You can't really see it very well from here, but it's nice to have this point from afar for those who aren't able to do the full hike

The park offers several manageable hikes and a fantastic "giant sandbox" experience. Top Tips for Parents: Time: Budget 2 full days. This allows you to see the sights without rushing or risking a mid-day meltdown. The Best Hikes: We highly recommend Balanced Rock, Sand Dune Arch (it's a massive hit with kids because of the deep sand play), and The Windows Section. Where to Stay: Stay in Moab. It's incredibly convenient to the park entrance and has plenty of family-friendly amenities. The Visitor Center: Don't skip it! We spent 2 hours there exploring the exhibits; it's a great way to introduce kids to the environment. Essentials: It gets incredibly hot. Pack twice as much water and snacks as you think you'll need.

We arrived midday, and the heat was intense, so we weren't able to hike to many of the arches. Even so, we still saw a lot just from the viewpoints and shorter walks, it's stunning no matter how you experience it. One thing to note: parking at Devils Garden is very limited and can be difficult, especially later in the day. That area is one of the most popular spots in the park. Travel tips: * Go early--ideally at sunrise--and start at the far end (Devils Garden), then work your way back toward the entrance * Bring plenty of water (more than you think you need) * Wear proper shoes--the terrain is uneven and sandy * Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses are essential--the sun is strong and there's little shade * Check if timed entry reservations are required during peak season * Don't rush--plan stops and take your time at viewpoints, even if you're not hiking far Even with the heat limiting our hikes, this was an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely come back--next time earlier in the day!

And it's dog friendly! At the trailhead, there is a small parking lot with a sign that tells visitors to come back later if the lot is full. We arrived just after 8am on a Sunday and found only 3 other cars there. The trail is very clearly marked so you know right where to go. Be sure to stop at the bathroom on your way up if needed. There is also a dog waste station to get poop bags, but you'll need to carry it out with you as there are no garbage cans along the way. The first few minutes of the hike are out in the open-lots of sun and no shade. But quickly you'll find yourself along the river with trees all around you. There is sandstone that you'll hike through-it can be a little slippery. A little further in you'll find that the trail crosses the river. Plan on getting wet even though there are rocks that you can walk across. Keep going and you'll end up at a beautiful waterfall and pool. I'm told there is another further on, but we turned around after this point. We will come back again and see what surprises await us beyond this point.

We were taken up in a large all-terrain vehicle, which added a fun start to the experience. Choosing the 11:00 time slot was perfect--it meant a smaller group, less waiting, and more time to explore afterward. The ride up felt like a mini tour with incredible views and interesting insights along the way. Our group of eight was the perfect size, especially compared to some of the larger groups we saw. Instructions were clear. You are also able to clip in with a harness while watching others jump--great for taking photos of friends with you. Before each jump, the team carefully double-checked harnesses and made sure everyone felt confident and safe. Loved the pull back up, peaceful and quiet. Fun crew, with just enough sarcasm.

This is a must-do for anyone looking to try something exciting, intense, and completely different. I highly recommend it. Also, if you are going to do it, get the drone footage. It is absolutely worth the add-on and captures the experience perfectly.
