Beautiful and huge arch. It blends into the background at first and admittedly I didn't even notice it right away. Once you see it, you won't be able to unsee it. Almost like one of those autostereogram optical illusions. I love this arch. Very enjoyable hike. I highly recommend. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms at the trailhead. Don't forget to stop by Mufasa Rock on the way to Landscape Arch. See Mufasa Rock in one of my photos. It really does look exactly like the Lion King character.

Beautiful giantic arch found on the devil's garden hiking trail. About a mile into the hike and at the end of the gravel trail. This arch actually looks like it is framing the trees that are under it. This arch is a must see. The trail is fairly easy with no really steep areas. If you want a really clear picture and to really get an idea of how massive this arch is, continue along the sand path to the very end. Also a good idea to take a break here and enjoy the view before trekking back. Bathrooms are only found at the entrance of the trailhead. See this arch if you get the chance!!

The landscape arch is one of the widest (306 ft) and largest arch in the world! This 60 ft high arch was recently developed in 1991. It has been protected and fenced off from the public from potential collapsed. The hike is an easy 1 mile and you can't miss the massive arch as you walk along the Devils Garden trail. Make sure you come early in the day. I would stop by to see this arch first before you head further out into the trail to see the other arches. You can spend a whole day here and there is plenty more to see. This is a must see and I would recommend to bring plenty of water and wear plenty of sunblock. Bring some snacks too if you plan to spend the whole day here.

The history is cool but this arch is not as scenic as some of the others. The hike to get there is great - very sandy though.

The park offers several manageable hikes and a fantastic "giant sandbox" experience. Top Tips for Parents: Time: Budget 2 full days. This allows you to see the sights without rushing or risking a mid-day meltdown. The Best Hikes: We highly recommend Balanced Rock, Sand Dune Arch (it's a massive hit with kids because of the deep sand play), and The Windows Section. Where to Stay: Stay in Moab. It's incredibly convenient to the park entrance and has plenty of family-friendly amenities. The Visitor Center: Don't skip it! We spent 2 hours there exploring the exhibits; it's a great way to introduce kids to the environment. Essentials: It gets incredibly hot. Pack twice as much water and snacks as you think you'll need.

We arrived midday, and the heat was intense, so we weren't able to hike to many of the arches. Even so, we still saw a lot just from the viewpoints and shorter walks, it's stunning no matter how you experience it. One thing to note: parking at Devils Garden is very limited and can be difficult, especially later in the day. That area is one of the most popular spots in the park. Travel tips: * Go early--ideally at sunrise--and start at the far end (Devils Garden), then work your way back toward the entrance * Bring plenty of water (more than you think you need) * Wear proper shoes--the terrain is uneven and sandy * Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses are essential--the sun is strong and there's little shade * Check if timed entry reservations are required during peak season * Don't rush--plan stops and take your time at viewpoints, even if you're not hiking far Even with the heat limiting our hikes, this was an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely come back--next time earlier in the day!

And it's dog friendly! At the trailhead, there is a small parking lot with a sign that tells visitors to come back later if the lot is full. We arrived just after 8am on a Sunday and found only 3 other cars there. The trail is very clearly marked so you know right where to go. Be sure to stop at the bathroom on your way up if needed. There is also a dog waste station to get poop bags, but you'll need to carry it out with you as there are no garbage cans along the way. The first few minutes of the hike are out in the open-lots of sun and no shade. But quickly you'll find yourself along the river with trees all around you. There is sandstone that you'll hike through-it can be a little slippery. A little further in you'll find that the trail crosses the river. Plan on getting wet even though there are rocks that you can walk across. Keep going and you'll end up at a beautiful waterfall and pool. I'm told there is another further on, but we turned around after this point. We will come back again and see what surprises await us beyond this point.
