Beautiful medium size park situated around Crescent Lake. Lots and lots of birds of all varieties. They have a wonderful paved loop around the lake. The lake is very well kept and they have a wildflower area. Lush vegetation surrounds the lake and attracts and assortment of wildlife. Added additions are the dog park, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, and fenced in children's playground. It is also a great location to enjoy a delicious picnic.

Love this place, just to be outside is awesome. Let alone walking around the lake and feeding the squirrels. Help me out peeps I make follow-up calls here in between exercise

This is a very large and beautiful park near downtown St Pete that has a fantastic walking trail around a gorgeous lake filled with all kinds of Florida birds: herons, pelicans, ibis. The walk is long enough to use as an actual hiking or exercise trail and also shows off the parks many trees, including a massive Banyan tree. There is plenty of field space as well, tennis courts, and a nice playground. This is one of the most pleasant places in the Tampa Bay Area.

Such a great park with lots or grass to lounge around on. A kids play area. Tennis and pickle ball courts and a distance marked running path. Grab some sandwiches and hang out here and relax.

There is so many animals to see at this park. The sidewalk trail is just about a mile. As we were walking around the pretty lake we saw many squirrels, ducks and duckling, ibis, moorhen, cormorant, anhinga, and a heron actually eating a fish.

Beautiful park to take a walk through with great tree coverage! Dog friendly with dog park along the walk if you need to take a break! A ton of wildlife around the whole park! Beautiful lake!

I am a runner so I tend to run in trails in the local parks. I have always ran in this park because it was close to home when I lived in the area, now that I live further up I still drive down here to do my run . You may ask why? I'll tell you why. The park has three running trails of different lengths so you can choose which one you want to do. I run the outer train which I which 1 1/10 of a mile. Today I decided to do my eight mile run. If you want to train for longer runs I would say this the park in to train . Most parks close when it's dark and they close the gates but this park is open to the public all the time and there are cops that patrol it so you feel safe. It is also very lit so your not running in complete darkness like other parks. There are always people around especially families around so your never alone in the park. I have not been bothered here so I feel very safe . Okay, so it is great place to run and walk your dog but it is very busy especially around peak times which is 6:30 to 8:00 pm meaning the trails have people on them and you have to walk around them if they don't give you room to do so, many times they do. So if you do not like crowded places you may be frustrated. The park is always keapt up very well and I have no problems running. It is well maintained which makes me happy .

Just a quick pic from near the dog area. I was on my skateboard!

I have to say that this is one of the local parks that I frequent more often. It has everything you need. Dog park for the pup, playground for the kids, and lots of area to play football or soccer with the guys. Maybe even have a picnic with the family. The park is pretty clean, but watch out for the geese droppings when they are around. I come here a lot to run my dog on my longboard or just have a jog around the lake. I've even been out there late night and never once had any concern about safety. A nice area filled with nice people. Oh, there also is fishing, but only during a certain part of the year. I think after Labor Day for a few weeks. Hope you enjoy!!!!

    Beautiful park!

Several of her family members and her five (5!) children. It is a beautiful place, well laid out, plenty of parking, gorgeous views and dedicated to all veterans, so a special meaning for me as a veteran. With beautiful, covered areas for grilling and eating, lots of paths for walking, jogging, and dog walking. A huge playground for children, which made for hours of fun for the kids. Plenty of parking all around the lake. A nice dock for feeding the ducks and fish, not sure if they allow fishing or not. A nice workout area with lots of different exercise equipment. Plenty of war memorials for veterans and families of veterans. Several areas of names of local veterans that served. And really nice and clean restrooms for after a couple bottles of water. Most impressive though was the placement of a combat jet lifted high in the air. A beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable park nestled right off a main road. Just watch the GPS carefully, it's a small road leading in. We missed it but the jet caught our attention and we turned about.

It is a wide open field with agility obstacles, hills, sitting area. I'm sure the grass could've been tended to more. I'm not sure how the water fountain worked, every one seemed to have known, but there are two large dog bowls owners periodically would fill up instead of letting the dogs drink out the fountain. There is dog poop bags provided at posts throughout the park, but the only trash cans I spotted were at the entrance (so it's a long walk with poop in hand). Be careful where you walk. I saw owners picking up poop, but there is still enough poop to warn you of your step while there. The was a water fountain at the entrance as well, too. There is a covered concrete portion with seats. It was posted that on Wednesday's the park is closed sunrise to noon for maintenance. I brought my own ball thinking there wouldn't be any as this was my first time at this dog park, but there were plenty. An owner told me someone brought a large bin of new tennis balls for Christmas/New Year's. It's a very large park, so it's easy to lose sight of your dog At first, a pit was being aggressively dominant with Baloo and no one even paid attention to their dog but after a while I step in and corrected the dog for its behavior. Later saw that it was a woman too busy in conversation. Overall cool dog park, love that it's close by. Will probably go back for a last minute dog park day.

One of my favorite playgrounds in Tampa bay…read more This is what you do for a half day on a weekend. We park at the parking lot that is closest to playground. It's the first one you come up upon on your left when you're driving down the street. We put in for three hours of parking which comes out to $7.35. We walk to the playground and while the kids play, I go to the outside bar and grab two skinny margaritas, which are very reasonably priced. Then we go to Doc Ford's or another restaurant close by for a meal. And then depending how crazy the kids are, we may take them back to the playground. This is such a fun place for the kids, half of it is shaded with a canopy and half of it is shaded by trees which means it's hit or miss whether the play equipment is shaded. I highly recommend putting on sunscreen. It is close to a small beach and splash pad also so you can walk amongst the three if it gets really hot. There's an area for younger kids 2 to 5 and the other part is for kids 5 to 12. Bring cardboard because kids like to sit on the cardboard and ride down a tiny hill that's there. Usually though there is cardboard left by other kids, but if you go first thing in the morning, you should be the people that bring the cardboard. It can be pretty crowded. All the kids seem to get along and my kids who are five and seven have an absolute blast year every time. I highly recommend.
