Delta is not well represented here at CPH, only four check in counter and one dedicated for Sky priority. In order to approach the counter, first you have to go though security screening, where you would be questioned like "did you pack your bag? Did you buy anything since you packed?" Etc. that takes about ten minutes, depend on answer they might call for secondly screening which supervisor would ask more questions.
Check in is just like any airline, tag the bag, get a ticket, adios, head to security & crazy duty free world awaits (yes it is insane how serious Danish are when it comes to duty free!)
Boarding process starts with more screening. Delta has it's own gate C26, guarded by own security team.
Gate area is super small and could fill up rather quick, there are not enough seats and bathroom is small, so highly recommend your time getting there.
Interestingly they don't scan boarding ticket, and all visual check.
Sky priority for boarding is somewhat enforced but this is European, cutting line is expected.
Flight itself is pleasely nice even in economy class, food items were well prepared (see photos). However, aircraft is a total crap 757 ETOPS with misaligned windows and broken entertainment system so that makes you wonder the SAS flight next to you look like heaven.
Overall, for a US carrier in foreign soil this isn't that bad. read more
