A lot of food for Lunch portion...
    Alan S.

WOW! It's one of Rock Hill's best kept secrets. We stopped in for a Father's Day lunch. Menus were clean, clear, uncluttered, and well printed (something you appreciate as you get older). We had the Mongolian beef, two General Tsos Chickens, and a Honey Peach Chicken. Everything was DELICIOUS. Delicacy Chinese Bistro is our new go-to for Chinese food!

15 years later, just checking in to say that Delicacy is still going strong and serving up the best Chinese fare in Rock Hill!

I came to Delicacy Chinese Bistro after a doctor appointment in the area. I ordered Moo Shu Shrimp with Pancakes for lunch and I took home Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Chicken with Broccoli and BBQ Ribs for dinner. The Moo Shu Shrimp was a first time experience. The ingredients listed was everything that I enjoy. My only critique is that the veggies were overcooked. I added hot mustard and soy sauce for added flavor and spice. I don't send food back. I would order this again but specify lightly steamed vegetables. I thoroughly enjoyed the Shrimp Egg Foo Young. (Just needed to drain the oil ). The bbq ribs I would not order again. I'm originally from New York so I've eaten in Chinatown on Mott Street and there are scores of Chinese restaurants in every neighborhood l'm accustomed to glazed bbq ribs with the bone rather than chopped. My daughter enjoyed her favorite Chicken with Broccoli. I will definitely go back for the Shrimp Egg Foo Young. It had the perfect amount of shrimp. The service was excellent. Staff checked on me frequently to ensure that I had everything that I needed. My tip reflected my appreciation.

I eat a lot of Chinese dishes and on my recent visit to Rock Hill, SC I got a hunkering for some. I stay at the Courtyard by Marriott and one of the employees gave Delicacy Chinese Bistro a good recommendation. Although the interior is somewhat basic, the service (Ian) is excellent and so is the food. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken extra spicy. The dish came out and looked gorgeous. I wish I would have taken a picture before I started eating. They make the best Kung Pao Chicken I've ever had. Great experience.

Been coming here my whole life ever since I was prob 8 years old my stepdad was a food critic and this was his favorite place to eat Chinese everything is always fresh and cooked perfectly you can tell by the color of everything compared to other places it just doesn't compare the employees treat you like family all around best Chinese cuisine around ... some great dishes are the pan fried dumplings/ egg drop soup / crab Rangoons / sesame chicken and the Mongolian beef

I'm on a business trip and two days later I came back to try something new. I already knew their chicken was super tender tasty, so I aimed for another protein. I decided to also try something new. Sa-Cha with shrimp. Don't walk- run to this place. I've eaten lots of Chinese over the years. This place is at the top. I spoke to Ian ( waiter) and asked who was the chef and he said his Dad! Been cooking for over twenty years. EXCELLENT FOOD!

I dined at Delicacy Chinese in Rock Hill, where the experience exceeded my expectations. The restaurant serves American-Cantonese style cuisine, and parking was a breeze--free and ample, a great start to what would be a satisfying meal. Our server, Ian, was attentive from the moment we sat down. He made sure our water glasses were always full and checked in regularly, enhancing the overall dining experience with his friendly demeanor and prompt service. We started our meal with a mix of fried and steamed pork dumplings--six of each. Unfortunately, I couldn't snap a photo of the full serving because we couldn't resist diving in right away. The dumplings were clearly handmade, with delicate, thin wrappers and a perfect balance of flavors. None of that thick, gummy texture you sometimes get with frozen options. They came with a dumpling dipping sauce that complemented them perfectly. One of the highlights at Delicacy Chinese is their lunch combo, which is available even on weekends. I ordered my go-to dish for any Chinese restaurant, the General Tso's Chicken combo. The combo comes with your choice of fried or white rice and a side of either a Rangoon, vegetable spring roll, or--for an extra $0.50--an egg roll. I opted to upgrade to the egg roll, and it was well worth it. This egg roll was packed with pork and infused with flavors of Chinese five-spice and curry. It wasn't the usual cabbage-heavy roll; instead, it was flavorful and satisfying, leaving me wishing I had another. As for the General Tso's Chicken, it was phenomenal. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in a sauce that had just the right balance of sweetness and heat. It's definitely the best I've had in the surrounding Charlotte area, and while I don't have a go-to spot in the city itself, Delicacy Chinese now tops my list of favorites. One of my dining partners ordered the Mongolian beef combo and was equally impressed. The beef was tender, and the sauce was well-balanced--not too sweet and not overloaded with onions, which can sometimes be a problem at other Chinese restaurants. One small note: if you choose fried rice as a side, it's just wok-fried with soy sauce--no veggies or egg. It's simple but works well with the bold flavors of the main dishes. Overall, Delicacy Chinese is my new top choice for Chinese food, and I'm more than willing to make the trip to Rock Hill whenever I have a craving. A word of advice, though: dine in rather than order takeout. The food is best enjoyed fresh from the kitchen, where it's piping hot and full of flavor.

What I don't understand about that, I was ONLY person in restaurant, so not sure how they messed up my order that I gave at the counter. The restaurant itself was clean I suppose, dated maybe, but looks like it gets very few sit down customers.

Despite some of my 5-star reviews in the past, I've noticed some serious inconsistencies in their…read morefoods, as well as jacked up pricing (some with hidden fees). In light of all of these inconsistencies (and unfairness), I deleted all prior reviews. On my past 2 orders of General Tso Chicken, I noticed how they added maybe 3-4 Broccoli to the large order (HUH?!?). To combat their skimpy use of Broccoli, I ordered "EXTRA" Broccoli (with extra charge, of course) this time...and turned out that they managed to add maybe 4 more Broccoli to the order. WOW. On this latest order, the initial charge of this General Tso Chicken was over 16 bucks (restaurant pricing), with the Brown Rice and "Extra" Broccoli. I learned then that they charge you extra for Brown Rice. To me, that qualifies as "hidden fees". I used to think the pricing was really good here, but not anymore! Well, just to bring up this recurring issue of skimpy Broccoli, I called the restaurant...and the rep brought this issue to the kitchen...to which I could literally hear this man (Cook? Manager?) SCREAMING in Chinese in the background. OMFG?!? That was so rude!!! Even he must haven known that the caller could hear all that. I knew I wasn't going to get any money back...I was simply calling to point out their ridiculously stingy use of Broccoli in this dish. I actually got so worked up over this order that I forgot to take any pictures! Well, I had my say...and although I can't understand Chinese, whoever that was screaming bloody nonsense back in the kitchen basically responded in the crudest of manners...by SCREAMING. Again, just WOW. That qualifies as ZERO in customer service LOL! Like I've mentioned in my previous reviews, I've always thought the foods were pretty good at this joint...though honestly, there isn't much of a choice in this town for better Chinese. I've always liked their Singapore Noodle...and even this General Tso Chicken in question is good (I've ordered this several times over the years). However, I remember some seriously disappointing items here as well (really bad Fried Dumplings, for one). It's too bad that they can't stay consistent...and more importantly, fair with their foods (veggie portions?) and pricing standards. Obviously, my opinion of this establishment has changed greatly. Not to say that I'll never order from them again...but I will say that I am now very wary of them. In fact, when able, I plan on checking on the foods and pricing before leaving their premises.

They don't have the ability to take it on their website, and their online delivery and takeout is through doordash. The markup DoorDash is putting on the menu here is obscene. I ordered the sesame chicken dinner, wonton soup and an egg roll. The egg roll was soooooo small...super lint and little. I co my s from a place where one egg roll can be shared by two people. Thick and super stuffed. Forget that. It doesn't exist here. The mini egg roll was dry and you couldn't even tell what was in it. The wonton soup broth had a great flavor but the wontons were not fresh. They were gummy in a creepy kinda way. Frozen with freezer burn was my best guess. The sesame chicken was super super super OVERFRIED. Dry as a bone inside. This had clearly been pre fried and then fried again and dipped in a sticky sauce with weird texture. Kind of tasted like sesame chicken but the texture of the sauce and the dry chicken were disgusting. I spit it out. This place is a nicer version of Panda Express. If you like Panda Express .....bless your hearts than you might love this place.
