The lady who I spoke to said "did they need an authorization", when I'm clearly on an HMO. Then they put the order under routine and have since denied making it STAT. I expressed losing sensation in my hand and extreme fatigue, but it's not enough to make it STAT. What should be considered STAT then?

After 2 days and no response, I sent a MyChart message and I got a response saying Dr. Boos said I would need to see a gynecologist for this prescription. As a former primary care doctor myself, I was shocked by this response. Prescribing birth control is a basic component of women's health that every PCP I've ever had and known as a colleague has done without question. Needless to say I will be finding a new doctor.

After going through stage two breast cancer in 2005 and then again in 2013, I had turned to…read moreimplants. I noticed that even though my implants were behind the muscle wall, they were beginning to droop on one side where I could actually pinch skin to skin.. I made an appointment with Dr. Dubrow's office.. Within a few weeks, I was able to get an appointment and go in to have my implants removed. Currently with the implants I was a G. Due to having an lumpectomy, I was under the impression that I did not have much of my own breast tissue left and this is why the doctor recommended implants to begin with. But at this point I had had my implants replaced multiple times and continued to have trouble. When I spoke to Dr. Dubrow and his amazing assistant Jackie and explained the trouble that I was having and that I wanted the implants removed. Unfortunately, my husband was not able to attend the consultation due to how fast I was able to get my consultation so we did it over FaceTime. My husband was still hoping for a larger outcome. My expectations were anything healthy. Even if that included a size A cup. After surgery, Jackie had shared my postop surgery report with me. As I expected the chemo and radiation had damaged the tissue in my right breast to the point he had to remove a lot of tissue in order to lift my breasts evenly. Coming out of surgery with the scarring and the stitches , the swelling and everything. I definitely was completely flat chested. But as the days went on, my breast started forming and dropping just as they said they would. I am currently five months postop into my surprise. I am a 34D. Needless to say my husband is extremely happy and so am I. This has been such a wonderful experience and it is all due to a doctor's office. That truly knows what they're doing. They were thorough, detailed, kind, and provided a Get Well Loop portal with checklists and check-ins leading up to and post-surgery for easy daily check-ins. With Hoag Medical Group, the surgery was at the main Hoag Orthopedic Institute hospital on Sand Canyon and I felt well monitored and cared for through the entire process. I am just 2 weeks post-op today and grateful for my beautiful new knee and a new lease on life.
