At first, everything seemed fine. About a week later, it started taking two clicks on the fob to start the car. I didn't make a big deal of it since I was told the key was under warranty. I then went on a trip out of the country, and when I returned ready to drive my car, the new key no longer worked at all. When I contacted them, instead of honoring the warranty or reprogramming the key, I was told it must have been my fault for "dropping it." I had barely driven the car a few times before leaving the country, so that explanation didn't make sense. Their only solution was to sell me another key at a "discounted" price, which I felt was unfair given how quickly the first one failed. This is not how good customer service should work. As a business owner myself, I would never treat customers this way. Instead of standing behind their work and building long-term trust, they chose to push the blame and charge me again. Very disappointing experience.

Jordan came and even though it seemed there was no way to get into my trunk because my car was in "being stolen" mode and we couldn't pop the trunk and couldn't get to it from the interior of the car, Jordan found a crack of space leading from the back seat to the trunk, and spent an hour trying to reach my key with a long tool using a tiny flashlight. He didn't stop until he got my key. He went above and beyond. The Turo dispatcher had told him he could leave because there was no way to get to my key but Jordan found a way. He was determined and patient. He saved me so much time, frustration, and money. I was going to have to get my car towed and do a new rental. And all this in pouring freezing rain. I did a stupid. I noticed that I was low on gas when I parked my car this morning and made a mental…read morenote that I needed to fill up first thing when I got back to the car. Well, that mental note was worth the paper it was printed on because after about 15 minutes of driving around and exploring Raleigh, my car decided it was done. Oops. Fortunately, I was able to coast to a safe spot and figure out my current address. And even better, there was a 4G so that I could boot up the GEICO app and request assistance. Just under 30 minutes later (they promised 45), this gentleman shows up with a can of gas. We poured it into my car and made sure it started up and then he was off. Friendly, helpful and "Yes, this really happens all the time" so I didn't feel bad about being an idiot. That was all on me.
