They passed themselves off as an experienced and highly rated company, but that is highly suspect. On August 13, 2019, I signed a contract to install nine replacement windows and siding on my primary dwelling, which is less than 1,000 square feet. As of January 31, 2020, there is still unfinished work, although I paid them in full in November 2019. In my opinion, their customer service is incompetent, and some of the worse I have ever witnessed. My family has received several excuses regarding the length of time it has taken to perform the work, and even now, not completed. And the lack of empathy shown to end the disruption to our lives after almost five months! The only thing that has been timely is collecting payments. In late October, they installed the windows in one day, but the siding has taken over two months. Once they received the full amount in November, the work lost momentum and slowed down to a snail's pace one to days a week on average. There has been no activity since January 7, 2020. And there is still some minor unfinished work, i.e., completing window trim, shutters installation, replacement of a window that was ordered in error, and clean up and hauling a large amount of debris away from the backyard and driveway. I last spoke to Jennifer on January 24 asking for a completion date, got more excuses and there's been no more communication from her as to the status. As a result, I have filed a formal complaint with the Missouri Attorney General Office because I am fed up. Overall, I was pleased with the work done by the siding installers, but those who work in the office are incompetent. There were several weeks that they refused to schedule the workers without providing any reason. They used poor weather as an excuse. However, had they scheduled earlier when the weather was mild, they wouldn't have run into bad weather. My husband is a Vietnam veteran, entirely blind, and a survivor of two strokes so I have had to undertake this ordeal without his assistance. We are both in our 70s. I honestly believe they have no regard for taking advantage of seniors since receiving full payment. And now we appear to have been placed on their low priority list. Sadly, the unjust treatment my family has earned through this entire process from the management is unconscionable. I highly advise anyone reading this post not to waste their money and to hire a reputable company.

Balance due after the job was completed. A few days later the installation scheduler set us up for Wednesday 6-5-19 to do the work. The window was from 7:30AM to 11:00AM. At 10:00AM I called them to ask when they were coming. I was told a truck broke down and the installer would call me today to reschedule. I called them back late Thursday to ask when they wanted to reschedule. The person I spoke with seemed to have no idea about a broken down truck or my call from the day before. She also told me someone would call me the same day. That didn't happen either. It is now Friday. I called again and was assured this would be resolved today. They are now closed. No one has called. I want my $600 back.

    Bloom has such great customer service! I did some research and so many people recommended this company because of it's great customer service. I needed to be able to pay on a certain date and they worked with me to accommodate that. About a week later, I came home one Saturday after being out and saw the lights on my roof and a sign that showed they had been there! Directions were easy to turn on and the fact that they will come out on designated days to replace bulbs, if needed, is a plus! Plus the guarantee that if you don't like your lights for any reason, by a certain date, they will come take them down and give you your money back. No need for that seeing the amazing job they did for us! Thankful we got this taken care of early and looking forward to our Christmas lights all season long!

They were extremely happy to cash her check but have not and will not return phone calls or give an update on when they may be out to finish the job they started. I do not recommend this firm and candidlyIf I could get them to call me back I might get a refund given I have to go out today to buy new plants and do all of the things that they were hired to do

The in-home consultation with Mike planning a basement bathroom was helpful to get an idea of the layout of things. However, during that consultation in our home we talked about budgets as the initial quote for a basement bathroom was $15000. We tried to find ways to stay within our budget. Crazy ideas like, what if we buy a vanity ourselves for $500 instead of budgeting $1500 for one they want us to use, were met with annoyance and reasons why that wouldn't work. Long story short, Mike ghosted us. We never heard back from our calls and ultimately ended up using another company to complete our basement project. I wish I could recommend them, but I truly cannot. I get the business end of wanting a certain price so you can turn a certain amount of profit, but ghosting someone is never acceptable and only required a quick call to say "it doesn't sound like we can do business together due to different budgeting priorities ". It left a bad taste in our mouths and that is the story we tell anyone who asks about using Modern Kitchen & Baths.
