We had a good experience on our flight from Phx to Seattle. The flight actually left ten minutes early if you can believe that!! We had used points to upgrade to first and had a hot lunch included. I had preordered the chicken curry (doesn't look great but actually tasted pretty good- curry consistency was more like tomato paste). I did wish there was more chicken in it tho. Hubby had the short rib (which is his default) and he said it was good- not enough protein, though. He skipped the carrots for some reason but enjoyed the rest. The chocolate dessert was the right amount of sweet and bitter. The new connected experience is nice- full free WiFi as long as you have a delta sky miles account. You use a QR code to connect to the seat back and can set your content preferences etc. The seats recline quite far tho and even in first- it was tight for my husband. Could be worse I suppose! Wow delta seriously get your act together out in Phoenix!! First flight out in the morning the airplane is delayed an hour for luggage and waiting for fueling. You are better than this do better in the future. When your planes are brought in at night why can't you have a team at night refuel clean and leave paper work for the morning crew. So the morning crew doesn't have to have all the passengers sitting on the plane for an hour having to wait for the paper work to get cleared. Shout out to one of my favorite airlines! I flew Delta again coming back to Phoenix. Delta is one of the airlines with it's nice comfy seats, clean cabins and spacious leg room. Unless, I was on a new new plane, I forgotten how much a difference it is between Delta vs other airlines with the exception of United also being a fav. (Some American flights are nice too). I love that, you can request all of the snacks offered instead of just the pick 1. Lol The flight attendants are always, well put together with clean pressed uniforms. Love it! The cabin entertainment is also awesome to have, which, helps ease the pain of your flight if there is a crying cutie on board. Whenever I'm flying Delta... I'm excited honestly! In most cases, their ticket pricing seem higher but if you add the cost of a check bag, you could end up paying about the same therfore, I suggest doing the math before finalizing a flight (Don't be cheap and become a spirit) lol Yes, I will definitely recommend flying Delta! read more

Customer service. I was recently on an overbooked flight and graciously offered to check my bag to allow more room for other passengers to have luggage on board. My suitcase was damaged, to the point of being unusable, and because I was unable to speak with a delta agent at the airport, they will do nothing for me. Our flight delayed and I had a scheduled (costly) airport pickup that I could not delay, making me physically unable to speak with someone at the time. Customer service shared that they recognize this is frustrating but ultimately don't care and will do nothing to rectify the situation. We will never fly Delta again. read more

I am beyond frustrated with Delta Airlines and the absolutely terrible customer service we experienced. Our flight was canceled, which is already stressful enough, but what happened next was completely unacceptable. We were told Delta would provide a hotel for the night. After being sent to the hotel, we arrived exhausted only to find out there were no rooms available -- and worse, there wasn't even a reservation in our name. We were essentially stranded with no help and no accountability. To make matters worse, we spent over five hours on hold trying to reach customer service, and the text messaging option was completely unresponsive. No updates. No assistance. No solutions. Just silence. Delta left us scrambling late at night to figure out accommodations on our own after they failed to follow through on what they promised. The lack of communication, organization, and basic customer care was shocking. This was one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had. I flew Delta Business Class to Brazil and back, and it was one of the most disappointing premium experiences I've had. For the high price I paid, I expected comfort and quality -- but instead I got an outdated plane, cramped and uncomfortable seats, and food that was barely edible. The movie selection was extremely limited, especially compared to other airlines flying long-haul international routes. I flew from Phoenix to Seattle last month and enjoyed the experience. (West Jet on the return route was a different story. ;) ) The gate was clean and spacious departing Phoenix. Delta offered to check carry on bags for free since they were expecting a full flight. We departed a few minutes behind but arrived on time to our destination. All passengers were provided with free headsets to enjoy Delta's complimentary seat back entertainment which offered several choices. The aircraft landing was controlled and smooth. My carry on luggage came out fairly quickly on the luggage carousel and this allowed me to head directly to the ride share curb. No complaints about this flight. A pleasant trip! read more

Delta Airlines for many years, was one of the top airline for customer satisfaction, along with Alaska in the US. Then the wheels started falling off. Somewhere along the way, they decided to upgrade their seating charts for overseas travel. At this point let me explain, that we tend to fly economy plus on domestic flights and business overseas. There in lies the problem. Delta doesn't really offer traditional business class anymore. The Main Cabin is regular economy. Delta Comfort Plus is economy with some extra legroom. There is also a sub category called Basic Economy, which must be a very tight seat. Delta Premium Select is premium economy, again with some extra legroom and the seats go back further. Delta One is the branding for the airline's hybrid Business class/ First Class. We used a couple of hundred thousand miles to get basically, Premium Economy seats thinking it was traditional Business Class. Absolute waste of good Amex points on our Delta Skymiles Reserve card We complained at the Delta Lounge in MSP after flying from PHX. We received a combo of award points and cash certificates for future travel. Hence, the Four Stars instead of two. read more

I had a Delta Customer Service rep book the flights. Upon checking the next week on my seats I discovered that one of the legs of the trip - a 5 hour flight- was booked on a super saver rate with Korean Airlines and I can't reserve a seat. My return flight back is in economy with Korean Air and I can pick seats. When calling Delta to see what the problem is I was told that this is the way the flight was sold and I should check every leg of the 6 flights to confirm what class of ticket was sold. Nowhere on Delta's pricing page discloses a super saver fare is included in a Premium ticket. This is ridiculous and a bait and switch in my opinion. I flew to Italy in February and all legs were Premium/Preferred. I will now have to check my June flights to see if I got screwed on one of the legs going to Europe. No way should a flight be advertised as Premium Select when a 5 hour leg is a Super Saver seat!!! No way should a passenger be required to line check each flight to verify your advertised class of seats are actually as advertised! Shame on Delta--buyer beware and I will be going forward. Bought 2. $700 plane tickets to New Orleans however couldn't use the sky club because I didn't get the $150 more class of main cabin. so the perks are NOT there. Upon arriving at the airport I'd originally thought a Delta flight would be a negative experience but I was wrong! It was a later evening flight to Seatac and I appreciated going through security, the airport and the Gate wuthout the usual daytime fuss. Once onboard the plane I found it wasn't that bad. The video screens (and the complementary earphones) provided everything from the Safety Brief to the varied entertainment. It had seemingly everything from adult to toddler shows, games and music. The seats were comfy enough and the one guy who refused to wear a mask (there's always one) was escorted off the plane unceremoniously. The return flight wasn't bad either. Both Crews were professional and friendly; this includes the Ticket and Baggage Takers. Also the Runner who helped with directions and where to weigh the baggage. I DO want to see about joining The Delta Lounge Club deal; from the outside looking in it looks pretty sweet. Foe affordable flying I'd consider adding Delta to anyone's list of airlines. read more

I must say that the service I received from the check-in desk went above and beyond from Lily, and especially from Robert. They were able to get me to where I needed to be before it became a real concern! ------ Despite hearing from the desk that my 1st flight to an international airport was cancelled by a different, separate group, those news didn't prevent the staff from calling for additional assistance from Lily and Robert. I had gotten to the airport 2 hours ahead of departure, and time was ticking since it was nearing the time to board according to my itinerary. They were able to get an active line phoning the booking travel agent so we could find out where the disconnect was. Robert and I were both stressing with the unprofessionalism from the agent (they weren't showing the slightest bit of empathy- could have been that it was 5 in the morning.. still..), even though we were doing our best to be cooperative. We were being told that I needed to follow up with the next airline I was supposed to be scheduled with after I landed, but didn't resolve the fact that I didn't have an active ticket to take me there.. The best Robert said he could do for me was to at least get me to my next destination, which admittedly was probably the biggest help that I needed to avoid compounding situations. Their systems are apparently down (like always) & I'm unable to meet both minors at their gate as Delta committed to me. $150 ($300 round trip) for this level of service? Pathetic. They could improve the bag checking process because I had to put my bag at the back of the plane due to no storage being available above the seats (which is better than having to get it checked but still had to wait for everyone to get out to go back to get my bag). I feel like that hasn't been a thing on other airlines as in usually if you get the seat and they say you have a bag, you have the space above. Also was running late (two flights back to back). Also one flight during the day we weren't allowed to open the windows so it was very dark in the afternoon. Overall it's not the worst but just compared to other options I probably wouldn't choose it. Plus is that they do serve alcohol on some flights. read more

Delta flight 2668 was from BDL to MSP on Sunday, departing at 6 am. Any idea what time you have to be up to make a 6 am departure? For the flight to MSP we chose the ham and cheese omelette with fruit and a croissant. On a scale of 1-10, about a 6.8. It was pretty good. Delta flight 1522 took me from Minneapolis to Phoenix, during which we enjoyed a very attractive and delicious charcuterie bowl with fresh fruit and a croissant. Over Thanksgiving, we flew from Phoenix to Seattle and back on Delta. We had splurged on first class. It was a disappointing experience. I hope I don't sound like a dilettante, but we did pay much more, and expected much more. On the trip up, I was surprised at the lack of legroom, and very disappointed in the food. Given the choice of meals, I selected the cheese burger with salad. The burger came open-faced (that's fine) in a piping hot bowl. A bowl? The bun, both top and bottom, were stuck to the bowl. I had to pry it free with a fork, tearing the bun. While I did have a small side of pickles, I had no tomato, no onion, no lettuce, just a few slices of pickle and packages of condiments. So, I constructed the burger, stealing some shredded lettuce from my salad. I then bit into a very well done (not as in they did a good job, but as in there was no moisture left in the overcooked patty. It was awful, but the pale ale was nice. Please know that one bad meal would not generate a one-star rating from me. The real disappointments were on the way back. On our return trip, the plane was older and beat up. The entertainment screen was tiny with outdated controls and a very limited selection of movies. I had to take a wet-wipe to clean the screen and my window, as both were splotchy as if they were swiped with a very dirty cloth, making me wonder how clean everything else might be. Again, leg room wasn't great. The second time the entertainment system played the video of the safety announcement, I looked at my wife and said, "They did this already, didn't they?" Yes, they had. They then announced that the entertainment systems, on which they were airing the safety announcements, weren't working in a lot of the cabin, so they did the safety presentation a third time, but this time in the old school way -- live and in person. Once this fun was over, I looked for the movie that I had started on the way up, and wanted to finish. No go. The selection of movies was far smaller than on the trip up, and the movie I wanted to finish wasn't there. Very few were, but I selected one. About an hour into the flight, the screen went black. After several minutes pushing buttons and trying to restart it, the captain announced that they were doing a full reboot, in order to get the malfunctioning units working. It would have been nice to tell us that ahead of time, don't you think. By the way, I understand that the reboot didn't work. In prep for the meal, I lifted the tray from the arm rest and unfolded it. It had clearly been repaired multiple times, and didn't fit between the arm rests, meaning it rested on each and hung in a slight, but weird, V shape down into my lap. When the food tray was delivered, the delivered food tray floated sort of mid-air. My wife's tray was even worse. My chicken salad was OK, at least. Not good, mind you, but OK. Lastly and importantly, the flight attendant seemed unhappy to be attending to us. After the flight and off the plane, two people sitting behind us engaged with us and said, "Wasn't that gal serving us awful?" We said she wasn't very friendly nor attentive, but didn't see her being rude. They said the gal was very rude and short with the guy sitting across from them, and that they felt they had terrible service. Then they said, "Delta has finally managed to become worse than American." When given a choice, we will avoid Delta in the future. read more

Took some 10-15 mins in queue for our turn to come. Lady assisting us was quick and nice but she tried to sell the delta card upgrade to us. read more

I take my luggage with me in planes to make things faster for me, so I won't be talking about that portion of the service. Took my first flight from Phoenix to Detroit. The staff was friendly and offered beverages multiple times due to a longer flight and we even arrived a few minutes early that was greatly appreciated since I needed to eat before my next flight. The flight was nice and easy, there was no turbulence or anything and we had a very nice soft landing. This plane was equipped with AC plugs and smart TVs. They had technical difficulties with these and where unable to fix them in order for us to watch movies. Fortunately I had my tablet with me and didn't require that for entertainment. The waiting area for Delta had a few places to charge but a bit far in between for my taste. Everyone carries electronic devices and some carry more than 1 during a trip. read more

Delta is my preferred airline domestically (and internationally when it fits) and I am fairly loyal to them. Their app and baggage tracking and rebooking options are by far the best of any I've experienced and I enjoy the Medallion upgrade benefits they offer to their loyal customers such as free bags, free upgrades, priority boarding and drop-off, etc. I recently flew Delta from Phoenix back home to Norfolk going through Atlanta. Check-in was smooth and easy with a curbside service as well as several manned baggage drops and self-service kiosks. Easy day and I barely waited in line. Delta did delay the flight by about 1 hour and 15 minutes when I had about 1 hour and 30 minutes of layover so that was exceedingly stressful as I ran at full speed through the Atlanta airport across two terminals.... not fun. I did make my flight and they ended up holding it for an extra 15 minutes for others since it was the last flight of the night to Norfolk, VA. My bags made it, I made it, and everything was OK. The terminal in Phoenix airport is nice and has plenty of food and shopping options and the staff were all helpful and friendly during my ordeal, trying to assist in any way they could and apologizing for the issues. During the flight the COVID protocols were in place and they made sure to remind folks to wear their masks at all times, even when snacks were being given out. Additionally, signage is everywhere in the airport and at checkin requiring masks. read more

Flying back to Atlanta: I'm starting to travel again & went back to Delta from SW as the latter is declining on personal preferences. Paid a little more for my ticket, yet worth it from the friendly, attentive service from both the Gate/Flight Attendants to the comfort & space. The in-flight experience was great, especially with the C-19 safety precautions that the flight crew did not stray from. The service did not alter one bit as everything passenger accommodation-wise was noticed & well received. The restroom was thoroughly cleaned as well as the seat areas. I'm looking forward to resuming traveling with Delta, just need for the airfares to decrease just a tad bit...yet worth the overall flight experience nonetheless. read more

First, we had to check our luggage even though I INTENTIONALLY packed only carry ons to avoid doing this; this has happened to us the last four flights we've taken. Then when we got on board, my husband and I swapped seats. Same row, same last name, but we swapped so I could sit next to my daughter. A flight attendant got on and made us switch seats, claiming, and I quote, "I can't do a headcount if you're in the wrong seats". Um??? These are the seats I paid for...? Then, they told us if we didn't switch, they'd make everyone get off the plane because what if someone was missing? At no point did they check our IDs or boarding passes, they just asked our names. Then the flight was delayed because they did this to other people. Before we could leave, they got stupidly picky about the under the seat bags; if you could so much as see a purse strap, they wouldn't move until you rearranged the whole thing so no strap could be seen. Honestly, this was the most ridiculous flight I've ever taken. People around us were literally complaining on the delta app as this was happening. You're getting worse and worse by the flight, Delta. Additionally, the preference for referring to managers as 'peers' is unconventional and makes navigation within the company difficult. Purchased premium economy. Which is known as comfort class on delta. Only one bag. Pretty poor service. Qantas has two bags. Not my first choice of airline to fly internationally. Will update review as I travel. Update after traveling The seats recline more than basic economy which is great. Although the seats feel as they were made in the 90's. Real vinyl feel The food is so sad. The dinner served on the international flight was very basic and rather tasteless. I kept laughing at myself as I paid extra money to be comfort class or whatever they call it. I checked the fruit that came with the cheese. There were exactly two grapes on every slice of cheese. The dessert was a very stale tasting brownie thing The breakfast was a box kind of launched at customers when it was served. A nondescript muffin, a yoghurt and semi frozen orange juice. Warning: They are great at breaking wheels off checked bags and they make it very difficult and almost impossible to file a claim.

This review is long overdue. When we had to fly last December for a funeral, Delta was awesome with regard to COVID precautions. The aircraft was not overcrowded and passengers obliged the mask protocol. The aircraft was very beautiful and seats were comfortable. The staff were friendly. I am a big guy at 6'2" and 250. I found my seat about as comfortable as one can find. And we departed and landed on time with baggage intact. read more

If anybody is planning to travel .. avoid Gate 1 Travel and Delta Airlines .. even with the insurance they would not allow me to change a trip I booked in Dec to Spain .. even with a 2 month notice.. I lost 100% of airfare with Delta and 75% of my payment (fees, plus insurance ate up 25%, so that 50% back is BS).. $2k flushed because my sons Navy graduation is this Friday .. they said it was not an emergency and military is not a good enough reason!!
