I had provided an outline and text I wanted carved and they exceeded my expectations as they put more detail into the swords of the throne and I was blown away by the design. It's crazy how affordable Ice Lab is and they were completely responsive as I had also reached out to other companies who never got back to me. I could tell by their website alone that they would be the best anyway because the site was easy to navigate and provided a lot of information. No hidden fees and they deliver on what they say. You don't need to worry about some weird bait and switch. Ice Lab is legit! Their prices may seem a bit higher, but I can tell you it's worth it and you get what you pay for so if you want the best, this is it. Connor delivered our Throne on the day of the birthday and did such an awesome job piecing it together and was so nice about answering all of my questions. Casey's team killed it! I would 100% recommend Ice Labs without hesitation for all your ice sculpting needs. I can't wait to get a chance to do another ice sculpture with them. We've already recommended them to a bunch of friends at the party who wanted to know how I got the sculpture and they couldn't believe I did it all online. They were the highlight of the event! There's no elevator though so getting to the rooms might be hard if you're wheelchair bound or have bad lungs. The property overall is nice. I don't live on Kent Island anymore but if I was to do a weekend getaway trip I would consider booking a room here over a chain hotel that is on the Narrows Bridge.

It was nice to be walking distance to restaurants and the Tiki Bar too. Two highlights of our trip were a visit to the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center and a sightseeing cruise from Coastal Cruises who were docked at the hotel!

When we checked-in we learned that there were three weddings happening that weekend. The people working the front desk were beyond kind and helpful. We ended up with a highway view room, but we didn't mind because there were enough common spaces to see the water. We had a delicious lunch at Fisherman's Crab Deck next door. My dad then picked us up at the docks at this Hyatt on his boat which was so easy an amazing. The room itself was just what we needed. It even had a pull out couch. The only complaint was that the bathroom didn't have a fan and steamed up really quickly and the AC was a bit weaker than expected. The water pressure was really strong and nice. It was enough space for four people for a night. Parking was easy to find. And the morning breakfast had a lot of great options. I especially loved that they had oak milk. I would stay at this Hyatt Place again and recommend it!
