Dr. Dellosso is an excellent doctor in every way, efficient, knowledgeable and so very helpful. I agree that he is a wonderful medical professional!! When I arrived for my appointment that I made through Zocdoc, the receptionist told me that their internal booking system and Zocdoc are not connected and that I didn't actually have an appointment in their system, despite having booked one. Basically they use Zocdoc to get a bunch of patients in and then cancel anyone who books when the doctor isn't available, which is a relatively small percentage of the time compared to what you are able to book online. read more

Seeing Dr. Dellosso was a losing proposition, which is why I only saw him once, and won't be back. He was polite and professional in his mannerisms. However, one of the reasons why a went there is that I was having stiffness and excruciating pain in my left big toe as a side effect of augmentin, after never having trouble with that toe before. With only a cursory examination, he diagnosed it as gout, which I'd never had any issues with before, and prescribed another drug. a couple of steroid shots from a podiatrist, and now there's nothing wrong with that toe. read more

I went to Dr. Dellosso hoping to find a convenient primary doctor. I went in for a physical, and had the opportunity to ask exactly zero questions. He walked in, asked me a few basic questions (age, medications ect.) and then set off on his tests. He then left so a nurse could come in and take blood, saying he would be back. He dropped by as the nurse was leaving to say goodbye. At no point did I get to ask questions or tell him what was wrong. He never even asked for a detailed medical history! I will be seeing another Doctor to re-do my physical. Unless you're will to bet on his guessing your conditions, don't visit him. read more

Dr. John Dellosso is the greatest doctor in all of NYC! I don't know how many years he's been my PCP but it must be coming up on 20; I can't imagine my life without him. Upon my arrival in this fair city I was horrified by every doctor I went to. I'm a once a year see a doctor kind of patient; I wouldn't have thought it would be so hard to find a good and relatable person to fit the bill. After many crazy old quacks I found my way into Dr. John Dellosso's office and I never looked back!!! He is brilliant, confident & extremely easy to talk too!!!! Dr. Dellosso is my PCP since 2013 and has never let me down or misdiagnosed anything. He is always up to date about medicines and their possible interactions/side-effects. No matter how busy, he always enters the room with a smile and listens to your concerns. The front desk staff is BUSY. Like most places, sign in and sit down. The desk staff isn't there to entertain you, nor is there another office somewhere in the bldg. The whole practice is being run from that tiny area, so give the ladies a break. read more

Dr. Dellosso was excellent. But the front desk staffs, office manager, all of them are not really helping customer. They charged me some more cost on lab test, even though it was annual check-up. They tricks patient's insurance code. I tried to fix the problem. They never give an answer but just avoid the problems and put me on hold forever. Whole thing was frustration, even my insurance agent tried to figure out, and they never cooperated with my insurance company. read more

Dr. John Dellosso is a decent doctor who unfortunately over schedules patients. One is usually rushed out (not in a rude type of way) since he has way tooooooooooooooo many patients to see on a daily basis. I like him, but it is almost impossible to ask all the questions about one's health since he has so little time. If you are looking for a quickie(sometimes 3 minutes visit for under $100.00 then Dr. John Dellosso is your guy.) The front desk is very organized. I have been going there for years and keep saying I will switch but whenever something comes up, it takes the insurance a few days to make the switch then it is too late. I once waited for an hour and 45 minutes to see him, although I was early for my 1:00pm appointment. There were no apologies. Usually the waiting time is not so brutal.... read more

I rarely leave other than positive reviews, but I need to discourage anyone seeking treatment with Dr Delloso, or treatment from this office. I was a patient of Dr Delloso for years before I decided to look for a new doctor. It took me that long to realize that it wasn't just me, that it was worth any hassle of seeking out a new doctor somewhere else. My experience with this office was one of constant discouragement, whether scheduling an appointment or refilling a prescription over the phone. I always got a sense that the women working there tried to get me off the phone or out of the door as quickly as possible. When I had to be there for an appointment, there was an assumption that I was almost in the way. At the office my visit wasn't prioritized. The office itself is messy or even dirty - it shouldn't be that way, and it needn't be that way either. My doctor at this location, Dr Delloso, gave no attention to me on my visits other than as a name on a list to be checked off. He wasn't interested in talking through any of my treatment, or any problems I had with the treatment he had suggested. His office requires at least one full physical every year, including blood and urine. As a healthy 33 year old woman, I didn't see the point in that - I didn't have any symptoms of illness. But as he actually wouldn't fill a prescription if I didn't come in to the office often enough I found myself doing a lot of physicals. I am deducing that this was in order to get more money out of patients. I can't imagine I am the only one who had this experience. If you are now or have been treated badly at this location, by Dr Delloso or by this office, don't blame yourself. I have found another doctor that is efficient, helpful and respectful, who never treats me like a chore or milks my better judgement, who is easy to see and reach out to without any hassle. Dr Dellosso himself was great - very quick, good listener, and helpful. However, the front desk staff are incredibly difficult and rude. I just called to have my prescription referral sent to my physical therapist's office and spoke with the most defensive and unhelpful woman. When I called the physical therapist's office to make sure they eventually got what they needed from Dr Dellosso's office, she said they did but that the woman was extremely rude to her as well. Not worth going back to a doctor's office like this when there are so many others in the city with better patient service. read more

Have been seeing him for a few years, he takes on multiple roles. He is a great doctor and is better than my dermatologist, urologist and gyn combined. He is extremely well versed in modern medicine and for the most part is on point on most diagnosis. He is very nice and I recommend him to anyone in my family. My sister is becoming a patient on Monday and I couldn't be more assured than with her in Dr. Dellosso's care. Also the staff is wonderful, Crystal and Chantal are great, I love chatting them up when I come in. He also has late hours on Tuesday and Thursday if I'm not mistaken. Let me start by saying that I haven't had a problem with Dr. Dellosso personally, but this rating is a reflection of the front desk staff. I booked an appointment for 8:30 on a Monday morning, and apparently the person who scheduled the appointment was unaware that the doctor was at a conference at day. Evidently, they tried to call me to tell me the appointment was canceled but according to the front desk were unable to leave a voicemail. While the appointment was canceled they then continued to send appointment reminders via email, as soon as 12 hours before the appointment. When I arrived at the office to learn my appointment had been cancelled, the office manager decided to be extremely rude to me, especially when I questioned why they would continue to send email appointment reminders when the appointment was canceled. She offered no explanation for why they didn't cancel the appointment over email, when they clearly had my address, or offer any apology or to reschedule with another doctor. She just said no one else was available to see someone for a physical and so I left. Will definitely be finding a new doctor with a more helpful and less rude staff. read more

Dishonest, was triple billed for one appointment. Doc is okay but I am not willing to pay three times for one appointment, staff knows and freely admits they have issues billing clients multiple times and has done nothing about it. read more

Dr. Dellosso is the one terrific doctor. I've been with him now for over 25 years and hope to be going another 25. My Cardiologist, my Chiropractor, My Podiatrist and my Dentist all know of him and respect him. He excels in SO MANY areas, but the one thing he's absolutely better at than anyone else in New York City is his ability to diagnose a problem and if he can't fix it he recommends a specialist to see almost immediately. The specialists he sends you to are also terrific and with his phone call you'll see them usually within a week. His office staff are knowledgeable and efficient and the office location is perfect. Getting prescriptions refilled are quick with his well staffed management team of nurses and office personnel. Your appt. time is hardly ever taken late and if it is it's because he'd much rather be efficient with the patient than keep a tight schedule. All in all, Dellosso has seen me through the best and worst of times and never fails to impress me. The one thing I don't like about him is that after 25 years of knowing him he still has all his hair and still looks the same as he did in the 80's. Now that's not fair. read more
