He switched me from 80 mg of a stating to 10 mg, even though I have had a heart attack and three stents. Yesterday I had a near heart attack, and another stent put in an artery that went from 60% blocked to over 90% in less than a year, and two of my original stents that looked fine last year is now 50% blocked. My doctor here (I'm no longer in California) confirmed that the reduced medicine was the reason for the current issues. Dr. Costa mismanaged my health and completely ignored many other concerns and his improper treatment nearly caused me to die. In addition, the entire staff are unhelpful, ignorant, and not in any way compassionate. Run, don't walk, away from GVHC. Going there will literally put your life in danger.

He delivered my second and where most doctors just show up for the delivery, he stayed at the hospital the entire time because there was a questionable person on my delivery team and he wanted to make absolutely sure everything went smoothly. He does have a sense of humor in his work but I think it's because he trusts you with who he is the way he would expect you to trust him -if that makes sense. I really liked him. When ever I would feel a certain way about something he would always explain things and talk to me so that I could better understand a situation and I always felt at peace and better after my visits with him. He has been doing this a very long time, has seen it all, and knows exactly what he's doing. I am very grateful for the care I received from him.

He was my gynecologist for my first pregnancy. I was young and anxious and hoping for someone to be…read morenurturing and understanding. Unfortunately, Dr. Georgiou is none of those things. He is a strange man with a strange sense of humor. Right off the bat, he asked me whose "fault" it was for my pregnancy. I'm not sure if he meant this as a joke, but I found it weird. During my FIRST pap smear, I was in a lot of pain. I told him this, and he immediately made the assumption I had an STD. I ended up not having one but this instilled a lot of unnecessary fear in me. Another odd comment he made was when he had a nurse take a look at me. He warned her beforehand to be careful with me because I "haven't had a lot of sex." Shouldn't this be protocol for everyone despite sexual history? I just found that to be a bizarre thing to say about a patient, especially a young one. He went on a trip towards the end of my pregnancy, and I ended up seeing Dr. Wright. He was much kinder and never made me uncomfortable and of course I went to him for my next pregnancy. Biggest regret was ever requesting Georgiou in the first place. If you are in Los Banos, I would advise against requesting him, unless you also have a bizzare sense of humor and like being made uncomfortable.
