Why bother! I called to try and get a round about estimate to rough in the plumbing for a laundry…read moreroom sink. I wanted to shop around for the best price. They said they had to come out to take a look and the cost was $125 JUST TO GET AN ESTIMATE! I come from a family of plumbers (they don't live in the area), I had a picture of the wall, I knew the existing pipes were pex. I texted my master plumber kbrother what I needed and a picture for a ball park estimate of what he would charge and he texted me back a price in 30 secs. What a load of C#$^@! Why should I have to pay them to give them my business!!! So I pay $125 for them to give me an estimate on non urgent work, then I decide their price is too high and I'm out $125 for what?! Just call someone else. This is a terrible customer service premise. I can see exactly how they feel about their community. I am still so angry that I spent the extra energy just to give them a bad review. My family never did business this way.

We've used Eastern Plumbing for several jobs around our house and they do great work…read more Price wise, they have never quoted me a price that I thought was unfair. They've installed a garbage disposal, 3 toilets, and cleared clogged sink and shower drains. Also to their credit, I've never had to call them back to work on anything they've installed. Very accommodating with scheduling and called me back earlier than expected to get my work scheduled. I highly recommend using Eastern Plumbing if you're in need of a plumber.

Unfortunately we had a problem with a toilet during Memorial Day weekend. We called the company on…read moreMemorial Day and were told that he had two service calls to go on and then he would be by to give an estimate on the work. (We also needed two faucets to be replaced and figured it would be easier to get it done at the same time as the toilet.) Well, he did not show up at all that night. We didn't receive a courtesy call either. It only takes a moment to call someone back and apologize that you won't be able to make it that night after all. Hopefully they pick up on this practice in the future. The next morning, the guy called us back and said he would be at the house around 9 or 9:30 and apologized that he got an emergency call the night before. (Again, it only takes a moment for a courtesy call once you've told someone you're going to be there for an estimate.) He did arrive around 9:45. He did a quick look at the work and quoted at half what another company quoted over the phone (without seeing any of the work.) He stayed and did the work. It took him a total of six hours to complete the valve replacement on the toilet and installing the two faucets. He had two cell phones with him that rang constantly. And every time one rang, he took the time to answer it. I thought this was quite a bit unprofessional, especially since some of the calls sounded like personal calls. The calls greatly slowed down the work. Unfortunately, one of the replacement faucets we purchased was faulty and we had to get it replaced before he could finish the work. During the twenty minutes it took to go down to Lowe's and replace the part, he left to go do another call. Luckily it didn't take him long to come back after we called him and told him we replaced the part. So after this six hour ordeal, he finally finished the work and stuck to his quoted price. (Lucky us!) I can't really say I recommend or don't recommend this company. If you have all day for your plumbing problem to get fixed, then go for it. The guy is very nice. (This was just a little pet peeve, but he talks extremely loudly and I had a sleeping 4 mo old in the house.) He also kept asking us to clean up after him and tighten things here and there. Some things I feel he should have been doing himself. I probably won't use this company again.

I do not recommend Mr. Thomas due to he OVERCHARGES. I had him do some work for me at a couple of…read moreother locations and he was very fair and helpful. However today I had him install a water heater that took him 45 mins. The only thing he had to do was take it out of the box and connect it. All the wires and fittings were already there so literally hook it up was all he had to do and he charged me 250.00. Told me this is what they been charging for 20 years. Could have been that way but I am sure there was a lot more to that price than connecting a couple of hoses and wires. On the high side I did not expect to pay no more that $100-$150.00 for this job. Reading the other review it appears to me he makes it up as he goes. The invoice he just jots down something to make it appear that he did something of value for the price.

As the weather turned cooler, we called them back as the same unit was reading "auxiliary heat" when started. Not only did the tech not show on the originally scheduled date, we were charged a service call charge with this message on the bill: "check unit and check aux heat; found unit working fine at this time; found aux heat when go over 2 degrees as it should." When I called to inquire about the service call charge for what I would think would be covered under a warranty, no only did I speak with rude office staff, the second person never returned my call after she was supposed to be "looking into it." This week, we received a bill with a "finance charge." Apparently, there was a "30 day warranty" on the service (I was not present for either visits). Stay far away from a company that only guarantees their work for 30 days and if this was such a common issue, we should have been notified of this over the phone (remember, I had to call twice to have the technician come out the second time). We will never, ever use this company again. The Pollards should be ashamed that this is the business they are running.

When my AC died, I decide to replace AC and oil furnace with a heat pump. Pollard was the only contractor willing to include my entire request, address my questions and concerns and provide a written price quote. They removed old equipment and installed the new system along with installing ductwork in a recreation room that was added to the house. I can't say enough about my satisfaction on how they completed this project and how the company stands behind their work. They worked for three days to get the job done. The technicians were extremely polite, courteous, thorough, knowledgeable and cautious while working around my floors and furnishings. Although I had many questions they were very patient and professional in giving me thorough explanations. The technician team did a fantastic job. They demonstrated great teamwork throughout. They represented outstanding workers. Great company from the salesman to the tech team, all aspects of the purchase and installation were top notch. We are very satisfied with the overall job and excellent customer service.
