I've been driving by Delica for months now, and as it's finally time to start looking for my wedding gown, I made an appointment! I went yesterday at 0100 with my mom and two bridesmaids and I have to say I was glad I did as soon as I walked in the door. The boutique is intimate and beautiful, with a small and carefully selected collection of gowns (mainly from American designers). We were told how the racks were arranged and I gave the consultant, Ashely, a price range so she could direct us to the most appropriate places to look. I didn't want to fall in love with something way out of my budget! Once we had picked out (many) things we liked, we went back to the huge private fitting room. This is one of the things I loved about Delica. There was plenty of space for my entire entourage, a huge three way mirror and a massive dressing room for me and Ashely to get me into the dresses. Ashely was amazing. She helped me step into and out of each gown and gave suggestions about accessories and custom options for each style. She didn't rush us and I never felt pressured at all. I haven't made any decisions yet, but one of my favourite gowns was found at Delica. I would recommend Delica to anyone looking for an intimate, worry free and high class environment. I had the best experience trying on and our purchasing my wedding dress last year from Delica Bridal. I had a few different girls help me during the entire process (Nicole and Ashley!) and everyone was so welcoming and professional. Everything in store is beautiful, my Instagram was flooded with photos of this gorgeous store. I ended up falling in love with the Canadian designer Truvelle. They had a great price point $1800-$2500 approx. And I was able to make small custom changes to my dress to make it uniquely my own. I ordered my dress in February and was able to have my dress rushed to arrive by summer. Delica did everything from making the order process run smoothly, to dropping off my dress at the tailor and even offering a champagne toast once I said yes to the dress! read more

I went to Delica Bridal in December to try on wedding dresses, and I could not have asked for a better experience! This was the third store I had been to, and Ashley was very patient and knowledgeable, and she ties the perfect bow ;) I was there with my mom and two sisters, and Ashley had no problem with us browsing and touching the dresses and them pulling dresses they wanted me to try on (some places don't like this very much), and that made the experience that much better for me because I loved the input from everyone. I found the dresses to be reasonably priced, and even though they didn't have a massive selection, every single dress in the store is beautiful, unique, well-designed, high quality, and honestly just so fantastic. I ended up finding three dresses there that I absolutely loved, and even though I ended up purchasing my wedding dress at another store, it was not an easy decision at all! I would have happily purchased a dress from Delica. I would recommend Delica to absolutely anyone looking for a boutique wedding dress shopping experience, and especially Ashley, who was so fun, patient, and all-around awesome :) read more

I am usually a very decisive person, but put me in a bridal store and tell me to find "the" dress and suddenly I dont know how to function. There are SO many beautiful dresses out there and Delica Bridal carries some of the most gorgeous. I found this shop by my fiance's work and decided to make an appointment. I was intrigued by their brands as I hadn't found them anywhere else in Edmonton but had seen some of them in magazines. The store itself is lovely and intimate. They have a smaller selection of gowns in comparison to some of the other stores I have been to in Edmonton (and I have been to MANY), but all of their gowns are of a certain quality and for me, quality has alway beat quantity. I had a total of three appointments here and all were awesome. The first I went by myself and the help I received was so personalized and friendly. They let me try on as many gowns as I could, didn't kick me out after an hour, and seemed very happy to help. I went back with my mom a second time and was blown away by their willingness to stay late and help us out as my mom is from out of town. The third time I went back was with my mother in law to be, and I narrowed it down to one of two dresses - one being at this shop. Unfortunately, the other dress won in the end and I didn't end up purchases from them. However, I have recommended them to EVERY bride to be I know as they had the BEST service out of anywhere I went. Their dresses range in price - the least expensive I tried on was a Jenny Yoo at 1300, and the most expensive was $2500 (Jenny Yoo, Reverie by Melissa Sweet, Precilla of Boston). I fell in love with an all sequined Precilla of Boston dress that looked dynamite with a black belt with a very funky flower on it. I tried it on many many times and the girls were SO patient with me for doing so. It was a beautiful and unique dress and I would have taken it in a second had my venue been a bit different. Again, can't say enough nice things about the girls here (two sisters own it) and their amazing selection and customer service. I wasn't going to update my review of Delica, but after reading some after-purchase horror stories for other salons on Yelp, I wanted to comment on my whole experience with Delica. My entire experience with this salon was wonderful. From ordering in a sample of my dress from New York, through purchasing, fittings and pick-up, I felt completely taken care of and valued as a customer. After ordering, my dress arrived in four months, and I scheduled a try-on visit before my fittings. My initial try-on didn't go so well - the color of the dress was a different shade of white than I was expecting, and the veil I had purchased from another salon was a total mismatch. When I needed a moment to have a minor meltdown and collect myself, the staff gave me all the time and space I needed, letting me go well past my appointment time. They then offered to buy my veil off me at the price I had paid for it, and sold me a matching veil at a reduced price. The fittings process was excellent. Pricey, yes, but I am so glad I trusted my dress to their in-house seamstress. We spent almost half an hour making sure the hem was correct on both carpet and hardwood, and I didn't ever feel rushed. My alterations were perfect and my second fittings appointment was a breeze. When I picked up my dress before the wedding, it was waiting in a room laid out and steamed for me, and I was shown how to pack it and store it before leaving. My dress was one of the best parts of my wedding, and Delica provided the best level of service for me as a bride. read more

We went into the store a few times to try on numerous dresses and we received very professional personalized service. The store was beautiful and clean with comfortable couches to sit on. I still think this store is really great, but I would hesitate to use their tailor. The in-house tailor quoted me $460 for alterations. I took my dress to another tailor who specializes in wedding dresses [and does alterations for four wedding dress shops in Edmonton] and the quote came to $120. The store could benefit by finding a tailor who is more reasonably priced, and more in line with the prices of other tailors in Edmonton. read more

I am so happy that I was referred to Delica by a friend. They are a newer shop on the south side of Edmonton that I am so glad I checked out. The shop itself is super cute and really nicely done. They have very large private dressing rooms and when you make an appointment to shop for dresses you can tell they aren't clock watching to kick you out for another appointment. That was the first huge positive! They really show genuine interest in your shopping experience and don't give you a count down to the end of your appointment in 15 minute increments like the other shops I had been to. The difference between the dress selection at Delica and the other shops in Edmonton I have been to is stark. The dress lines that they carry are so luxe, and the lines themselves are not the overly common ones that you find everywhere else. While they are not a huge shop with 100's of dresses to pick from, each piece offers something so much more that the standard dresses from Maggie Sottero and the like. The subtle details, the style options, the fabric choice is all so glamorous. The customer service at Delica is also unparalleled. I have purchased my wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses through the ladies at Delica and I am sure I have not been easy on them. As an indecisive and admittedly at times stressed out bride the staff have been extremely patient, helpful, and enthusiastic in providing all the assistance they can to make your dress buying experience as positive as it can be. The day I bought my wedding dress will be forever engrained in my memory because of the superior level of customer service and thoughtfulness that was provided by everyone at Delica. These ladies are knowledgeable about bridal fashion, know the product lines that they carry and offer advice confidently. This really put me at ease knowing I was dealing with a group of people who know their stuff! I visited a number of other stores in Edmonton before being recommended to Delica. This is the place you want to go. The other stores cram so many dresses into their racks that it's completely overwhelming going through their inventory. Delica has a smaller selection of dresses, their selection is well-curated, and for the most part, the quality much better. The girls here will treat you like a princess. The staff was extremely accommodating and were no where near being pushy and creepy like some of the other wedding dress stores I went to. The staff at Delica Bridal is extremely kind and caring. Plus, the change rooms are very large so you'll have lots of room to try on dresses. I live in Calgary and drove to Delica Bridal to pick out a dress with my mom and sister (who live in Edmonton). The staff asked me what style I was looking for and what my budget was. The dresses here are BEAUTIFUL and they didn't want to put me in something I couldn't afford, which would have been heartbreaking! Knowing nothing about picking out a dress, we picked out several different styles and I settled on one right away. The sales team did a great job and handled themselves extremely well when my mom had a 'moment' and kind of openly freaked out a little bit. Haha. My dress arrived a few months later and I went for my first fitting. The dress fit great, though it needs alterations for my small bust. Knowing I live in Calgary, Delica Bridal saved me the time of driving back to Edmonton for alterations & fittings by already having the name and number of a Calgary seamstress they recommend and trust. On top of all of this, the sales staff also provided me with tips on caring for, preserving, and transporting my dress. I've loved Delica for a while now, but after my experience last night I had to write a review! The SA who helped me with my own dress, as well as my bridesmaid's dresses was Jenny - she was super sweet, really helpful, never pressured us and offered helpful alternatives to some questions we had. There was an issue with one of the bridesmaids dresses when they came in (no fault of Delica's, just an unfortunate, panic-enducing situation) and the manager Ashley took the time to meet with me and offer up tons of helpful tips and ideas to make everything work out, and I left the store feeling completely relieved and reassured. Most places don't put that kind of effort into their customers. If you're a bride and you have it in your budget, do yourself a favor and shop at Delica. read more

Delica was my third of four appointments. It was a nice salon and my consultant Jenn was fabulous - if you go I definitely recommend asking for her! She was so honest, nice and helpful!! The dresses at this salon were beautiful but the smallest selection of all salons I have been to. My budget was 2000 and there was very few dresses to fit this price range and even less that could fit on me (I require usually a 14 or up to try on). I did find a dress I loved however it didn't end up being "the dress". Overall great experience with fantastic consultant. read more

Delica Bridal was my first bridal gown appointment and has left me feeling anything but excited. When we first arrived there was no one to initially greet us so we just started looking around. And then we were finally greeted and told the bridal consultant was running behind (ended up being 10 minutes...no biggie). So we continued to look around and picked out dresses ourselves. The consultant was finally free, didn't introduce herself, said did you find any dresses and started pulling them off the rack and brought me to the room. She didn't ask anything about me, what I was looking for or what my budget was. We were then informed that there was only 10 minutes left in the appointment. (Appointment was supposed to begin at 2:00 and is an hour and half). My mom looked at her watch and the consultant was cutting us off at our actual end time (3:30) instead of allowing us those 10 extra minutes she cut in to my appointment with with another bride. None of us were pleased with the appointment and their dress selection is very small. Delica definitely did not make me feel special. read more
