Reviewed them a while back and boy, how things have changed for the better. The round pizzas are now back to their soft, light deliciousness and the long wait times didn't seem to be an issue anymore. Been ordering weekly for the past 3 months, through all the bowl and NFL games, and didn't have to wait more than 35 minutes at worst. Very soft, thick sauce, absolute perfection. Reliably good pizza, but nothing special. In a particularly bad neighborhood, so I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to go there. We only order from there we get bored with our usual pizza. Take out only. Parking is a drag. It's a busy street in the ghetto. read more

Their square pizza is delicious, would have given them a 5 star but like other yelpers I agree the staff had an attitude and their personality was equivalent to that of a wet rag, kinda made you feel like your bothering them and their doing you a favor by doing their job. read more

I ordered 4 sub platters , 3 Italian and 1 ham sub platter. What I received was late fries were cold, no pickles and not one sub had any lettuce tomato onion or any seasoning no oil or mayo and like 3 slaps of meat and a cheese on a dry roll. I think it is best to rate each aspect of S&J separately. Cleanliness: 4/5 Stars: there is not much to say about the cleanliness. It appears they do a pretty good job of maintaining their cooking and eating space. Space: 3/5 Stars: the space was a good size but there are limited tables to eat at. It appears to be more of a take out spot than an eat in location. Customer Service: 3/5 Stars: When I entered the pizzeria I was given more looks than Miley Sirus on Grammy Night. Finally, after waiting a few minutes for what seemed to be bickering of co workers I was asked what I wanted. With little to no luck on identifying a menu or prices, I asked for your standard large pepperoni pizza. I was kinda given a look at which point I Food: -1/5 Stars: If you live in NJ you expect a certain level of craft when it comes to the pizza being made here. It is clear that this place knows little about taste and quality. The ingredients to start seem as though they were picked up at the local save a lot or shop rite. The pepperoni was thin and tasted like the peppridge farm pre cut slices you find near the cheese. For the extra $3.00 I am shocked and feel completely ripped off! The cheese turned the faint color of gray after it cooled and sat on the counter for 30 minutes which is a clear indication that we probably should force throw up before heading to bed! And finally, the thickness of the pizza was double if not triple what and respected NJ pizza crust should be. Price: 1/5 Stars: This aggravates me slightly upon entering the pizzeria. There was absolutely no menu or pricing anywhere with the exception of a haphazard specials board written on white board tucked in a corner. I basically threw the dice of luck in ordering a basic pepperoni pizza. Final thoughts: 2/5 Stars: this place was a sad attempt at making pizza. It really more like 3.5*s but everyone keeps bad mouthing the neighborhood and location. Rightfully so, sad to report, LoL, but its not all that bad. I dont think anythings going to happen to you from the 3 step walk from your car to the door. Anyway, for me, most pizza spots are alll the same I rarely see or taste the difference between pizza joints but S&J has their own thing going on. I mean talk about consistency, they've nailed it. The crust is great, not sure what it is about it but I always eat it . (and I hate crust). We usually order a party tray which is a huge pizza with a lot of slices (not sure how many). Its almost like a Sicilian pizza, or maybe it is. (see pic) Nonetheless, they never skimp on sauce, cheese, or toppings. It always looks the same and always taste the same. Good. Today my option of them has dropped drasticly. We order food at 4:30 it was not till 6:10 did our food arrive. Because the DRIVER decided to stop and help an old woman with a ladder. Kind as it is our food is now cold and half raw we had to finish cooking of our self. As long as the drivers remember they are WORKING the food is grate most of the time. EDIT: The Owner just called us to say sorry about the delay and under cooked ness of our food. This is how you keep customers coming back. read more

Great pizza, possibly the best in Millville and definitely top 5 in South Jersey. Not sure what other reviewers were talking about because what I expect from a "mom & pop" shop is really good food not becoming best friends especially when they could be really busy with many orders, no time for small talk and ego massages. I will say that now that I have been more of a regular customer the last 2 years we get to enjoy some small talks here and there but I am glad the good food and fast service came first because I may not have taken the time to review. Also what is wrong with people giving a lesser review because you had to park a half a block away?? That extra walk may save your life one day and stop complaining about looks and smiles, if you want small talk and smiles come don't be a pain in the butt and stop expecting something nobody in Jersey does also coming back regularly you are more likely to get that from them but just see it for what it is, a long time running neighborhood pizza shop with good food. read more

I love their pizza - aggggg the sauce! I forgot how yummolicious it is! I worked at S & J as a teenager and moved out of the area in my early 20's. It's been here and there that I have had the opportunity to enjoy a pie from my former place of employment (and btw: I LOVED working there in my teen yrs). Last night, I was in the area with family and I was literally moaning eating my slice of xtra cheese. Brought back a slice for my lunch today and I am savoring every bite! Not sure why I haven't been stopping on my way out of town when heading back to my home to pick up a pie....but I will most certainly start! Thanks for the memories S & J! read more

S & J Pizzeria is BY FAR the best pizza in all of Millville. Their sauce has a great zing to it, the cheese blends so well with the sauce, and the dough makes it hold together nicely. As for catering they are also a go to place as I would argue their catering trays are much better than their regular pizza. That is not to downplay the greatness of their pizza, but more so to go along with it. Yes wait times are long, but I can wait an hour even 2 if it means I am getting great pizza read more

Living in California for the past 12 yrs...I can tell you they cannot make a decent Pizza ! Well maybe one place out of like 20 ..but nothing like East Coast style for sure. Love the party tray pizzas and wings! Use a lot for birthday parties and family events. Location is not fabulous, but they deliver and tend to be accurate with delivery times. Overall, way better than your typical pizza chain take out. read more

First off, haven't eaten here since the early 2000's, but I used to really like it. 1) Food - Good pizza... A cross between regular and sicllian and cut into squares. 2) Price - Can't remember. 3) Service - Can't remember... Good, I guess. 4) Place/Location - If you live in Millville already, what's the big deal? Otherwise, don't leave your keys in the ignition when you go inside to get your pizza. As a side note, I now live in NNJ where everyone thinks they know how to make pizza. I've probably tried over a dozen take-out places without being impressed. So I called S and J two days before, and again the day before my graduation party and set up a $150 order. Specified multiple times the date and time. Called the day of to pay and pick up, and no answer. They had closed. It was memorial day which is why we called and asked 3 times if they were open Monday memorial day. No one wants to have to run around like a crazy person a couple hours before your party starts, but thats what I had to do. Thank God Luigi's was open and saved the day. I don't think we will be going back to S and J any time soon, and if you need a pizza place you can count on, I wouldn't call them either! read more

Pizza is pretty good....especially if you're looking to get away from the cardboard crust of chain restaurants. My family usually does not go here for the pizza though, we go for the wings. These wings are AMAZING! They're deep fried nice and crunchy, yet the meat is still juicy and the breading has a nice kick to it. They serve the sauce on the side so the wings don't get all soggy on your ride home. I did not give it all the stars because like others stated the neighborhood and parking sometimes make this place too much of a hassle. read more
