I am a builder and have been in business for over 35 years. When building custom homes I used a few pool contractors all with bad experiences. When I started to do research for my own pool I went with fiberglass. Dell pools was more money, but a legitimate company with a large office and staff. The others seemed shady to me so I went with Dell. I could not say enough about these guys. From the installers to the finishers and the communication with the owner and staff on any question or problem I had with my pool. After a year my pump went they got on the claim right away with Hayward and resolved my problem right away. This 4th had a problem with internet connections, Dell sent out a guy right away and corrected the issue. If you are going to invest in a pool make sure you look at the company because they are in it for the long haul. We used Dell twice and our experience was completely different. The first time we used Dell, they corrected a poor installation done by a different hot tub company. The second time we replaced our fiberglass hot tub with a Bradford stainless steel hot tub and added a outdoor fireplace and a built in BBQ. The quality of their work was top notch and everything was done on time and on budget. We have a lot of experience working with contractors. We have built a home, gut renovated another home and done an additional dozen projects such as kitchen remodels and additions. This business seems to be a partnership of pool, landscaping and fencing contractors. Primarily, we needed an extensive pool renovation. I compared estimates and references and choose Dell Pools and Spas. A very unfortunate choice, which ended up in disaster. Our newly replastered pool was compromised and is covered in smudges. No way to say how it would perform with time. In addition, grout on large pool deck is done sloppily and weeds started invading it after one week. Don't invest your money in that business! The fencing and landscaping around the pool were done by two other guys and that was a very good experience. They both were professional and timely. That is the reason why I gave overall two stars rather than just one. After all, our interest was to have well working pool. The rest was just packaging though elegant and satisfying. read more

Worst experience I ever had with a contractor. Should be no stars. Layout was completely wrong. Owner spent zero time and interest at job. Tried to over charge by a ton and he got way more than deserved. Left job site a mess daily. Tossed cigarettes in pool. Installed a damaged product and it still does not work properly. I called and was hung up on THREE times as a result of poor communication on their end. When I finally got to speak to someone, they told me it would cost me $125.00 just to come out to my house to give me an estimate to look at my Koi Pond. I have had MANY contractors do work for me, and have NEVER been charged to come look at the project for an estimate. If you're going to charge for an estimate, why don't you pay for better phone service first and act like a real business? read more
