Despite the fact that I arrived early for my appointment, when I made the appointment I explained that I had very long hair and that this was going to be my first appointment. The stylist told me that the person before me had arrived late. She further told me that I should have stated that I want there to be styled. Isn't that why we go to a hair stylist to begin with? I think the cut is good, it's hard for me to tell because I never really got to see it styled. I cannot style my hair as well as a hairdresser can. She told me that she stacked her clients which is fine, I don't mind sitting under a hair dryer getting dry while someone else is getting washed or cut or colored. But I really felt rushed out the door. I told her that my hairdresser would often curl my hair and pin it so that it would try slowly and stay curled. and that was fine with me if she wanted to do that. the only problem is is that when I took the pins out my hair immediately fell and had no style. Heather allowed us to take pictures of each style and the process - then my daughter printed them out so she can review the styles and copy them on her own. 2) Haircut - I had not changed my hair style in 15 years -- and had not cut my bangs for twice as long. I asked her for advice and she walked me through the options and gave her recommendation. Cut my bangs and love the look. Service has been acceptable and consistent and we like not having to drive too far for haircuts. We brought our daughters in for back to school haircuts this year and had a terrible experience. Instead of charging the child haircut price for our 8 and 10 year old children, they overcharged us by $25 and did not say a word about it. After we got home, we noticed that the receipt was for much more than we expected. We texted the stylist to politely ask if there was a mistake made. There was not, she intentionally charged a higher price without telling us. She became very defensive and told us that our kids have "Too much hair". Our family is not white and our children have an average amount of hair for their ethnicity, but yes, more hair than the average white child. She also told us that she doesn't usually cut childrens' hair. Why did she accept the appointment then? The haircuts were not even good and absolutely not worth the price we paid. The entire interaction left us feeling awful. This salon has lost 6 customers as a result of this experience.

The first time I went there Michael and Kimberly were very pleasant and they did a decent job with my hair (cut and color). The next time I went I felt rushed and not listened to. The last time I went Kimberly was not pleasant at all. I asked her to do the same color job as last time and she left the front (headband) gray. I told her I wanted it light blond with some dark blonde lights so when the gray started growing in 2 weeks it would blend and not look like a white circle around my face. It was like she didn't hear me it all and I had to ask her to do it over. She did but she wasn't happy about it. Then Michael cut my hair and I would swear he was in his man-period. He didn't say 2 words to me and rushed through the cut like he was a million miles away. The last time I went there I showed pictures of the cut and color. I ended up looking nothing like the photos. If they thought my hair would not work in the style or color I wanted they should have said so and offered me an alternative. They didn't say anything and it felt like they just did what they wanted and ignored me. Needless to say I was even farther from what I wanted for my hair. I gave up and now its been about 8 months since I did anything to my hair. I think Michael and Kimberly are burned out so it depends on how they are feeling on the day you come in.

The salon is very dark. When she was done with my hair, looked darker than I asked for but since it was dark in the salon, I decided not to say anything in front of her new client. I thought it would be better to check it out at home. She was eager to set up a new appointment but I made an excuse so I could evaluate this very expensive hair coloring. My bill with tip was $365.88. I got home and checked my hair in every light in my house. It was much darker than it was when I went in which is not at all what I asked. I asked for an icy blonde and not a brunette. I messaged her, told her I would not make another appointment and said my hair was much darker than it was before I went in. She recommended purple shampoo to help correct her mistake. I would have to spend money to fix it but this is also the same shampoo she told me while she was doing my hair that she wouldn't recommend it for my hair type (I have been told in the past not to use it). She offered to redo it for free but at this point, I lost any ounce of confidence in her. Her mistake, her bad recommendation (other colorists agree) etc. I then asked for my tip back because she truly did not deserve a penny of it. She decided to ignore me after I asked. After she ignored me, I decided to comment on her post, the one I saw to make an appointment. I stated the above with pictures. Within 5-10 minutes (not at all exaggerating) she deleted the post. She decided to post in a local private group of all beauticians etc. in kitsap and she told everyone if I made an appointment to fix her mistake, they need to cancel because I was a difficult client. She blocked anyone who defended me. This post was very hurtful since she made the mistake. I was criticized by a few of her friends who backed her and was told they back her only because she's one of them. She slandered my name, made sure no colorist would touch me to fix her mistake (or take me on as a client) in kitsap, kept 100% of the money, refused to return the tip (I didn't ask for it all, just my tip) and had her friends pm me to harass me. I had my hair japanese thermal straightened and have been trimming it out so I can enjoy my curls again . She shaped my hair, thinned it out , taught me about curl patterns , how to retrain my hair , correct salon grade products , heat products , inquired about my routine , and even talked to me about color because I was honest and told her I had thermal straightening in my hair still and the color she is seeing is blonde that I had professionally colored back to my original color . I can't wait to go back to start my color journey ! Since I want peak a boos in there ! She was so lovely , knowledgeable and after the cut my hair has been bouncy , light , curly for days !
