When my son was having his wisdom teeth removed, they would not submit his preauthorization forms even though our dental insurance company specifically requested them. I was told, "most dental offices don't do that because it takes too long. If you want to do it, you have to do it on your own." I was then give. The line of how fortunate we are because they will at least bill our insurance company instead of making us pay upfront and then recoup it from the insurance company offer the fact. I called several other dentists after this conversation and learned that they would in fact submit the preauthorization. My son was 7 minutes late for a prior visit and they called us three times to complain. Certainly I'd prefer that he was not late, but that is a huge overreaction to 7 minutes. When I finally asked them to forward our records to a new office as I was done with them, they again refused. I was told that request had to come from the new dentist. Again, this follows their attitude of them doing us a favor with everything.

Jaymie and Sarah were beyond kind, compassionate, patient....I could go on and on. It was a slow start for me, anxiety ridden and nervous (about everything and nothing). They made me feel comfortable and cared for. Truly cared for, for hours, which put me at ease. They gave me time to work through my anxiety and fears. Allowed me to stop and sit up when ever I needed to (many times). QUALITY is the best word to describe Braden Dental. And what pain?? None! High tech stuff going on in there. Seriously, I was scared of the shot(s), but I really felt almost nothing at all. After a while (I was there for almost 4 hours), my brain and body realized I was in a safe place, and they weren't going to allow me to suffocate or drown (irrational fears). They allowed me time to work through my feelings, and that was truly amazing. Jaymie worked her magic, and I'm incredibly grateful. If you need dental work, and want THE BEST of THE BEST, you need look no further. It was so refreshing, and surprising, that I was given so much time to adjust to all the dentisty things going on. We took a break in the middle and I was able to do a 10 minute meditation, which changed the rest of the appointment. I ended up humming to the music playing in the office while they were working in my mouth! I had a broken tooth filled on my upper right side. I was on time to my appointment and was left to wait for 20 minutes in the waiting room. When Mary (the denist) came to talk to me she didnt introduce herself and I later found out who she was. While she gave the local anesthetic she hit the main nerve in my face. I have never felt any pain like that before, my right side of my face immediately went numb and couldnt see out of my eye for a few seconds. Needless to say, I was a wreck and cried through the rest of the procedure. After, My whole right top jaw was in pain for the following week while I was not able to eat any foods warmer or colder than the temperature of my mouth because the tooth was so sensitive. I called Mary she said it was normal for the first week. (It is not normal to be that uncomfortable says other dentists) This lasted for a month. I went to see another dentist who took an xray and said Mary had not drilled out all the rotten part of the broken tooth as well as not having filled the tooth completely so there was space between my tooth and the filling so the gases trapped expanded and contracted with temperature change. This had caused a lot of new damage and rot and lots more money in repairing my tooth by a second dentist wanting to do a root canal. After all this, Mary did refund me the money for the poor job she did but the money I spent repairing her poor work and damage cost way more than the refund.

Dr O'brien has brought in Dr Joshi. I was not interested in having someone else pick around in my mouth. Someone who hasn't spent years building a good patient/dentist relationship. But as all things do, I had to except that things change. Dr Joshi is darn near perfect. When I say perfect, I mean like he is very good at matching your color to your new porcelain. Gentle and patient. I was actually really impressed. I do love DR O'brien because he tolerates me asking him a million questions to keep him chatty while working on my teeth. It keeps me distracted from what's going on and it's also fun to hear or others travels right. I have read a lot of reviews about them saying things needed to be done that actually didn't. I have never had an experience like that. Actually the opposite. If they want more X-rays they have taken on the cost. When I was younger and broke starting out in life I felt the dentist worked well with me. This dentist also took great care of my son over the years. And my son loved going to the dentist. Never complained once. I now live over an hour from this business. I continue to make the drive. My husband thinks I'm nuts to not find a new local dentist. But I can't. To many years. He did an xray of my mouth immediately and then laid out all my options for the tooth. I decided to have the tooth pulled and he finished the procedure in ten minutes. Absolutely no pain whatsoever. And he is very, very reasonable- price wise. My brother had a tooth pulled and he paid five times as much. Dr Barnes is a saint. He did a root canal on another tooth last year and he let me pay for it every month. He works with you. I have no dental insurance. I don't know what I'd do without him. Oh, yes I do. I'd be in pain and I'd end up at one of the high priced gyp joint dentists in the area.
