I was wrong, when I opened the box and saw all those pieces, I knew immediately I had to hire someone for the job. I got on Yelp and came across John's business. I was a little skeptical at first because it says furniture assembly but I decided to message him anyway. Not only did he answer right away but the price was excellent and he could fit me in the next day!! John arrived promptly and went right to work. It didn't take him long before he had the treadmill put together and was working on the bike. He even opened up the treadmill mat and set everything up nicely. He completed the bike in what seemed like seconds and I tested everything out. John was very professional, on time and he answered all my questions with ease. Everything was well put together and he didn't leave a mess behind. I am throughly impressed. Not only is he skilled in assembly but he's sort of a jack of all trades. I explained to him a situation that I was having with the light in the basement and he knew exactly what to do to remedy it. John is officially my go to guy!! Well, I'm alive and well, and I'm happier than ever! Over the last week, Chauntese, the owner of this company, and I have been texting about my planned project for the house (getting stuff mounted in my living room). We discussed the expected costs, the space, recommendations for what I would need, and I regularly sent her things to verify that I would be able to use them. Due to varying delivery dates, I had to even push back the day I originally planned to have this done, and it was fine! When the day finally came, she was wonderful. Her assistant, Joshua, was just as cool as she was. The project took about 3.5 hours, but trust me, this was not a "I wish she would hurry up so this can be over with" type of deal! There was conversation, there were laughs, there was education! I learned about her background, what got her into doing this kind of thing, and what her future plans are. I learned how to use my mount and I even got some advice on how to continue to improve the space as I continue to settle in. It wasn't just casual advice -- it was really helpful. If we weren't having fun and talking, the project would've been done much quicker, but I am glad things turned out the way they did. In summary, my time with them in my home was more than just getting my stuff mounted. I learned a lot and I will definitely keep in touch in case I need anything else. And thanks to the work of Chauntese and Joshua, I now have a living room that feels more like home than ever. The company wanted to charge me $250 for "canceling" & then another $450 to come back to complete the assembly. I said $700 for an umbrella installation is out of price range so they charged me $350. When I called back to find out why the $100 more, I was told it was because I was not having them come back so he charged me the full standard cancelation rate per their "contract" which by the way, is referring to their email, I signed no contract with them. I will not be using this company ever again.

Then...they showed up at 5. That's the complaint. But they actually managed to build the whole thing in 2 hours, which means I essentially paid the minimal hourly rate. They unpacked everything, brought their own tools, put the bookshelf nicely against the wall, then disposed of all the packaging. All of this was done with no supervision and while I continued to watch a marathon of Law and Order. I will absolutely use them again for all my assembly needs. I just might have to be prepared to wait around a bit longer.
