole, cheese, carne asada, and refried beans. The meat is of great quality and quantity. The fries are crispy that hold their structure as the other ingredients begin to make them soggy. My family loved the carnitas, saying it was juicy, yet crispy at the same time. It's been three months too long! I love the way they make the vegetarian burrito! I highly recommended. This place is close to a post office, Zumba class place, outlet store, dollar tree, grocery outlet, barber shop, laundry cleaning, donut shop and water shop! Very friendly people too working here! Sunday mornings are the only day I visit Albert's because of their menudo. Typically only made on the weekends, their version contains more hominy and tripe than any other restaurant I have been. Today we opted to have the other Sunday soup consisting of beef, potatoes, tomatoes and corn...all served in a huge bowl with a side of tortillas. More of a comfort soup than anything, the flavors of each ingredient can be tasted instead of hidden in a big bowl of soup. We also had the lengua burrito. About a pound of slightly seasoned beef tongue, rice and beans. Simple but works well together. I also asked for a side of seasoned, deep fried jalapeños for added flavor. FOOD POISONING I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! So to start off I was feeling great all day yesterday finished my day was looking for a spot to get food I remembered Albert's went to order asada fries I cannot make this up and it didn't hit me until I started to get sick it took them less then 5 mins to get my order ready and I still think that's giving them too much credit I took my "super frys" home started eating once again cannot make this up I started getting a headache within an hour of eating the food and immediately after I ate it started giving me stomach cramps "runs" followed by extreme nausea and light headedness and sweats till this very moment I'm writing this review I'm finally started to be relieved of the discomfort I've been resting and drinking water all day, it was determined that I ate contaminated food then it hit me how fast I received my food, how fast it gave me a headache and not to mention a couple times I ate the meat I don't know if it was bone or just some fatty part that was impossible to munch down on it was easy to tell they use cheap meat I will never be coming here again this was the first time coming here in a long time I grew up in highschool coming here for their superfrys and burritos never again I always paid their ridiculous prices because I loved their food now I realize their just out to make money and serving cheap meat you guys should be ashamed of yourselves i bet the meat I ate was sitting and most likely reheated and if you look into reports a lot of "Albert's" not "albertos" are getting reports of food poisoning throughout the years read more

I just came from Alberts Mexican Food which I've really enjoyed as my brother has to. I didn't eat there this time. When I entered the resturant bar the bar tender told me he wasn't open yet for another 10 minutes. But inside the bar there were a few people in there Eating chips and drinking. I asked the lady at the order register why there were people in there I couldn't go in there?? She didn't have an answer?? Then the bar tender came out and said those people are my regulars and I opened up early for them and I have to wait!!!! myself and my brother have spent allot of money there and tipped that bar tender well and I'm upset about this expierence!! Always come here for my lunch break - I've been here multiple times and haven't had any food quality or service issues. Recommendations: EVERYTHING!! - All the tacos a pretty good - adobada and lengua are probably my favorite - Chicken Quesadilla is HUGE - easily two meals - Taco Salad - Nice light and crispy bowl with plenty of toppings (guac tomato lettuce meat beans) They also have salsas on the side with fresh radishes. Have been going to this location since 2015, I have to say that it's the best mexican food restaurant that I've been to. They've always gotten my orders right, in the restaurant and over the phone. Their horchata is very tasty, their meats and green salsa are some of the best that I've ever had. Staff (Choco) are very polite and care about their customers. Honestly I don't know how this place stays in business. I've been here a handful of times and each time the service is bad. This last time I went the girl who took my order acted like I was bothering her. Isn't that what you are getting paid for? I understand people have bad days but it's always this way. I ordered 1 cocido, 1 mulita no pico and an a la carte order of cheese enchiladas. The only hot item in my order was the soup, everything else was cold. I couldn't believe that the soup barely had any vegetables. It was all broth. No cilantro or onion was given to add to the soup. The enchiladas are made with imitation cheese. Since they were cold I warmed them up and the cheese wouldn't melt. Awful. The mulita had pico despite saying no pico. Also it looked just like 2 tortillas microwaved and thrown together. Every time I've ordered a mulita from other places the tortilla is a little pan fried. Even their own menu photo shows a fried tortilla. I won't be giving this place my money anymore. I have never seen girl cook for this Alberts and I was amazed! How quick she was how precise she was making my order always double checking the ticket the lady wrote. So glad they opened up a location over here. Now I don't have to drive far for a burrito fix. I was shocked to see Chef's go because they've been there for so long but I was really surprised that an Albert's was going to open up there. So I was thinking about grabbing some Jack In the Box for lunch but then I saw the grand opening flags and balloons and decided to stop by Albert's instead. Best decision I've made all day. The wait was pretty long because of the grand opening but as soon as I ordered the Super Fries, my order was ready in 5 minutes. I took it to-go because it was pretty crowded but when I opened up the box I was super surprised to see the mountain of carne asada just covering my fries.
