This was how we began the rockaneering adventure--we climbed up it. Also how we came back/exited, with ropes.

We used this company two years in a row for canyoneering and both times they delivered top notch service and a great experience. This time, actually, was even better, thanks to guides Kate and Fleur. They were exceptional in their knowledge, demeanor, and handling of the group / skillful and appropriate encouragement of individuals during the climb. We did the rockaneering, which was actually more challenging than the climb we did last year and they were able to get us through it feeling successful and accomplished. The hardest part isn't the physical, after all, and they were great about helping us reach our potential. They were also very safe and thorough, seasoned and skilled. The company provides all the gear for you, including helmets, harnesses, and backpacks. You bring your water and gumption! Good shoes are advantageous, but not required. The guides wore climbing shoes that they could also walk in. I did it in Keen sandals/water shoes, which, although not ideal, were still fine. If I were to use them again, I would wear socks with them, just for better grip. (Keen soles are good--my feet were just sliding inside the sandals a bit.) The others in our group wore hiking boots or trail running shoes. You will not need a hat, because you wear the helmet the whole time. Sunglasses are helpful. We went early in the morning, which is key in the summer, because the weather is great and not too hot. This type of adventure experience is definitely the reason to go to Moab. We would absolutely make this company our first choice for rockaneering in any future visits.

Mike was a great guide for the canyoneering trip. He was a fantastic teacher so we got pretty confident pretty fast. Would definitely come back to do more rappels

We did the family rockaneering with Chandler and it was better than we expected. The kids, 6 and 8, loved the whole experience and by the end felt like pros. It was a bit expensive but worth it for the memories.

Our group went canyoneering in Hypatia Canyon with Jack and Adam from Moab Cliffs & Canyons as our guides. These guys were amazing all around. Such all-stars! They took such good care of our group/clients, were knowledgeable (on safety, geology, flora/fauna and answered all questions), highly skilled, HILARIOUS and such a GREAT time! The day was so much fun! All the gear needed for the day and lunch was provided. We will be returning with clients in the future. 100% recommend.

Highly recommended canyoneering with Moab cliffs & Canyons. We did the "Moab's Best 1/2 Day Canyoneering Trip" We arrived early morning and met our guid CHANDLER. He was super friendly and professional. The rappelling experience was super fun and Chandler was very confident and responsible so we trusted him from the first moment. The hike was easy-moderate and beautiful. Great experience and highly recommended!

Oh my gosh! Super fun and challenging "Rockenneering" experience with Aaron as our guide. Very nice guy with Patience for our group and just very knowledgeable. I feel like having a good basic physical fitness ability would be highly beneficial. We had teens in our group who thought everything was nice and easy and then we had a few in our group (myself included) who thought it was challenging and really pushed us to put out much needed strength. Excellent family time and just a really educational experience all around. Will do again for sure!

This by far one of the most memorable adventures we had in Moab! Our guide was amazing and we felt safe the entire time! Chamisa Canyon was perfect for us (wife and teens included!) and the canyon when there's water is perfect for those mid to late summer canyoneering trips! Inspired us to look into lessons and the whole nine yards!

I've been coming back to this company for the past 6 years and have done 2 canyoneering trips to Sinbad Canyon and 1 rock climb at Ancient Art. Every time has been an extremely fun and pleasant experience that I don't hesitate recommending this company to others. Safety is of utmost priority and communication before and during the trip has been always great. Simon was our guide on my most recent trip and we highly recommend him!

My brother and I did a tour with Cliffs and Canyons. My brother has minor climbing experience and I have little to none. Chandler was the BEST tour guide we could have asked for. He is extremely knowledgeable about climbing and did an amazing job coaching us through each climb. Highly recommend this company and chandler for your trip to Moab!

My FIRST climb, and lucky enough to have Jerome as my instructor. Wow! He had an answer to all my questions, and helped me relax and enjoy. He was VERY patient as I CRAWLED up the rock. This experience gave me desire and confidence to continue this amazing sport. THANKS, Jerome!

Of all the amazing things my group of 8 friends did during a very action packed weekend in Moab, in my mind nothing compares to the experience we had canyoneering. Our guides Michelle & Heather were simply great. I was able to face a pretty strong fear of heights and do a couple spectaclular rappels and then enjoy a beautiful hike out. Safe to say we'll have lifelong memories of this day. -Matt

I climbed with David this past weekend and had a great time. Not only was David extremely professional but incredibly insightful and one of the best guides I've had the pleasure of climbing with.

Did the canyoneering trip to Ephedra's grotto and Morning Glory bridge with the family (girls 14 & 11). It was our last day in Moab and wanted something memorable. We called and they took us in on the last minute too. We are all inexperienced and never rappelled before. Our guide Brett was awesome especially with his calm and soothing "DJ" voice. Instructions are simple and easy to follow. My 11 yr old was starting to become squeamish while waiting for her turn to rappel down but Brett was able to calm her and instruct her how to go down. Great views on top if the Morning Glory Bridge and while "hanging". Hike to and from the place was not bad, nothing too strenuous. Cliffs and canyon gave us one memorable experience!

Moab was at the tail-end of our trip and we had just gone through a pretty taxing rental car issue when we arrived.. so needless to say we were seeking an escape. The town was really lovely, and we were looking forward to meeting with MDA for a climb up Looking Glass. We were introduced to Larry, the manager of operations and an accomplished adventure guide for the company. Larry was just a fantastic guy all around.. polite, funny, he kept us engaged through the whole experience, and even acted as tour guide for us so we could get a good sense of what Moab had to offer. Looking Glass itself was a phenomenal experience. I'm a first-time climber and my friend had some experience under her belt, but we are both in good shape and Larry briefed us on exactly what the demands were for the climb and what we were to expect. After a crash course in harnessing, belaying, and the ensuing climb, it didn't take us more than an hour to summit. Larry was a gem, helped us gather some great photos, and even took us along the scenic route back to show us different sites along the way. The experience was precisely what we were looking for, we wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with Larry again.

I took a group of 12 gals on a 3 day canyoneering/rock climbing excursion with them. From start to finish this trip was fantastic. We booked our trip easily 5 months in advance. we had a large group and specific dates so had wanted to make sure we got the dates that we were looking for. There was not a lot of communication that happened until we got within a couple of weeks from the trip. Then Patrick, the manager of the moab portion contacted all of us via email. We had all of our questions answered promptly and thoroughly. The week before we each got a phone call from Dan the owner of the company, detailing things out for us and asking if we had any specific questions that had not yet been answered. we had been given a detailed packing list in advance. So everyone had everything that they needed and then some ;) Since we were coming in from colorado, they transported all of us via their van from golden to moab. Not having to put all the miles on our vehicles was nice. And just having us all arrive at the same time was great. No worries about where folks were. From the camping spot in moab, they unhooked the trailer and off we went on a adventure! The first day we did some rappelling at a famous arch in the area. Each group or persons expedition will look different. They do a lot of different activities with different folks. There was some hiking involved but it was all good. We did a small rappell. And then a larger rappell. 11 of the 12 had not rappelled before. They supplied all the needed gear. And they were also very patient with everyone in explaining and just helping folks to work through any fears. And answering questions. We hiked to another end of this hike and we were picked up and transported back to camp. The guides let us relax, change clothes whatever we needed to do, and they made the dinner for all of us. This was so appreciated. If you have special dietary needs, they accomodated my daughter and I well. I am gluten free vegan and she is gluten free vegetarian. We had one other person in the group who was dairy free. We were taken care of and had yummy food just like everyone else. This doesn't happen a lot. Many companies dont seem to be able to accomadate special needs, I was thankful and appreciative that they nailed it. And we were able to eat and enjoy. The guides also created a fire for us for that night. The next day we had a breakfast time given to us. They again were making breakfast. It was a hot breakfast, filled with lots of yummy stuff. We got out gear ready for the day and off we went. The next day we did some more rappelling and then some easy multi pitch climbing. This day was long but we got to do a lot of fun stuff. We had a lunch break at a park in between. You will need to bring your own lunch but definitely not a problem. When we were all done for the day, they brought us snacks and then made dinner for all of us again. They also created and tended to the fire for the 2nd night and provided smores and also gluten free treats. The next day was packing up. They had a traditional continental style breakfast. Coffee was always supplied as well for those that are coffee drinkers! They loaded all of our gear into the trailer and from there we went off to rock climb! This was so fun. Lots of varieties of difficulty on top rope lines. Fun was had by all! When our trip was over they drove us back to golden. From start to finish, every thing ran smoothly and was fantastic. Thank you front range climbing!! I will definitely be back with a group in the future! you guys are amazing! And just a note dont forget to tip your guides! She was hilarious, incredibly knowledgeable, and kept us laughing all day with river guide stories and jokes. One of our favorite parts was when Molly pointed out a Padlé Oarefish. We'd never even heard of one before! She explained they're unusually flat fish, most commonly yellow with blue, red, or pink accents, and they're surprisingly well camouflaged along the river. Such a cool thing to learn! She also showed us a rock formation that looked exactly like Winnie the Pooh wearing a beret and breathing fire. Once you see it, you can't unsee it! The wildlife was unbelievable. We saw bighorn sheep, three otters, geese, blue herons (mud flamingos), a baby deer, a fox catching a fish, and a huge eagle nest. Molly said we're officially her lucky group because they usually only see a couple of those animals, and she'd never seen the deer or the fox on a trip before. Lunch was fantastic too! The "conewiches" were surprisingly delicious. We were a little hesitant because we'd never tried Mediterranean food before, but the homemade Mediterranean salad with feta and kettle chips folded into a tortilla absolutely rocked. I'm still wishing I had Molly's recipe! If you're thinking about rafting in Moab, book the Fisher Towers trip with Red River Adventures. If you get Molly as your guide, consider yourself lucky. You'll leave with great memories, sore cheeks from laughing, and probably a newfound appreciation for the rare and majestic Padlé Oarefish. Oh, and I t's officially Hank's Bubble Bath in our book.
