Food seasoned perfectly ! Well balance of spices, temperature and spiciness. If you're not big on spicy- tell them Mild because regular spicy might be a bit much for some. I/We like spicy so Indian spicy is what we went for. Marlon's service was excellent! Time between appetizer to main course done well. Calamari was the best one I have ever had in Hampstead/Wilmington area. Place was clean and laid back atmosphere. Appreciate cloth napkins.

...and the food just keeps getting better and better! We started our most recent visit with the Makhana Bhel appetizer, a large, quirky bowl of popped lotus seeds, green mango, tomato with a tamarind chutney sauce. Certainly big enough for a table of four to share and very inexpensive at only $12. Think popped corn in a tangy, sweet sauce with a little heat. For dinner, out two-top shared two entrees; the Tandoori Salmon ($24) was perfectly cooked and featured a green curry and cilantro sauce with jalapeno mayonnaise. While very flavorful, the portion size was a bit on the small size and didn't come with a side of rice. The Tellicherry Cashew Pepper Chicken ($19) was ordered "spicy" (not "Indian spicy") and it delivered a nice heat that didn't overwhelm the dish. The shredded chicken breast was nicely cooked and featured a saucy blend of crushed black peppers, curry leaves and cashew nuts. At the end of our meal, the chef sent over a bowl of Gulab Jamun, known as milk doughnuts. They were so fluffy and sweet, with an aroma of cardamon and rosewater. A great way to end our amazing meal!

We had an amazing dinner on Sunday night. Lots of ppl are getting to go. All the dishes are full of flavor. My husband enjoy the red snapper dish. It has a mild and sweeter flavor. I ordered the lamb to try bc my son wanted to have lamb for the first time. It was too spicy for him but it was very flavorful and I loved it. The waiter did tell us that it can only be made medium-hot not mild. The butter chicken is "too spicy" for my son but he enjoyed it nonetheless. I did not think it was spicy. The fried okra was delicious. The server did a good job explaining the menu and attentive. The restaurant is clean and has a nice bar. I'm so glad we finally have nice ethnic restaurant in surf city.

Naan compare to Delhi Darling! Wow! Can I give 10 stars? We are so happy to have you in the neighborhood. We had the garlic naan, lamb shishtawook, and chettinad chicken curry (extra spicy!) and it was SO delicious. Seriously some of the best Indian food we have ever had. If you are looking for traditional dishes from different regions, you have to try Delhi Darling. We were so excited to try everything that we forgot to take pictures! But we did snap a photo of the ale.

So excited to have an Indian restaurant back in Surf City, and this place is the real deal! I've been twice, sampled 5 dishes between friends, and everything was delicious. I like my food a little spicy but I don't want it to hurt me (lol), and this place is authentic with the spice!

Best tasting tandoor paneer I've ever had. The sauce is very complex with tons of flavor.

The tandoor paneer is the most flavorful sauce I've had. It's very complex bursting with flavor and the garlic non-was the tastiest non-I've ever had and paired perfectly with the sauce. This is the best Indian food I've had ranging from NY to CA. We will be back.

Amazing beer and decent wine selection

I'm salivating just writing this review but a friend and I stopped by yesterday for lunch. We got…read morethere a little after opening at noon. There were a couple people in for a meal and we were seated right away. Immediately, I noticed how well kept the restaurant looked. Our server asked for any allergies. We both ordered the Butter Chicken and butter naan to share. I also ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and the garlic naan to go, for my husband who's home with our youngest. Our server mixed up my order and brought out the Tikka Masala, apologized and was so kind. He offered to pack it to go and bring the Butter Chicken but I refused - mostly because I knew I'd get some of that chicken later when I'd pick it off my husband's plate. Everything was fresh, tasted AMAZING and bursted with flavors! Both the dishes were well seasoned, creamy and had the right amount of heaviness. Both the garlic and butter naan breads were really great too, but do yourself a favor and go with the garlic! I can't wait to be back. So so so good.

He never introduced himself but he was either the owner or manager. We chatted a little about India and the best time to go. I forgot we also had garlic naan. Not sure why it is $2 more than regular naan but it was tasty. I could not eat all my food so it was a yummy lunch the next day. The place appeared to be clean (never used the bathroom) and had an Indian look but the health score could have been better. We still decided to try it because a friend said it was amazing and we had tried the other Indian place across tow. Have to find the best. Having grown up on Indian food I was very happy with my meal.

It is getting harder to find true Chinese buffets. We do not eat at buffets of any type very…read moreoften--my belt line would not like that, lol! However, this location in Morehead City, NC has been a favorite stop-by location for us for over a decade, whenever we are in town! Usually, several of my kids and I are just coming back from 2-3 days of primitive tent camping on Shackleford Banks, where we have to carry in all our own gear, water, and food, and then carry out all our own trash. As hardcore as that may sound, it is addictive in its own way--an experience one pretty much cannot get any other way. That said, by the time our feet hit the mainland, this restaurant is always the first thought in our minds, as we voraciously zoom towards it. We are usually ravenously hungry by that point, and this buffet becomes almost magical to us, as we dive into its extensive variety of hot, fresh foods (when only hours before our only options for days had been mere tuna packs, protein bars, and various jerky)! Over the years, we have never been disappointed with this buffet. While the building (both exterior and interior) is older, not that well maintained structurally, and thus nothing to rave about; yet the establishment overall is sufficiently clean, and the quality and taste of the food is always the star of the show anyway--and consistently so. Granted, full disclosure, after what we do on that island, probably even a cardboard pizza would likely be an improvement and surprisingly appreciated, lol! Still, I do not believe that our judgment is at all impaired when I state that we always look deeply forward to this place and enjoy it greatly, on our way out of town! It is often sort of a reward for toughing it out on the island with meager subsistence supplies for multiple days before. As such, I am grateful this restaurant is here, hope it stays a long time, and truly wish it well. It is always a nice finish-line for us, particularly after a grueling (yet delightful) hardcore island camping adventure!
