I ordered seven bean burritos- 2 jacked up brc for 75¢, 3 mini bean burritos for 50¢, and 2 regular 1/2 bean burritos for comparison. I was very upset at the brown lettuce and how the high prices. I paid 5 dollars for a taco salad and the lettuce was going bad. I had to throw away the lettuce which was half the salad. read more

This location has really stepped up their game over the last year or so. They still get things wrong sometimes and the woman they have working most late nights at the drive through doesn't seem to know their menu very well(regularly repeats things back to me as different names and has told me that they don't have an item). I would no longer consider this a terrible del taco location, just an average one. read more

I'm glad I didn't read the reviews prior to coming here, or I might have decided not to go! I was starving and had a serious craving for some good old del taco and this did not disappoint. I ordered a simple bean and cheese burrito and the chili verde nachos. Everything was super hot and fresh, and hit the spot. The nachos had plenty of cheese and jalapeños. The burrito was great too, and I definitely didn't get food poisoning the next day haha. Service was just okay, but what do you expect from fast food? Also the guy gave me a BUNCH of hot sauce packets. read more

Haha...this place. So basically as since I was born the first two fast food restaurants I knew were Del Taco and Carls Jr (I live really close to the shopping center). I guess I'm a bit biased because I've eaten here who knows how many times...but I really can't complain about the service. The people here do their job and I get my order in a decent to pretty fast amount of time. The only thing I don't like is their taco tues/thurs only go to 11pm whereas other stores go until 12am. So if you're going to eat there for those specials I say go there early. read more

So this is really a 3 star restaurant but I have it a bonus star comparing it to other del taco locations since they serve breakfast all day long. The pain breakfast burrito and steak and egg are some of my favorite del taco cravings and it really bums me out when I go to a location for then and am let down because they stopped saving them 10 minutes ago or won't start for another 30 minutes. My husband ordered in drive thru, the guy behind the counter quoted him a high price at the pick up window. My husband made him repeat the order. He had the order wrong and when my husband corrected him, he had the nerve to tell my husband to read the menu next time. I wonder how these people stay employed after treating customers this way. I normally dont write reviews on fast food because, "hey what do you expect?" But the problem isnt necessarily the food. The problem is what most of the people below me have mentioned. The staff including the manager get so aggressive and defensive that an order is wrong. The man working the drive through immediately was like "hey hold on ok one minute. Cars begin to block the parking lot waiting for us to order. Two different mumblings over the speaker. No idea whats going on. Then finally "ok what you want, hello hello!?" Like we were the ones holding up the line. So we get halfway through the order and we order the carnitas wet burrito plate. He says bean and cheese burrito. We correct him. All he hears is "carnitas" apparently. We get the food and its wrong. Just a burrito. No receipt. Go back inside. What happens? You guessed it. Im met with "thats what you ordered" well i dont have a receipt. Like this is the first time an order has Ever been wrong. I repeated what we said. You said burrito and i corrected you. This happened 2 minutes ago. Not a hello welcome to del taco. Not an oh im sorry about that. They stick to their guns here and will not back down. They just work angry. Im not really sure why the attitude is so unruly here and im hoping they actually read these and realize how consistent the issues are. To be honest, 1 star is being extremely generous! By far the worst quality, and smallest quantity, I've ever had at a Del Taco, which is one of my favorite quick spots to eat. On top of the poor product, you are greeted by a rude and sadly incompetent staff. Stay away at all cost. read more

Worse service in Irvine. Every time I come, regardless of who's working, service is just terrible. At the drive tru, they take your order and never confirm back what you ordered. When you arrive at the window to pay, they stare at you never saying a word. They take you money or card and had it back to you without ever making eye contact. When they hand you your food, they simply stick your food out the window. Good luck getting condiments or a napkin. Majority of the workers I've encounter have zero common courtesy and can be just simply rude. read more

Guess what? Del Taco not only have cheap food, but cheap people also! Two days ago, my boyfriend went to get the drive-thru order. He ordered a chili cheese fries and found out that he didn't get one after he left. Yesterday night, we went back to Del Taco and asked for one. A middle-age Mexican guy who works there asked my boyfriend to show him the receipt. My boyfriend tried to find it but couldn't find it. That guy kept saying he needed the receipt. When I looked at his eyes, he seems like suspect my boyfriend lied to him and trying to get free food. Hey dude! What kind of service is that?! You messed up my boyfriend order. Too bad this is the only fast food near me that's open after 10pm. Since I've lived near here since 1997, I've been short-changed by the people working the drive through many times. Sometimes I catch it, sometimes not until after pulling through. You can tell they're robbing the register when you see they don't ring up orders on the register or give you a receipt. This Del Taco store # 101 and #78 in Anaheim are both owned by the same person. Don't use your credit card at either of these locations because myterious charges will show up in your account. Usually occurring on the same day. The charges start small then one day you spend $20 at del taco in Irvine that you have never been to. I had 6 fraudulent charges from using my card at DT in anaheim and then being charged for DT in irvine. read more

Make sure to inform the person in the drive through if you have coupons before you get to the window. One worker got incredibly upset, and it was uncomfortable. I feared for spit in my food. They also forget food often. So check your bags. read more

Food is passable but I doubt the 8 oz weigh more than 4-5 oz. My biggest complaint is that they refuse they honor their gift card. My son gave me one for my birthday. I've been there 3 times over the last 2 months and each time they told me the card reader was broken. I believe it's more likely they didn't know how to use it or just didn't want to bother. If not for the coupons I get in the mail, I wouldn't go at all because the prices have skyrocketed in the pas year. read more

Ordered via drive thru, and they got my order wrong so O had to re-order at the window. They made me wait 10 min for the order to come out only to be missing half my order. I had to walk in to tell them I was missing order and they made it seem as if I was trying to cheat them. Demanded I show my order and receipt. look, i love del taco but every time i go to this place it just ruins it for me. in comparison to other del tacos this place blows my mind in a bad way. i think i met the manager or owner once. GREAT guy and when he was there it was on point however this location has employees that even tho it is a 24 hr drive thru they hide and ignore you thinking you will go away. look, what are you getting paid to do there. just serve the few customers that come throughout the night. so ridiculous. i had to wait at the window for 15 min while my friend decided he was tired talking to the mic and having no one reply so we drove to the window and he has to shout for a long time then someone eventually came to take the order since we drove all the way there. not to mention that i order fries and one day they actually wore gloves... but then touched the money, register, and the fries on the same hand. like what?! idk. the employees need to get it together. also, give me more sauce. read more

I love Del Taco's chicken soft tacos. I usually have it for lunch @lake forest, but I dropped by this place on a weekend to get a fix. I had a coupon with me, a BOGO, for carryout. It was about 3:00pm, so there wasn't a line. As I stood waiting for the food, I saw the cashier walking over to the person preparing food, she spoke with him a bit, glanced at me a couple of times, and continued talking to him. I thought nothing of it until I walked out with my food. As I sat in my car, unwrapping my tacos, one taco was a standard chicken taco, then other was a taco with only two pieces of chicken and standard amount of veggies. Needless to say one was much lighter and thinner than the other. I was shocked at such behavior from the chain. I didn't walk back in to argue with the restaurant. With such shameless behavior in the first place, I wouldn't be surprised if the cashier just denies it and accuse me of eating the chicken. Obviously the restaurant doesn't want my business, so I stay away. With such lack of morals, who knows what else they do in the restaurant that's substandard? read more
