As I just want something simple and quick I decide to give Deli Plus a try. Immediately you can tell that is sort of a Mom & Pop or family type operation. Everything is counter ordered but they will deliver you order to the dining area which sets back sort of separated from the counter by what appears to be a convenience grocery like area. I didn't see any menus except those posted on the wall behind the counter. Under "Cold Subs" I selected their Italian which I thought would be very much like a Philadelphia area hoagie or Italian sub, but it wasn't. When served it had the ingredients but they weren't rolled into the bun. Instead, they were just layered in. White onion tomato and lettuce were just sticking out all over the place. Worse, though it had all of the standard ingredients, the flavors weren't there. I think that may be from lack infused oils such as oregano and the absence of varying vinegars. So, overall to me, it was a very unimpressive sandwich. And of the dining area, I won't mention décor because basically there was none. On the good side, Deli Plus is super friendly as well as clean, neat and orderly. read more

When I first moved back from California, I was looking for an old Jersey pizza/sub shop experience. Unfortunately some of my favorites from the old days have closed, moved or changed to the point that the old authentic atmosphere was replaced with more of a WaWa environment. Then I went to Deli Plus and I knew I was home. When you first walk in the place has that smell of deli meats and vinegar and pizza baking. Authentic. My first order was a cheese steak. One of the best I had in a long time. They made it exactly as ordered and it was delicious. The only better I have had in Millville recently was at Custard Corral, (check out my review.) The staff in Deli Plus are always friendly and willing to go the extra mile.Twice recently I have come in closing time for deli meat and then realized they had already cleaned and turned off the slicers. Although I said it was not necessary, they insisted on dirtying them again to slice my order. It is not the fake friendly that you expect to get at a Chillis or Olive Garden. They are busy and doing their work, but they are always gracious and accommodating and willing to take a minute to appreciate their customers. It's a small place in Millville, but it's now my default stop when I want pizza or bacon/egg/cheese subs. I usually go on Friday nights and get their pizza special. Most times, I have company over so I get about four or five pizzas. They are all different toppings, and they are all good. The wait for the pizzas is no big deal, as it's quite average and reasonable. The wait gives you time to listen to the banter between the staff and some customers who are obviously regulars, too. The toppings, when I've gotten them, have always been generous. I can't recall feeling ripped-off like I have at some other pizza places. I've also liked the subs I've ordered from here, although I've yet to try my gold standard item: a cheese steak. Jersey Jerry's has set a high standard for cheese steaks in this area, so I'm usually not tempted to bother with anywhere else, as every other one has come up lacking in comparison. I'll have to try here, too, and see what it's like. The deli itself has a nice enough seating area. About 8 tables, I think, in two rows. Maybe 10, but I've never counted. I only use one table to sit while waiting for my pizzas. There's a small convenience store area with the typical drinks and chips, and some other odds and ends. An ice cream treats and candy selection sections are near the register, and this is the only place where I've found little bags of plantain chips that are organic and "pure food." That kind of surprised me. If there's a weakness I've found, it's the fries. I don't really eat fries much, but when I do, I like them firmer than I have found eating out. This isn't really limited to Deli Plus, and the other sides I've had such as onion rings and jalapeno poppers have been fine. I don't know if it's just this area, or a common enough thing, but it's weird how little out of the way places can have the best food, at least in my opinion. I'll drive to Deli Plus for a pizza, which is about 15 minutes away from my house, before I drive five to a much, much closer restaurant. read more

I've been going to deli plus for a while with my dad and he is freinds with the founder/owner and he is a freindly guy. They have a deal for Thursday, friday, and Saturday where you can get one large pizza for $8.75 which is when we go there. read more

Delicious breakfast sandwiches here as well as everything else. The inside looks like it needs to be updated but it's clean for the most part. They also make pizza which are mostly made by the two owners. One makes it make it better than the other I don't what he does different but I can taste the difference. We have lived at our home for 8.5 years. This is the closest pizza joint, but had never ordered from here. It's also a convenience store. It being located immediately next door to a Super Wawa, it is not a draw. But for Christmas Eve Gert thought we could give it a try for pizza. She ordered a few and some pizza rolls. The pizza was not great, but we enjoyed the pizza rolls. A few nights later, she sent me out to pick up a couple more and an Italian sub. Pizza rolls were more expensive than I thought they should be ($5.50 or $5.95, I forgot which.). They are decent size though. And they are tasty. The Italian sub was average; nothing great, but not horrible either. I suspect we will have more pizza rolls and perhaps try some other offerings in the future. read more

Overall I like this place. They have the best subs in Millville, and this is coming from a Vineland boy who grew up on the old Crown Market and Giovanni's. They're pizzas and cheesesteaks are decent too. I live very close now, so this is a place I will go at least once a month. My only gripe would be that they're a little bit disorganized. The staff seem to get flustered when they get busy. The pizza area in the back of the store makes the order process a little confusing since you pick up your pizzas in the back of the store, but have to go to the left for everything else. read more

This is my go to pizza when I am in Millville. The ingredients they use seem to be better than most other shops in the area. The wings also are pretty good compared with others in Cumberland County. I have never personally tried a sandwich from here, but I do hear they are really good also. My only complaint is I always seem to have to wait, even when arriving after the estimated time. For the pizza though it is worth the wait. read more
