I went to cut for my hair..My hair was short and just want to trim abit, then one lady cut it for me..they cut me within 5 min and let me finish without cleaning back to my hair all over my face and back. Then i ask another one lady "you do not clean with sponge or powder or blowing with hair dryer' she said we do. After i ask they clean me only few sec and let me go n charge $40. (Actually they not clean properly. Becoz of what i complain)Think about it..it is worth it? i will not go back again. I felt very unprofessional service and not worth it for $40. Cute little barber in the heart of old town La Verne. Plenty of street parking. Staff is very nice and attentive. We've never really had to wait too long for my son's haircut. They treat him so kindly too. It's safe, right next door to the police station. Never thought I'd say I enjoy taking my son to the barber but I enjoy waiting outside on their benches. Great place! In old town La Verne, the barber shop of choice is Delia's. Delia seems to know most of the customers by name and many local residents simply open the shops door to say hi and leave. The shop is always clean and the barber staff has been at Delia's for years. I've been a customer of Delia's Barber Shop since 2004 and the wife has never said,"what happened to your hair?". So, that's a good thing. As rating goes, I struggle with a 4 star rating. The problem is that I've been going to barbers for over 60 years and I've never been to what I consider the 5 star barber. Well, I have been to a few real classy barber shops but the prices are so expensive it takes the rating down to a 4 star. So for Delia's Barber Shop the rating is a wonderful 4 stars. This tiny shop, wedged in between two Asian restaurants, somehow manages to fit in 4 barber chairs...although I've never seen more than 3 barbers on duty at any given time. Delia, the owner, commands chair number one closest to the door. She's friendly and will engage you in a chat while cutting your hair perfectly. Joaquin is quieter but still expert with the shears and will finish the job quick. The other lady is the slowest of the three but still very good and friendly to boot. I don't have too much cause to be in La Verne anymore...my son went to college across the street...but when I do, I always make it a point to stop by and get one of the experts at Delia's to cut my hair. My son is 3, and has tons of crazy hair. He would always cry when we would try to cut his hair. I brought him here, and one of the woman cut his hair. He didn't make a peep or fuss. She did a GREAT job. The man has done his hair, and the other woman as well. Theyve all done a FANTASTIC job. We still haven't had Delia herself cut it, but she is always so friendly and social. On Saturday I called at 5:00 and asked when they closed. Delia told me 5. She then asked who it was for (my 3 yo) and asked where I was located (a few blocks away). She told me to come down and they would take care of him! They stayed open until 530, just for us! Children's cuts are $16 and you have to bring cash or use the atm in the shop ($2 fee). This place is excellent! I have bee coming here for three years. First it was just for me, but now I bring my two little boys here too. They are very friendly and we've experienced good cuts by everyone. My boys like the lollipops. They are very good with kids. This is definitely a barbershop, not advertised as a salon. So I assume that their expertise is men hairstyles. One downside, their prices are a little higher than most mainstream haircut places, but it is because they are in high demand and can ask those prices. Simple rule of capitalism. You will not regret ever coming here. Do bring cash though! They do not accept credit. read more

Her and her team understand that her business requires more than just cutting hair. She builds relationships. The place is clean, the hair cuts are great and she really takes her time. It's always a new surprise every time I go here. It's not necessarily a positive thing, but I've never gotten the same haircut each time I've gone. It is not even because I'm trying out a new style, rather they cut it differently every single time even if I show them the same picture of how I want it. The inconsistency never ceases to baffle me. It is a bit frustrating, but I must say, the man who works there has always left my hair looking fresh. I've been in the process of looking for a new place, and I go back to this place since they do a decent job. Also haven't found a place that I feel 100% confident with. Another thing that somewhat bugs me is the lack of conversation. Every past barbershop I've gone to have always been talkative, friendly, and interested in building rapport. It's hard to do that at this place, because you never really know who is going to cut your hair. Just entering the room and the way you are called up is just awkward. Love this barbershop, coming into the shop I was welcomed my their crew. Very nice people, easy to talk to even with their heavy accent. Ms. Maribel was the one who cut my hair and her work was amazing. She gives you the cut you want and once she is done she styles it and gives you this complete new amazing look!
