We consider each of the caregivers our forever friends. Arbi, the owner of Divinity, is a very hands on caring owner. He takes on each patient with attention to detail and takes the time to know them and provide caregivers with the skills to meet their individual needs. My mom would light up when they came in and would always work hard to know their names and talk with them. I cannot recommend Divinity Hospice enough. I would give a"0" star if possible…read more We live hours away from my grandfather, so when he was rushed to the hospital for a procedure and then required to go into assisted living before being released to from the hospital, a family member found this place for him. At $2.2k/month we realized jet was not the top of the line when it comes to assisted living, but definitely expected more. The language barrier is the first obstacle, as hardly any of the people who work there speak English. There is also only 1 person working and 4 or more residents. Every time we went to visit there was one poor old man just sitting on a toilet unattended to. I think he was there with all doors open for an hour or longer during one visit. My grandfather was there for two weeks before we were able to go visit. The first thing he told us was he felt that he was having trouble catching his breath. We took him to urgent care that was one block away to find out that he had pneumonia! None of the staff took anytime to listen to his symptoms or to call his emergency contacts to have him tended to sooner. An 85 year old with pneumonia is a scary thing and needs to be tended to promptly!! The urgent care immediately emitted him to the ER! In addition to the above, the food is atrocious! One dinner was McDonalds cheeseburgers!!! My grandfather has high blood pressure!! Nowhere is McDonalds on an approved diet for someone with high blood pressure and cholesterol!! My grandfather is dying now in the hospital from pneumonia and congestive heart failure and we were forced to end his residency rather abruptly from Calloway only to get an aggressive call from the owners informing us that we owe over $2.2k!!! Pound sand!! Send my dying 85 year old to collections, as you'll never get another penny from us!!
