My mom passed away suddenly,I had to travel over 900 miles . I always drive, but with Biden gas prices , I had to find another way. Day before Easter my bag was taken off a flight from Atlanta to Panama City FL because they claimed they had too much gas therefore the plane was too heavy to fly. So my clothing and gifts for the evening party and Easter Sunday wouldn't get to Me until the next flight later that evening. A Delta employee Jonathon called me at 9:30pm and said "sorry we can't get your bag to you tonight... it will be delivered sometime tomorrow." How very inconsiderate and rude. I asked to speak to his supervisor named Rebecca and she told me to drive out and get it! I didn't rent a car and Ubers are hard to get. Besides it's 11pm and the airport is an hour away. Rebecca even asked me why I didn't fly with another airline because I was unhappy. Then she asked me if I'd been drinking.... Is that why I couldn't drive?!!? Dah... I don't have a car. Then she said she was going to put me on a no fly list!!!! Seriously? Because I want my bag? I offered to pay a taxi to bring it to me but they wouldn't allow it. I will never fly Delta again. It was a horrible experience and anyone who spends 900.00 on a flight from Chicago to Rosemary Beach plus 30.00 to ship a bag should have their Easter ruined by pathetic airlines and their rude employees. great covid policies, but i had a PRIORITY BAG that they put on the wrong flight. my flight landed at 3 pm and my bag didn't land until 6 pm. i've been wait for it for a few hours and still don't have it. unacceptable. read more

To any breeder shipping a dog or new owner buying a dog from a breeder and having it flown to you - DO NOT USE DELTA AIRLINES!!! They claim ""Taking care of our customers is at the center of everything we are doing." This claim is B.S.!!! We just tried to have a dog shipped from Pensacola to Sacramento and were turned away because the shipping crate was ONE INCH TOO HIGH!!! My wife spent over an hour with a Delta agent going over every possible detail to arrange this shipping (including crate size), but when the breeder brought the dog to the airport "Jim" refused the shipment because the crate was one inch too high. When challenged he only said it was Delta policy. No logical explanation, like safety or storage difficulties, nothing!!! Use American!!! read more

I only used Delta b/c Southwest did not fly my route. Both ways I was unimpressed with the service and very surprised by the Nasty attitude by some of the flight attendants. I know everyone has a bad day, but on 4 different flights with four different crews I experienced sassiness. I also experienced a nice young lady flight attendant that gave me a bottle of water even though they were not doing service (30 min flight). When I asked her if they were serving drinks I meant VODKA, but she was sweet to give me the water. On the way home I was stuck in PCB after my delta flight was cancelled. I had been promised to be out on the next flight. Somehow I got lost in the shuffle and got shafted off the flight. The one guy at the gate was extremely RUDE and could have cared less for my situation. So all I could do was take it because you can't get excited with airline workers, i'd end up on the news. Anyway, I went to southwest and they worked with delta and a very nice man that gave up his seat for me. He overheard our convo and was super kind and not in a hurry to get to his destination. So cool. With delta I feel like I'm walking on egg shells with their employees. I'd rather not pay to feel that way, I have friends and family for that! Wow! Delta has made a turnaround. I am a frequent traveler and I left Delta a few years ago to go to a more friendly airline, Southwest. During my last trip I flew Delta and was impressed by their customer service on the flight and on the ground. I will consider changing airlines! read more

Very nice. I got a first class seat. The sky lounge thingy had great cookies. The plains also arrived on time and security was quick. Security took forever though. read more

This airline is a joke. We were flying out of Florida and tried to check in at their counter. We were tight on time but still more than a half hour before they couldn't accept anymore baggage. The woman at the counter was obviously training because she had trouble working the computer and couldn't figure out how to make the bag scale work. She called over someone else who couldn't figure out how to work it, zo they called over another person. Finally ten minutes later, they went and got the manager and he told us it was less than a half hour to our flight and and that they couldn't get us on the flight today and we would have to pay an extra $300 to change our flight to the next day and lose 5,000 skymile points each. When we asked why the manager couldn't get us on with 26 minutes left he told us he couldn't refusing to give further explanation. When we called the customer help line they weren't any more helpful. Even though it was their staff who made us late they still charged us a total of 10,000 travel points and could only get us to Milwaukee instead of Madison. So, in addition to paying extra to even get close to our home we have to rent a car to get the rest of the way. read more
