Only thing I don't like is the price. $30 per person foe only 2 hours at 9pm is crazy. Also, we needed towels and had to leave an ID and when we were thru with the Hot Springs the last at the front desk was nowhere to be found. Called the number provided MULTIPLE times and went straight to voicemail. We waited for nearly an hour thinking someone was going to return to the front desk. No luck. Well, it's now called Death Valley Hot Springs. My favorite hot springs because it's the only one with an "open" pool as far as I know. Everywhere else in town only have small, "private" spas to soak in. DVHS also has private little soaking areas, fyi. Great staff, reasonable prices. Can't wait until the restaurant opens again. Two negative experiences in Tecopa on the same weekend. Mother's Day weekend, and my wife tried to go out there twice to soak with a friend who was camping there. We drove out during the week first with my son and myself in the car only to be told that to even be on property my son and I would need to spend $35 to sit there and wait for my wife to soak even if we were only there for an hour or two. Essentially charging us $105 for my wife to go soak for an hour. The staff was actually unfriendly. We drove an hour and 45 minutes out and drove an hour and 45 minutes back and fortunately at least we had a positive experience with the pizza in town. I'll leave that review separately. read more

We love it here and after my last review I was feeling so nostalgic I booked another stay on a whim and we had such a great time. We usually stay in one of the cabins or the motel but nothing was available except the Rustic Cowboy Mobile Home which looked... interesting. Despite the wild decor and funky vibe, it was more spacious than the cabins and quite cozy. Of course, we spent almost all our time in the hot springs but had no issues with the accommodations, although we always bring our own pillows and larger towels. As usual, the staff is genuinely happy to see you and gives great detail about the property and pools. There's WiFi in the office but we didn't bother with it because part of the joy of being in Tecopa is the opportunity to disconnect from the world for a while and truly relax. We spent many hours in the large pool, you can see ALL the stars at night and it's quiet, but not creepy, you'll hear frogs happily ribbiting in the distance and occasional conversation from other guests. We truly adore this resort and the people who make it possible for us to stay. It's quaint and doesn't take itself too seriously. And although it's a barren, dusty desert, they work constantly to ensure everything is clean and all guests enjoy their time there. The restaurant / brewery onsite is wonderful too! read more

After a long motorcycle ride, 40+ mph winds and low temps encouraged us to rent at Delights versus camp. We got a really old 1960s double wide trailer for 180.00. The trailer was clean and comfortable, but also moldy and not sealed real well. It was like a resort in comparison with sleeping on the ground that night but was a strange experience. The pools were nicely heated. Don't expect good wifi here. More like try-fi. read more

Delight's Hot Springs - Cottonwood tree outside Cabin 3 - Resorts Near Me - Tecopa, California

Know that it's a rustic set up and that the desert and time is quite rough on this establishment. With that being said, it's worth a visit to their beautiful communal pool and four private smaller soaking rooms. There is a myriad of accomodations and room/building styles. We stayed in cabin8 and it is a mix of some updated and lots of vintage touches. The shower handles and the set up is something I never experienced before. I enjoyed brushing my teeth in the trough/industrial sink right outside of the bathroom. I know they have other styles and levels of rooms to choose from. The lobby building inside smells like lavender. Best location for wifi. Interesting experience but I will explore their other room options for my next visit. Lots of RVs here. Also, lots of Korean speaking visitors enjoying themselves here so it has to be good. read more

If I can give it zero stars, I would Been coming here for over 10 years and now this place is ruined. My experience yesterday is unforgivable. I only did they raise the price, but they didn't tell us that one of the baths which is my favorite number three is under renovation i'm OK whatever but none of the other baths have been taken care of. I went into number two and it smelt like sewage. I instantly got out and washed myself as much as I can. The floor was Mossey green. The water was cloudy. I took full videos of everything. This place is falling apart and they said they're under renovations, but the deck you walk under is collapsing. I went and I explained to the staff about my concerns and I wanted my money back because I drove two hours. She says everybody drives two hours. They were very rude and I was being polite. I wanted my $35 back and they would not give it to me. I would never come back here again. read more

We came here based on other reviews and to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The hotsprings themselves were great. 5/5 Stars. There are 4 private rooms/hot springs that's first come first served for 20 min periods. 3/4 have netted ceilings, and one is open air. Perfect for stargazing. The community pool/springs has 4 jacuzzi like tubs that connect to the main pool. The water was nice and hot in the Jacuzzis and private rooms. The pool was cooler and refreshing after a soak in the hot water. The lodging, on the other hand, was pretty bad. We booked the sandpiper trailer, and based on photos, it seemed alright at the time of booking. Little did we know that those photos were from 2000. The trailer itself was pretty old. You can open any of the windows. The bathroom had the shower removed, so you need to use the 1 public shower they have. The air conditioner in the bedroom was broken, so being in the middle of the desert in summer was tough. The air conditioner in the living room worked, though. The water pressure was lacking, and the water that came out of the faucet and toiled was green... it was pretty gross. There's a Fee if you don't wash your dishes. However, they don't even give you dish soap. So the plates were washed in green water. The furniture inside was old and uncomfortable. The couch was falling apart. At least the place was pretty clean, not completely clean, but pretty clean. That's the only positive here. This would be an amazing trip if the lodging was a little better maintained. I can't speak for the cabins, but this specific trailer was bad. read more

The night shift cleaner asked to give me a massage at 1am while I was soaking alone and trying my best to ignore him. (2/6/25) He kept saying really weird things to me like that he wanted to take me to Colorado where he's from and saying "you can never really know who's a good person and who you shouldn't trust". Then he asked me if I had a gun for protection because he knew I was a solo woman traveler. He made me SUPER uncomfortable, being as it was the middle of the night and I was all alone. He stood at the side of the pool with his hands in his pockets and stared directly down at me without looking away for about 30 min. I was even wearing headphones and told him I wouldn't be able to hear him and floated with my back towards him but he still came over and sat on top of my towel and continued trying to talk to me. I had a feeling he might swipe my phone or something for photos. I moved over to one of the hot tubs at the side of the pool to escape him (despite having a sunburn) but he still came over and sat on my towel again and continued saying weird shit to me. The final straw for me was when he asked to give me a massage and if we could "be friends". For the last time.. I took out my headphones and swam over to him and said "did you hear me earlier when I said I have a boyfriend?" He then pointed at his ring finger (I didn't even see a ring on it) and said "don't worry, I'm married. I just get bored out here". I was so absolutely creeped out and have never been so sure I was speaking to a sex offender. Thank god I actually had a little bit of service to text my friends and send them my location. The only reason why I stayed was because there happened to be a bunch of people camped right next to me and I had just drove 1.5 hrs to get there after canoeing 8 miles through a windstorm earlier that day. I was so tired. The next morning, I asked the solo woman camper next to me if she had any weird experiences with him since I saw she was also out late the night before and she said "oh yeah, he's weird." Apparently a nudest couple had been swimming before I got there and the lady got so creeped out because he was standing there staring straight down at her just as he did to me at 1am! I'm putting this all on yelp because I have no doubt that the management already knows how he is since it's so blatantly obvious and the guests are noticing. Maybe it's just best that I put this here so everyone can just watch out. I hear the new owners have made this place all ages now, which is fucking terrifying. Watch out!!!! I'm so sad about the changes there. I keep giving it more tries despite all the new reviews from people in the hot spring community but this was fucking terrible! read more

Came here for my first time and I will definitely be coming back. Met Spence at check in. He is very nice and helpful. I didn't get the name of the clerk at the counter,but, he was also very nice. Did the day visit pass. Started in the private pool first. Water was nice and clean. It was warm but not hot. I wanted warmer water so I stayed close to the pipe where the water flows out of. Next, I went to the large "public" pool. This is the bomb! Main portion of the pool was warm, put, there are several small jacuzzi sized pools connected to the main pool. These are much warmer and they feed into the main pool. It was nice to have options the move around between heat levels, I could move and stretch and work out my sore muscles, and talk with my friend and others. The day turned put to be so relaxing. Prior to getting there, I was concerned about how cold it would be because it is winter. Luckily, the weather was perfect, about 60 degrees at mid day. Wind was not a factor until later in the day, but, it didn't last long and it was light. Drive from Vegas was about 1 to 1 1/2 hours ( China Ranch detour). Roads were good and great views. Just be careful, as the turn off signs to Tacopa are small ( not like large highway signs that I'm used to), they don't give much advance notice to the turn off and limited or no wifi/cell service...so no driver direction help from apps. I recommend at visit to China Ranch. Great drive and coffee date shake! I brought: my own food, drinks, and snacks. The 2 restaurants in Tacopa were closed on Wednesday. Swim suit, towel, slippers, shower supplies and change of warm clothes for the drive back home. My body feels better, swelling and pain in my hands has gone down. It's been about 24 hours since my visit and I can still open and close my hands with very little to no pain. So happy right now read more

This is the hardest thing i never expected id do. Ive been going to this place since 2003. My fav oasis just outside vegas. I went tonight the 20th of march 25. CA regulations have destroyed this place. Couple that with new management and its all bad. 104 degrees is not a *hot* spring. Its a warm spring. No health benefits to be had. I measured bath 4 at 102 degrees. You cant claim *hot* and charge premium prices for barely over body temperature tubs. That ties in to the other issues. Bath 4 had green algae in the floor of the soak tub. Was slippery to the touch. Bath 3 was mid renovation. No mention of it at the desk and the highest price ive ever seen. 35 bucks to visit for the evening. The experience was so terrible and the water smelled so bad. Myself and my friend decided to bail after just 1 dip. We brought this to the staffs attention and they basically cared less. No sympathy shown at all. Unbelievable. At this rate it wont be around much longer. It offers nothing to those in search of what it once provided. Again i love this place...so it saddens me to post this at all. read more

I have very mixed reviews about this place simply because of how interesting and unique it is, versus my stay/experience. The good: the hot springs were HOTTT. We enjoyed relaxing in the private hot springs as there were multiple rooms. Although not everyone adhered to the standard time inside, we found ourselves able to get into a hot spring with little wait time. We also enjoyed the community hot spring pool and jacuzzi areas. We got to meet people from different parts of CA & NV that were here for the long weekend and it was a great time chatting during the day, and speaking quietly while looking up at the stars at night. There is a small enclosed area with picnic tables in which you can eat lunch/dinner that is very clean, which we enjoyed! The stargazing at night is unbelievably beautiful! In addition to the hot springs that was my favorite part! What can be improved: Our stay in one of the trailers was.........Mind you, we travel and camp a lot, and sleeping in our car while cross country driving is our norm. I definitely wanted to sleep in our car that night. Upon entering the trailer, it smelled like piss. (Come to find out it was the mattress cover that wasn't washed...and they told us that the people before us had a dog. Totally fine with pets as long as you take the time to clean the linens! Didn't offer to change anything afterwards when we explained the situation, just gave us some deodorizer spray and we left the cover outside on a picnic table) Cobwebs/spider webs and dust were all over the windows and corners of the trailer. The windows don't open so the ventilation was non-existent, keeping the muggy air inside. Much of the upkeep wasn't great, including the floors, so we wore our shoes inside at all times. Stains on the couch, couch pillows, and chair made me feel pretty grossed out & scratch marks on the walls made me feel a bit unsafe. Some of the lightbulbs inside were not working, in addition to some of the light switches. Although we enjoyed having our own toilet and the kitchen area, there was no shower, so we opted for the communal ones near the main building. Overall, I liked the layout of the actual trailer because of the amenities, but I wished it had been cleaned and maintained better. It is located in Tecopa, so be weary that there aren't many food options nearby other than the one brewery & bbq spot down the road. We packed most of our food in and out :) Also, there isn't much cell service, so bring a map/download your map and know your directions. We came from Death Valley, which made it easy going in, but once there and leaving, be sure you know how to get out as your maps app probably won't load. We already knew which direction we were going so it was quite easy, but just a tip for those who find navigation challenging. Overall, I may be back for the hot springs because they really did feel amazing, but will opt for only a day pass or to stay only in my own car. (I did see that you can pay to park, which is what some others did with their buses and RV's!) read more

I've stayed at Delights 10 times with both my pop-up camper and renting cabins but the last visit was enough to never go back. We rented a cabin and, starting from 11.30 pm till about 1.45 AM. there was non-stop ruckus at the entrance area of the facility; cars coming and going, loud noises, a U-haul hauling a car trying to get past the reception area, then backing up down the street, all while someone was outside yelling out direction. The noise was so bad, we could not sleep. It was just terrible. A group of 6 came to check in around midnight. They were yelling, slamming doors, repeatedly pressing their key FOBs to lock doors (why, who knows?) and in general being very disrespectful. The commotion was so persistent that I had to leave the cabin and confront them myself, which was very uncomfortable. Eventually they quieted down, but not after another half hour of nonsense. Remember, this is in the middle of nowhere. Pretty uncomfortable situation. The next morning, we reported what happened to the front desk. They apologized, confirmed it was very loud the prior night, and also volunteered that the new night watch employee was new and didn't know what she was doing yet. The manger Brandon took down our information, said he would talk to the guest that came in late, the night manager, and then call us. He never called. Instead, the manager emailed us the next day and called us liars. We were trying to be helpful and they lost a long time customer. Delights used to have an experienced nighttime security/groundskeeper named Allen who was great and took care of any issue immediately. I've been camping there when people would show up late at night, sneak in to soak or cause trouble. These issues were always taken care of. Now they don't have this person. If you have any issues at night with unruly guests or unwelcome visitors, you're on you own, as evidenced from our experience. In addition, the facilities are much shoddier than they used to be. You'll see if you visit. But I recommend you don't. read more

I was definitely very skeptical of this spot when I made the reservation. But boy was I wrong. I wanted to bring in my 30th birthday in a special and different way, and this was perfect. This place isn't to be confused with Tecopa Hot Springs. It's across the street. But I'm glad we chose this spot instead. From beginning to end it was a wonderful experience. Jesse greeted us and gave us a great tour. Honestly all of the staff were super sweet and welcoming. The views are to die for. And the hot springs are perfect. Disclaimer: know what you're getting into. There's no service (we live in Vegas and wanted to get off the grid so this was great). You literally all in the middle of nowhere. Two (barely) restaurants. With very limited options. The accommodations aren't fancy. You're in the desert. We stayed in the Sandpiper trailer and it was perfect. Reminded me of my camper growing up. It even had a dvd player so we could unwind and watch movies at the end of our trip. The amenities: you have the option of hanging in the pool (brand new pool area that was AWESOME). About 96 degrees. Or the hot springs hot tubs. 102ish degrees. We spent on evening out there. Under the stars. Around 2am we went into a private tub room. The murals on all the wall are gorgeous. (Id post more photos but I was naked and that was such a freeing feeling). I could see the stars. And it's open 24/7. So we stayed In there pretty late. We then got to watch the sun rise which was magnificent with the mountains. My only qualm is the pricing. I feel it should be a tad lower in price for what you get. But hey, for this kind of escape, it was worth it. Also - there's a no refund policy. Even for something like Covid. We were fine but that was a bit of a worry. Either way, im just sad we didn't stay longer! Will definitely be going back. read more

Wow to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. It's actually DISGUSTING and UNSANITARY here. Pictures are pretty self explanatory, we informed the staff and they stated that there is no cancellation or refunds. Basically they didn't care and they are accustomed to people complaining. It's also a common place for swingers, which my friends and I did not know before coming here. However, you can tell by the upkeep of the pools that they are filthy. I can't say enough good things about this place! The only bad thing is that it took me so long to write this review! ;) I am so thankful that I found this resort. I was looking for a quick weekend getaway for my birthday and a holiday weekend and called Delight's as they were close to Death Valley, which was my last-minute destination. Funny enough, I have never been to a hot springs, and along with Death Valley, this was also on my bucket list. I spoke with Courtney who was so kind and helped me plan my trip. She told me about several parts of Death Valley that would be worth visiting, which was so helpful as I didn't have a map and have never gone to the park before. She informed me that they only had one room left and warned me that it wasn't the nicest, but assured me that it was clean, and to me, that's all that matters. I followed the plan Courtney and I discussed, had a wonderful time in Death Valley, and got to the resort after sunset. Nevin was working the night I arrived and he was super nice and welcoming. I carefully inspected my room, which, as warned, wasn't super fancy, but it was spotless. I'm kind of a neat freak so me saying this is a big deal. There were no hairs, no bugs, cold AC. As a bonus, I also had a kitchen and fridge, which was nice to cool the waters that I brought (Courtney warned me that there wasn't water on site as all the water is from the hot springs). The bed was comfortable and I couldn't have been happier. After settling in, I relaxed in the wonderful hot spring pool and hot tubs. After the pool and hot tubs, I enjoyed watching the stars in one of the private bathhouses that has an open roof. It was an amazing and relaxing night. The next day I went back to the pool, hot tub, and bathhouse to do it all over again. Met some really nice people and enjoyed the hot weather and the hot springs. It was one of the best weekends and experiences I have had and am thankful to everyone at Delight's for helping make it great! Everyone at this resort was super nice and helpful and I will definitely be returning sooner than later. :) read more

The location is great for sightseeing around Death Valley. We enjoyed sunsets and gorgeous views all around. We had a room and also had a tent site. It was fun for the whole family. Loved this place!! Such a cute little stop on our way to Zion. We only stayed for one night to break up our drive. It was about 120 degrees when we arrived so we didn't go in the hot springs but the pool was super refreshing and perfect temperature. If you like pools on the cooler side it might be too warm for you because they feed it with the hot spring water, but they make it as cool as they can. I thought it was perfect, especially at sunset! We had the pool all to ourselves, I'm assuming it's off season for them since it's so hot in that area this time of year. There's no cell service out there, but they do have wifi. The wifi goes in and out but it's better than nothing. Make sure you go with a full tank of gas because there's no services for about 30 miles. The rooms were pretty clean, but no showers so just be prepared for that. They do have showers in the private hot spring rooms if you really need to shower. The doors to the private rooms lock, so you have lots of privacy in those rooms which is nice. We dunked our feet in the hot spring bath but it was way too hot to get all the way in. I hope to stay here again during the fall or winter! Staff was super friendly and welcoming. I forget the name of the man working the front desk, but he was great! If you want something remote and off the beaten path, this place is for you! Only reason I'm docking a star is because the ACs weren't as strong as we'd hoped and it was a little hard to fall asleep because it was still pretty warm in the rooms even with AC on full blast all night. We stayed in the queen cottage number 3 and kept the bathroom door shut to keep the cool air in, but since there was no door to the kitchen area it didn't help keep the cool air confined to our little room. We stayed here for a weekend trip to Death Vally. It was the only place remotely close that had availability. We booked and paid for, 2 nights. I would like to start this review by stating Death Valley does not have cell phone reception. We checked in on Friday and Saturday morning we woke up early to get a head start at Death Valley. We had just finished a 10 mile hike and decided to check out the visitor center and to check messages/emails as that is the only place that has reception. We received a voicemail from Delight's Hot Springs to tell us we were delinquent with our payment for Saturday and that they were packing up our stuff and putting it in the lobby. We were so confused and upset we left the park early and rushed back to the motel. We found out that they had over booked and gave our room to someone else and moved our stuff out and placed it in the lobby. After a few hours they realized their mistake and moved our stuff from the lobby to a dilapidated room. They tried to blame it on booking.com and said the website didn't have us in 1 room but instead in 2 rooms. We called booking.com and they said they do not decide which rooms we are in, they only reserve us for 1 room 2 nights. It is up to the hotel which room they put us in. This was a big screw up on the motels part and they did not own up to it. We had refrigerated food items, that were left out in the desert heat, along with all our personal items and luggage. We had to throw all the refrigerated items away, we had brought our own silverware, which they kept. They were incredibly unprofessional, they left a demeaning voicemail that was accusatory and not factual (considering we had an email confirmation stating we paid for 2 nights). Strangers touched our personal belongings and had zero regards for our refrigerated items. I did not feel comfortable staying at this motel especially in the dilapidated trailer they moved us to. So we decided to drive 3.5 hours back home at 8:30 pm. We still have not received a refund for our second night. I highly do not recommend this motel. Go elsewhere. The accommodations are terrible, old and Very basic. Save your money, you are better off sleeping in a tent. read more

Not what it used to be. They now put CHLORINE in the springs tainting its minerals and painted over all of the beautiful murals. Adding chlorine to springs reaps the water of its natural and healing benefits. They added whiteboards so you can track how long people have been soaking which lead to annoying knocks right at the 30 minute mark expecting you to be out and changed. I've been coming here all of my life and this is the biggest disappointment of the year!!!! Wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE read more

I have been coming here since 1984. I have seen this place transition so many times through the years and it is restful peaceful meditative place. Except for now they allow children here and babies and these people are changing poopy diapers on the pool deck and they're not taking their baby to go take a shower or anything just putting them back in the pool!! I spoke with the owner ABS he just said sorry this is how it outs now. This is insane. This is completely insane and it completely ruined the vibe of this place ruined it. This is not a place for children. This is a sacred sanctuary for adults to be away from children! with this new thing, are they gonna allow people to scrub their feet in the pool again too ....? We wanted to visit Death Valley (and see stars, but the weather put a stop to that), but all the accommodations there were price-y. Google suggested Delight's Hot Springs, so we booked there. Since we planned to spend most of our time in DV, the pool and tubs were less important to us than to others. We just wanted a place to spend the night. We stayed in the Sandpiper trailer for three nights, starting a month to the day after Jessie P.'s review. We found it in quite a different condition than she described. Here's what I wrote on their "how was your stay" card: Front Office Staff: Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor -- Good Housekeeping Staff: Good Cleanliness of Room: Excellent Room Maintenance/Condition: Poor Overall Hotel Rating: Good Comments: The bed was comfortable, otherwise "Overall Hotel Rating" would have been Poor. Front Office Staff: Good They tried to help with the Sandpiper trailer, but failed. Housekeeping Staff: Good Never saw them, but trailer was clean, towels and soap were there, coffee was there, dishes were clean and stored. They get the benefit of any doubt. Cleanliness of Room; Excellent See above. Room Maintenance/Condition: Poor Five of the thirteen overhead lights were inoperative. A sixth flickered and failed. Staff said they were an oddball brand, not easy to obtain replacement. Biggest problem: WATER WAS NO MORE THAN A TRICKLE. EVER. And the water we got had a musty odor. Staff determined that the problem was in the trailer's pressure regulator, not outside pressure, but they were unable to fix it. As a result: We could not shower (in the trailer). I made the reservation for my yearly trip with my oldest daughter, I rented the 3 bedroom house (#18) When I got to the house the refrigerator drawers and shelves were dirty. The dishes were put away dirty. Baseboards had built up dust and dust bunnies in the closet. Floor hadn't been mopped. You could tell it had been 'spot mopped' the exhaust fan above the stove had grease buildup so bad that it looked like it might drop down at any moment, the oven was dirty. The kitchen didn't have a variety of cooking utensils or dishes. I went to the office to ask for cleaning supplies and the gentleman Raul (sp?) came right down and washed out the drawers and shelves of the fridge. He was very kind and apologetic. We stayed two nights for about $710.00 the least I expected was a clean place to stay. Definitely not worth the $$ read more

Absolutely terrible experience. My elderly godmother, who is not a fluent English speaker but can get by, visited this hot springs on Sunday, 10/20/2024, and was treated with complete disrespect. She arrived around 3:15 pm and was told to purchase a $35 day pass, which seemed reasonable at first. However, the problems began soon after. At around 3:35 pm, someone knocked on her door to check if she was okay, which seemed polite. But at 4:10 pm, someone knocked again, this time telling her she needed to leave because someone was waiting for her -- an outright lie. My godmother, thinking her family had arrived early (when they weren't supposed to meet until 5:30 pm), hurried to get dressed and rushed out, only to find no one was waiting for her. Understandably, she was upset. She confronted the staff about this, and they claimed there was a rule about getting out of the pool after 30 minutes and also there were 7 people waiting. My godmother was already pacing herself because of the heat, and getting in and out of the pool in 20 minute increments, despite not having been informed of this strict timeline. And she did not understand why she was being kicked out for 7 people. When she raised the issue with the staff, they were rude, dismissive, and gave her condescending looks. One staff member even told her, in a snide tone, to go back in for another 30 minutes if she wanted, despite her having an all-day pass. The situation escalated, and she was taken to the office where a heated conversation ensued. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the staff spoke down to her and continued to be rude. When I called a couple of days later, to address what had happened, I was met with more of the same unprofessionalism. I spoke with the head manager named Spencer, who not only interrupted me constantly but also had the nerve to imply that my godmother "likes to yell." When I told him not to tell me what my godmother "likes to do" he interrupted and said "your godmother tends to get upset and she likes to -- " Naturally, I cut him off and had to defend my godmother. This escalated into an argument where we were both raising our voices, and Spencer continued going on the offense, repeatedly questioning whether my godmother and I spoke English and repeatedly yelled over me and saying "What do you WANT?!" and "Is that all you heard out of this whole thing? Is that all you heard?!!! Do you speak English? Does she speak English?!" instead of having a constructive conversation. I tried answering his questions, but he ignored me and kept repeating himself. Spencer became increasingly aggressive, hanging up on me multiple times and refusing to transfer me to someone else. His behavior was not only disrespectful but also incompetent. I informed him that I would be writing reviews about this appalling treatment, and honestly, looking at other reviews, it seems this place has a pattern of poor customer service and facility management. There may very well have been a misunderstanding, due to a language barrier, as Spencer initially mentioned at the start of the call. However, based on my own experience with Spencer, I believe that the staff are responsible for their behavior and disrespected my godmother. Spencer could not get himself to hear me out during today's call, and was argumentative. I can only be led to believe that my godmother was treated the same way, with disrespect, combative and argumentative tones, irritation, and impatience. Stayed in one of the cabins very clean loved that our cabin had a BBQ grill and a picnic table we spent most of our time in one of the private hot springs room clothing optional loved that you can star gaze thru the open rooftop. Staff were super polite. We were bummed to find out the bicycles that are free to ride had all flat tires they looked like they had been flat for a good while. Second time here and loved it. For people who are staying for a few hours, the hot springs is open from 8am to 5pm (not 8pm). There are about 4 private pools and all have locks. On a busy day they ask for you to rotate every 30 minutes (so if you see a lot of day-ers I suggest carry light into the pool area and go to your cars if you need something). There is a man/woman bathroom with a shower. You can change in there but there is only one bathroom, so changing in the locked pool is best. There are showers in each rooms. Some people complained it's too hot, but for my family and me, it could have been hotter. It was very windy and in the low 60's so it was on the warm side not hot. Regardless, we still loved it and stayed near the pipe that spewed the spring water into the pool. The hot springs makes your skin smooth! It isn't sulfuric so it doesn't smell (I still love sulfuric springs) for those who don't like stinky water. All in all, it's a must stop after a weekend in Vegas, or get a nice rub before your raging haha. read more

A group of 12 of us camping at Furnace Creek in Death Valley decided to drive over an hour to check this place out after a day of hiking to shower and relax. Outer campsite did not offer such facilities. We paid $30 each for night passes (checked in at 7pm) and left around 9:30pm. This is my list of pros and cons for our visit: Pros: *For a night visit, the facility seemed clean and apparently was recently updated. From what I could tell, there seemed to only be 4 rooms with Hot Spring soakers. I could be wrong. *Even though I brought my own, providing mini bars of soap was great for showering before getting into the soakers. You get 30 minutes to use one of these rooms. *Hot Tubs in the pool area were nice and hot and felt great during a cold January night. Cons: *Outdoor metal restrooms did not have any lighting so finding a place to use the restroom or even change had to be done by our cell phone flashlights during the evening. *Hot Spring soaker (Room #3?) we used was not hot. The water coming out of the wall was, but the water we soaked in was tepid. I slipped on the first step into the soaker so watch your step and use that handrail. I later found the outdoor hot tubs were hotter than this. Since only 1/2 of our group could get into a room upon arrival, the others went to the pool area to wait their turn. After reporting that the water wasn't hot - they stayed in the pool area and never got to soak in the hot spring soakers. *About the staff - the Concierge at the check-in desk didn't seem like they were ready for us or seemed overwhelmed when we got there. My friend had made us a reservation beforehand. The gal who lead us to the rooms was nice at first and even offered us some food (we declined) but then seemed to be bothered afterwards - especially during the 8pm pool cleaning. I'm sure they need to stick to a schedule, but asking 12 people to scoot over again and again in a pool was a little annoying. I would have thought they would clean before we all got in the pool or after. (Shrugs) *Outdoor Pool and Hot-tubs were right next to RV Camper Parking and apparently some tent camping. There was no separation or privacy for the pool area from the campers. Some hedges or something to block that view of the parked RV's or camping right near the pool gates would make the pool visit a bit more peaceful. I don't feel like we got our moneys worth for this particular night visit, but reading other reviews - when it's all going right - it seems like it is. I'm not sure if there are other Hot Springs in the area - but when we come back next year, I may try to look elsewhere if not just to compare. read more
